Lovely hotel and grounds, spa was small but adequate and great condition, food was excellent, a we bit slow getting dinner, but it was worth the wait! Buffet breakfast, plus i order fresh pancakes of the menu which where top notch. We went for a walk up the mountains after check out, and we took in some incredible views. First time there, i would recommend it. I'm sure we'll be back again in the future.

Great hotel setting and couldn’t fault the quality of the hotel, rooms, service and facilities as a wedding venue. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel grounds provided excellent walks in a woodland environment. The wedding catering was just perfect and the castle itself was the perfect location, slightly away from the main hotel, for the party to continue as long into the night as desired. Definitely recommended.

Stayed in Woodside Cottage £220 for the night, swimming pool and thermal facilities timed with allocated slots, bit like during COVID.This facility is at a cost of £20 per person despite having paid for our accomodation I think Killeavey Castle is punching above its weight,it's a drab grey and green on the outside and ultra modern and minimalist internally,this might have worked if "castle" had been dropped from the title.Not a single open fire or panelled wall. We just had lunch,chowder was delicious but duck wings were grey and tasteless. Staff were just about pleasant - not quite sure if they were happy to be there or not.

Absolutely stunning property in a stunning location. If you go to Newry and wish to make it memorable i strongly recommend here. The staff were amazing, beyond helpful, polite and considerate, i can not commend them enough. The location is stunning. We hired bikes and circled round the area. It was very safe and the drivers were very aware and respectful to cyclists. The views are astounding and the spa, albeit small, it is perfect for the hotel and it is very well managed so it is never bursting at the seams. Breakfast is Irish buffet and you can order of the menu which is all included. The tea and coffee was delicious. Very clean and hygienic. After each guest, the table cloth was changed. This hotel and the staff made our trip. Everything you look for from a hotel, cleanliness, ease, friendliness, views, helpfulness, good food, relaxation, activities, fresh farm food and i could just keep going. This is the place to stay. Thank you to everyone at the hotel that we met and made this stay amazing.

The self check in is convenient however with check not until after 3pm we didn't arrive until after 4pm when it was dark. The house had very little lighting outside which was difficult to manage in. There's not many amenities for a dog friendly house, eg outdoor bins for waste, possibly a hose for cleaning the stones. There was no soap at the kitchen sink so you have to go into the bathroom in the bedroom to wash your hands, again this isn't convenient. There was dust behind the lockers in the bedroom which I noticed plugging in my phone charger. There was also a slight smell of urine in the living area most likely from a previous dog. We didn't have anyone check in with us from the hotel to see if everything was ok which was surprising as the customer service prior to our arrival started off very attentive. I feel for the rate charged for the stay it was overpriced.

Lovely hotel with great views. The room was large, bed large and very comfy, and bathroom large and well equipped. We didn't get a chance to go to the spa but had a pleasant walk around the grounds which are well sign-posted.

Hotel exceeded my expectations, it was spotless the staff were so helpful and friendly. Beautiful walks and amazing views castle restoration was fantastic and the beds were super comfy. Can’t wait to go back.

Overall, this is a lovely, modern hotel. We stayed two nights, with our 7 week old baby, in a family room (one king size and one queen size bed). In general, the room was great. Very modern and clean. Bed was super comfortable and they had a cot in the room (on arrival) for our baby. Only two negatives about the room - the shower screen is far too short (so the entire bathroom gets soaked during a shower) and the TV would randomly restart itself in a different language. Staff around the hotel were very polite and friendly. One young man in particular was excellent (served us for breakfast one morning). They were also very accommodating with us having a young child and a pram (in the restaurant etc.). Only two small negatives - service at dinner (both nights in the bar/bistro) was extremely slow. Checking in when we arrived was also very slow (took more than 10 mins…). Food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast also had a great selection. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly go again.

We had a 1 night stay going to a wedding. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Venue was very clean. Room was very clean, spacious and ensuite was the same. All food was to a high standard and delicious. Booking in and out was efficient and quick.

We stayed here as part of a wedding party. The location is stunning, the drive up to the hotel is very picturesque. Our room was excellent with two Juliet balconies facing in different directions. The decor and fittings were like new and very modern. A good sized bathroom and plenty of hanging space for our clothes.

The room was a good size and amenities were fine. Two issues though. The building is a fairly new build and they have Air Conditioning in the public areas like the restaurant but failed to have any climate control in the rooms. So the windows had to be left open (didn't help much) and there were constant weddings with bands and noise outside the windows. Uncomfortable for sleeping. Also, after a day of touring there is no food service after 9 PM. no chef available so no room service. not even a sandwich. Food was good but not outstanding. Friendly staff.

