It was a decent place to stay at am affordable price. Keep in mind it is in an area that’s a little ghetto but they take security seriously that only people getting the room are the only one on the property.

The staff is friendly and conscientious. Checking in was fast and easy. Central parking lot was very convenient. Overall, this is a great motel in the area. I will plan to stay again next time I'm in the area.

The Solo Motel was clean, convenient with friendly staff. The room was comfortable, with all the essentials you would need. Our room had parking directly outside our door which was perfect. The surrounding area is a little run down, but this shouldn’t stop you from staying here, it’s a perfect stop for a night or two and close enough to central locations (Crypto Arena etc).

We stayed here because it was only a 25 minute walk to BMO stadium. The walk was pretty sketchy so we ended up having to drive anyway. Had I known that before we would have probably stayed elsewhere. Unfortunately just not a very comfortable stay. You can hear everything that’s going on in the rooms next to you and the bed could be improved. They require a $50 cash deposit that is inconvenient and the staff seems annoyed. I would not recommend this place. In their defense they do have a parking lot which is nice and easy to use. The rooms are clean and look just like the photos. There are many better options in LA for the same price.

When I pulled into the parking lot the hotel owner/manager saw 3 people in my car. When I went to check in he asked me how many people were checking in and I said 2. He said he saw 3 people and only two were allowed to check in and there were no visitors allowed in the rooms. He also informed me I would have to pay $50 cash which I didn’t have. He directed me to an atm down the street at a local supermarket. It was pretty close but that caught me off guard. Since no visitors were allowed, I had to immediately bring my friends to their hotel room before I was allowed to check in. Once I returned he asked me for id for me and my daughter. I told him she was a minor. He asked how old she was. I told him 13. He asked if I had her passport. I said no as we are American citizens and she doesn’t have any id. He looked dubious to say the least. Eventually I was given the room key. Parking is a bit limited. The room was clean but did have a VERY strong deodorizer smell that gave me a headache at first. The temperature and mattress were comfortable and the hotel was walking distance to the concert venue I was going to but the walk was scary. This neighborhood is ROUGH and that’s putting it gently. Upon checkout my deposit was returned. I would stay here again now that I know the visitor restrictions because it was affordable and close to that specific venue (bmo stadium).

The property feels safe and protected in what is an otherwise dodgy neighborhood. The staff are pleasantand helpful. There wasn’t very much ambient noise either time I’ve stayed there. Note the $50 cash deposit payable upon check-in.

Nice tiny and clean place. Everything was fine. The Taxi driver was very surprised, because the area is Not Safe. It is a Little Bit Like a ghetto with many Crazy people and drug Smell. The Motel itself is Safe!

It was perfect location during the graduation of our son at USC, we stayed 2 night cause we actually attended 3 graduation ceremony including my son's Masters degree. well its close to USC. I have 2 concern before going to Solo 1st security, 2nd parking.well the place is pretty secured and parking is plenty.its quit and super clean note they clean the rooms daily and they dont have a dont disturb sign so expect your room to be entered if youre away which is fine by me. we checked our belongings once we came back and non have been touched. wifi was very fast i was able to do some work at night.btw. no coffee maker :( there is a mexican grocery just accross the st. where we bought water. but i dont recommend walking out at night unless you carry a glock haha! well over all we loved our stay at Solo Motel LA. btw. the staff was very friendly and very accommodating. but during check out which was around 650am because we had to drive back to San Jose upon getting our $50 deposit the guy was still friendly or trying but you can tell his not in his best of mood which i totally understand. Anyway Thanks again! and I will book again! :)

Staff wasn’t very welcoming/friendly, didn’t communicate hotel policies very clearly and each staff member you we spoke to said something different. Rooms are cleaned at odd times and they make you leave the room each morning of your stay to do room service, but after leaving our room for 2 hours our room still hadn’t been serviced and our only options offered were to wait in a different empty room or just take fresh towels without a cleaning. Found a dirty dirty diaper from previous guests inside our room on the day of check in. It’s an okay hotel if you just need somewhere to stay that’s close to BMO stadium but not worth it otherwise.

This hotel is in the middle of a homeless camp. The pictures are nothing like it looks. Everything is dirty, broken and we didn’t see anything except open doors on every room. We pulled in, tried to cancel and a maid came and told us no refunds. Nobody will get back to me. This hotel is dangerous, dirty and nobody should even drive in the area.

