We loved the property, and the room , but the elevator was on hold for at least 20 minutes, they told us the roof top was priority as they had a private event, I felt like because we only paid for one night we weren’t important, other then this small issue the hotel is very unique , love the fact they have bottles of wine at the room and the LP player with real vinyl records is amazing ! I’m staying there for Christmas and new years celebrations!

Hotel Goodwin 2nd time visiting for my wife and I and they will continue to get our service. Great set up we went two years in a row to celebrate our anniversary. We ate at the restaurant downstairs food was delicious. We didnt get to enjoy the rooftop our 2nd time due to a wedding party. Someone is sharing our anniversary date so they will last forever like us ...

This is a beautiful property and the pictures are accurate. I loved the shower and the toiletries. My only complaint was that the toilet paper was not as plush as everything else in the room and that the lounge was closed at 9:00 p.m. on a Thursday night so there weren't any in-house options at that time.

Stayed in 5 hotels on this trip. This was easily the nicest. Everything about it was luxurious. The art and design were excellent. Rain shower in the large shower. Record player in the room with assortment of records. Led Zeppelin IV was the first to go on when we arrived, but Blue Oyster Cult’s Some Enchanted Evening side B was the best!! (Your room will vary.) Desk people always greeted us warmly, smiled and were very helpful with any questions about what to do in the area. We were on a college visit trip and it makes me excited to think that if my kid goes to school there I’ll get to go back too… The in house Italian restaurant was excellent. Only negative was the bike and elliptical in the fitness center had some glitches so my workout was compromised. But in light of everything else, it’s a solid 5 stars.

Beautifully restored hotel with elegant, spacious rooms. Best waterfall shower I’ve ever experienced. Great rooftop bar and the attached Velvet Buffalo restaurant makes this truly a one-stop destination.

It's a fantastic hotel, great restaurant and rooftop bar. Only drawback I see is parking.I think guests of the hotel should get preferential parking due to lack of when the restaurant is busy. I had to move my car twice so it didn’t get towed when I was forced to park into another business parking.

This may have been the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of hotels! Room was beautiful, large, clean and just decorated amazingly. Ate at the Velvet Buffalo restaurant in the hotel and had an amazing dinner. If you are ever in Beloit stay here!

really great hotel. lots of food options within walking distance and the room was gorgeous. everything was super clean and the shower was sooooo relaxing. they have a nice roof bar with views. i would definitely stay here again.

This is an adult hotel for couples designed for a man's pleasure. The hallways are dimly lit, and decorated with black carpet and doors. There are murals of women's bodies on the elevator door and throughout the building. In the middle of the room is an all-glass shower for voyeur interests and the like. Fingerprints were found on the glass which made the shower feel unclean. Patrons are not ethnically diverse. Staff appear uncomfortable with patrons who do not look like them. Patrons were offended a glass of champagne upon check-in while we were not offended the same.

For the price we felt we should have a real breakfast not grab n go basically. The air conditioner blew constantly and you have limited control over temperature change. Room cleaning consisted of making the bed only.

A shockingly beautiful renovation of an old office building in downtown Beloit. I had a bright large nicely outfitted corner room which I loved. Whatever D Hendricks politics, she has done an enormous amount to rehabilitate her "home" town. The open shower might be disconcerting to some. I loved it. I hate the cheapness of roku TV when all I want is a local weather forecast.

The room was very nice and clean, not as big as it appears in the photos but was a good size. Was a little thrown off by the "open" concept of the bathroom and bedroom being open to one another. Not completely open but open enough where you do not get any privacy in the bathroom. If you or your loved one is laying on the bed they can see you in the mirror sitting on the commode. The shower was amazing, the rain shower head was wonderful and the water temperature and pressure was great. Best shower ever! Was happy to see the room darkening shades when we arrived, however they do not work very well as soon as it was light outside it was light in the room because the light came in around the sides of the shades due to them being smaller than the window and the positioning of the bed by the window lets the light shine right in on your face. I am sure if you are a morning person this wouldn\'t be an issue but for those of us who aren\'t it wasn\'t pleasant. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. The rooftop wine bar was very nice, it was a very relaxed setting, the drinks were delicious and the prices were good and again the staff were great. Overall it was a very nice place, aside from the little things I mentioned.