I liked the grounds of the property and the walks. Dinner was excellent and service very good but breakfast was lacking between quality and service however I feel in some way that it was miss sold by Expedia as the pictures don't really show the external plain looking structure that you arrive up to and stay in they show a lovely looking castle which sold it to me. So first impression from car park wasn't great no picture on the site off this first view of the property. The interior finish on this hotel in general is very simple I stayed in the superior guest room and found the room ok, the Bathroom compared to other 4star holels was lacking and very cheaply finished. To sum it up just no wow factor from entering the hotel to leaving it.

Lovely hotel and grounds, spa was small but adequate and great condition, food was excellent, a we bit slow getting dinner, but it was worth the wait! Buffet breakfast, plus i order fresh pancakes of the menu which where top notch. We went for a walk up the mountains after check out, and we took in some incredible views. First time there, i would recommend it. I'm sure we'll be back again in the future.

Overall, this is a lovely, modern hotel. We stayed two nights, with our 7 week old baby, in a family room (one king size and one queen size bed). In general, the room was great. Very modern and clean. Bed was super comfortable and they had a cot in the room (on arrival) for our baby. Only two negatives about the room - the shower screen is far too short (so the entire bathroom gets soaked during a shower) and the TV would randomly restart itself in a different language. Staff around the hotel were very polite and friendly. One young man in particular was excellent (served us for breakfast one morning). They were also very accommodating with us having a young child and a pram (in the restaurant etc.). Only two small negatives - service at dinner (both nights in the bar/bistro) was extremely slow. Checking in when we arrived was also very slow (took more than 10 mins…). Food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast also had a great selection. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly go again.

We had a 1 night stay going to a wedding. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Venue was very clean. Room was very clean, spacious and ensuite was the same. All food was to a high standard and delicious. Booking in and out was efficient and quick.

Absolutely stunning property in a stunning location. If you go to Newry and wish to make it memorable i strongly recommend here. The staff were amazing, beyond helpful, polite and considerate, i can not commend them enough. The location is stunning. We hired bikes and circled round the area. It was very safe and the drivers were very aware and respectful to cyclists. The views are astounding and the spa, albeit small, it is perfect for the hotel and it is very well managed so it is never bursting at the seams. Breakfast is Irish buffet and you can order of the menu which is all included. The tea and coffee was delicious. Very clean and hygienic. After each guest, the table cloth was changed. This hotel and the staff made our trip. Everything you look for from a hotel, cleanliness, ease, friendliness, views, helpfulness, good food, relaxation, activities, fresh farm food and i could just keep going. This is the place to stay. Great hotel setting and couldn’t fault the quality of the hotel, rooms, service and facilities as a wedding venue. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel grounds provided excellent walks in a woodland environment. The wedding catering was just perfect and the castle itself was the perfect location, slightly away from the main hotel, for the party to continue as long into the night as desired. Definitely recommended.

We stayed here as part of a wedding party. The location is stunning, the drive up to the hotel is very picturesque. Our room was excellent with two Juliet balconies facing in different directions. The decor and fittings were like new and very modern. A good sized bathroom and plenty of hanging space for our clothes.

Lovely hotel with great views. The room was large, bed large and very comfy, and bathroom large and well equipped. We didn't get a chance to go to the spa but had a pleasant walk around the grounds which are well sign-posted.

A lovely, and large property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only complaint is the lack of real room service after 9pm. Having a sandwich after a day on the road wasn't a great finish to the day.

The room was a good size and amenities were fine. Two issues though. The building is a fairly new build and they have Air Conditioning in the public areas like the restaurant but failed to have any climate control in the rooms. So the windows had to be left open (didn't help much) and there were constant weddings with bands and noise outside the windows. Uncomfortable for sleeping. Also, after a day of touring there is no food service after 9 PM. no chef available so no room service. not even a sandwich. Food was good but not outstanding. Friendly staff.

I liked the grounds of the property and the walks. Dinner was excellent and service very good but breakfast was lacking between quality and service however I feel in some way that it was miss sold by Expedia as the pictures don't really show the external plain looking structure that you arrive up to and stay in they show a lovely looking castle which sold it to me. So first impression from car park wasn't great no picture on the site off this first view of the property. The interior finish on this hotel in general is very simple I stayed in the superior guest room and found the room ok, the Bathroom compared to other 4star holels was lacking and very cheaply finished. To sum it up just no wow factor from entering the hotel to leaving it.

The self check in is convenient however with check not until after 3pm we didn't arrive until after 4pm when it was dark. The house had very little lighting outside which was difficult to manage in. There's not many amenities for a dog friendly house, eg outdoor bins for waste, possibly a hose for cleaning the stones. There was no soap at the kitchen sink so you have to go into the bathroom in the bedroom to wash your hands, again this isn't convenient. There was dust behind the lockers in the bedroom which I noticed plugging in my phone charger. There was also a slight smell of urine in the living area most likely from a previous dog. We didn't have anyone check in with us from the hotel to see if everything was ok which was surprising as the customer service prior to our arrival started off very attentive. I feel for the rate charged for the stay it was overpriced.