The property itself is located in a unclean environment. But once you arrive on the premises it doesn’t feel like you’re in that area. Place looks just like the photos. Staff is friendly and nice. Room could use some more attention when it comes down to being cleaned, they seem to do more surface cleaning than in-depth. Overall I would give them a 7/10

We stayed 4 nights; property was as advertised. Very clean, basic room. Neighborhood was a bit loud at night, though we stayed during 4th of July weekend so revelers started fireworks early and went well into the wee hours of the morning for a few days straight. Overall a convenient location for us into downtown LA and good value for the price.

It's always a red flag when they ask you for a cash deposit. The room was nice, but there was no overhead lighting for the bed save for some weird multi-colored disco thing? (?) Also: Extremely loud club music until midnight across the street. Forget about shuteye until late. Also no "Do not disturb" flyer

As soon as we got thete the woman behind the counter made us pay $15 in CASH because we had 2 people in each room, not just 1. I've NEVER had this happen. The neighborhood is rough to say the least. This place was hella nice and I will be returning if I come back to LA! Pretty close to downtown (short & cheap Uber ride) and nice if you don't want to be in the city. Neighborhood was a bit loud at night, though we stayed during 4th of July weekend so revelers started fireworks early and went well into the wee hours of the morning for a few days straight. Overall a convenient location for us into downtown LA and good value for the price.

The staff is friendly and conscientious. Checking in was fast and easy. Central parking lot was very convenient. Overall, this is a great motel in the area. I will plan to stay again next time I'm in the area.

Staff wasn’t very welcoming/friendly, didn’t communicate hotel policies very clearly and each staff member you we spoke to said something different. Rooms are cleaned at odd times and they make you leave the room each morning of your stay to do room service, but after leaving our room for 2 hours our room still hadn’t been serviced and our only options offered were to wait in a different empty room or just take fresh towels without a cleaning. Found a dirty dirty diaper from previous guests inside our room on the day of check in. It’s an okay hotel if you just need somewhere to stay that’s close to BMO stadium but not worth it otherwise.

We stayed here because it was only a 25 minute walk to BMO stadium. The walk was pretty sketchy so we ended up having to drive anyway. Had I known that before we would have probably stayed elsewhere. To be honest the previous owners were understanding and understandable. These one that help shout and give u such bad looks it just was un-welcoming the try to assume your a smoker or drug use and they dont want guest on the property the whole point of visiting and lodging is to visit i my family.stay my guest felt unsafe the whole time. It was perfect location during the graduation of our son at USC, we stayed 2 night cause we actually attended 3 graduation ceremony including my son's Masters degree. well its close to USC. I have 2 concern before going to Solo 1st security, 2nd parking.well the place is pretty secured and parking is plenty.its quit and super clean note they clean the rooms daily and they dont have a dont disturb sign so expect your room to be entered if youre away which is fine by me. we checked our belongings once we came back and non have been touched. wifi was very fast i was able to do some work at night.btw. no coffee maker :( there is a mexican grocery just accross the st. where we bought water. but i dont recommend walking out at night unless you carry a glock haha! well over all we loved our stay at Solo Motel LA. btw. the staff was very friendly and very accommodating. but during check out which was around 650am because we had to drive back to San Jose upon getting our $50 deposit the guy was still friendly or trying but you can tell his not in his best of mood which i totally understand. Anyway Thanks again! and I will book again! :)

The Solo Motel was clean, convenient with friendly staff. The room was comfortable, with all the essentials you would need. Our room had parking directly outside our door which was perfect. The surrounding area is a little run down, but this shouldn’t stop you from staying here, it’s a perfect stop for a night or two and close enough to central locations (Crypto Arena etc).

This hotel is in the middle of a homeless camp. The pictures are nothing like it looks. Everything is dirty, broken and we didn’t see anything except open doors on every room. We pulled in, tried to cancel and a maid came and told us no refunds. Nobody will get back to me. This hotel is dangerous, dirty and nobody should even drive in the area.

The office smelled so bad what ever they were cooking. The wait time to check in was long the owner was kinda rude treating me like if I was stupid, owner came to my car and told me to park my car better to move like 2 inche! Whe every car was park the same because the parking spots are so small you need to park close to other cars and you can't even open your car door without hitting the other car. Property is remodel unfortunately their were Cockroches in the room! Some spiders 🕷 they need fumigation.

The Solo Motel is conveniently located for access to The USC Campus / BMO Stadium and Museums. The motel is clean and comfortable and reasonably priced but the neighbourhood is very rundown. We had to ask for extra towels because the ones provided were small, We needed coat hangers and there was no coffee maker or microwave. Not ideal for long-term stays but suitable for our needs. I’d also advise not taking a large car as the parking spaces are very tight!