I like the location and the friendly staff. Unfortunately I was unable to control the heating/ac for the room and the system is somewhat loud and cannot be turned off. The Wi-Fi seemed a little erratic. Otherwise the rooms are clean and comfortable.

The hotel and rooms are spacious and beautiful! There is a turntable and records in the room. So fun :) The hotel decor is gorgeous. The only negatives were the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and we didn’t get much sleep. The location of our room also was loud due to traffic in the morning. This hotel is worth a try for it’s ambience.

Nice bed and nice bathroom. The chairs are missing from our room (our friends have a room down the hall where they have chairs, so we know what we're missing in this big open space). Our coffee maker doesn't work and when asked the staff member in front thinks there is no possibility to replace it. our room phone keeps blinking and the front desk says it's an error and we should ignore it. We cannot control the temperature in the room because we get warning notes at the thermostat that the temp is centrally controlled elsewhere. The front desk person isn't sure what to do about that. Two of our lights don't work. None of these are terrible, but it's all these little annoyances that we didn't expect in a "special" hotel.

A wonderfully warm welcome after a long drive. The staff was tremendously welcoming upon our 10 pm arrival. The room was spacious and elegant. It perfectly accommodated our family of 5 plus 2 dogs. The staff provided a neat gift bag for our pups. I highly recommend this historic and charming hotel to all.

We got into town at 1:00 so room was not ready but desk clerk said they would text when it was. There was no place to wait inside so we went nearby. Never got a text. Just went back about 3:30 and a different clerk said someone should have texted us... ok but would have been nice to know.

This may have been the nicest hotel we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of hotels! Room was beautiful, large, clean and just decorated amazingly. Ate at the Velvet Buffalo restaurant in the hotel and had an amazing dinner. If you are ever in Beloit stay here!

While the hotel was definitely comfortable and the shower was amazing, I think overall the place is quite a bit overrated. I didn't see a huge difference between the features of the rooms at this hotel and something significantly less expensive like Home2 or Hampton Inn. Sure, the record player in the room is cool, but not worth the difference in price. The staff were okay, but did not seem super excited about their job, which I thought said a lot about the hotel. Parking was difficult at night because the hotel shares a parking lot with the restaurant in the building, and the "continental breakfast" was a small table with pre-packaged pastries that did not taste fresh, stale-tasting coffee and tea from a small kettle, and yogurt. Very underwhelming. So, while there was nothing distinctly bad about the hotel, for the price I expected a lot more. My recommendation to others would be to save your money and stay at a different hotel.

For the price we felt we should have a real breakfast not grab n go basically. The air conditioner blew constantly and you have limited control over temperature change. Room cleaning consisted of making the bed only.

Stayed in 5 hotels on this trip. This was easily the nicest. Everything about it was luxurious. The art and design were excellent. Rain shower in the large shower. Record player in the room with assortment of records. Led Zeppelin IV was the first to go on when we arrived, but Blue Oyster Cult’s Some Enchanted Evening side B was the best!! (Your room will vary.) Desk people always greeted us warmly, smiled and were very helpful with any questions about what to do in the area. We were on a college visit trip and it makes me excited to think that if my kid goes to school there I’ll get to go back too… The in house Italian restaurant was excellent. Only negative was the bike and elliptical in the fitness center had some glitches so my workout was compromised. But in light of everything else, it’s a solid 5 stars.

Booked Hotel Goodwin last minute as we needed a place to stay for the night. Rooms are very large with many windows making it feel roomy and airy. Amazing shower with two different shower heads and the hot water was plentiful. Staff very friendly. Would highly recommend.

This was our 12th annual Girls Weekend trip. We had a wonderful stay! The hotel room was beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff was amazing—everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. We enjoyed the bar and restaurant, and the food was delicious. The rooftop was a great place to relax and take in the atmosphere. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend! Jack, Jennifer and Jaylene were the best Ambassadors to greet you and make you feel at home. As we called them the J team!!

This hotel was the most wonderful surprise after a long day of driving! It is extremely well maintained with attentive staff, a great little gym, and spotless rooms. We really enjoyed using the turntable and records in our room. Would love to stay here any time!
