Sea Bay Hotel

Staff was very attentive, parking was convenient, two pools were clean and easily accessed. Rooms were fine.

Great place, clean and quiet. Pool was clean and has a beautiful view of the bay. Hotel has parking and is easy access. I went during the week so I’m not sure how a weekend would be with the noise and with hotel having one elevator. Pool area is small but like I said I went during the week and no one was at the pool, not sure how it would affect being there on a weekend.

It's my family of 4 third time staying at this property. Once again for a holiday weekend it was once again a great stay! The bay view is just so peaceful and beautiful. Our room was on the second floor we didn’t experience any loud noises, it was quiet. Close to many places walking distance. Parking is a breeze, plenty of open spaces. Check in & check out is in the building next door (best western I believe) The pool is small but enjoyable. They provide mini bottles of shampoo and conditioner, my only suggestion would be that they invest in bigger ones however not an issue since I always bring my own. The rooms are spacious, has a microwave and mini fridge. I would definitely recommend staying here and will be booking again!!!

Staff was lovely at check in. However it feels like they are running an extra hotel out of the best western next store and the hotel is suffering neglect because of it. Peeling paint, broken doors, cracked windows, aging fixtures and an elevator that felt like it was struggling to function. Check in is was at the best western, the cleaning staff was wearing best western gear but this hotel was well below the quality of that brand. It’s all just kinda weird. The location was great, the view from my room was excellent. I might stay again just need to set my expectations ahead of time.

Nice bay view if you get that side. For check in I had to go to a Best Western, next door which actually looked a little nicer.

View on the Bay side is really nice. Room was a nice size but the faucet in the bathroom really needs the old dirty caukling to be removed and new fresh caukling applied. White plastic chairs on the balcony needs to be cleaned properly. Same with the lounge chairs at the pool. Also need towels at the pool.

First time at Sea Bay Hotel in Ocean City, MD. (We stayed here since we were going to Fager's Island which is right next door.) Had the bay view room which was clean and experienced no problems. The Sea Bay is with the Best Western so you can use the Best Western pool too. The Sea Bay pool is very small and not much room. As with many hotels can use some paint here or there but worked for us and would stay here again for sure! Location on 60th street is great since you can easily walk to many nearby restaurants or only minutes by car. Didn't go in the cafe they have so can't comment on that. Bathroom and beds were fine which is always imprortant.

Place was good. In good location. The café was nice. You’ll have to try the orange crushes in the café only 5.99 each

It had 2 pools and a Bar Cafe

1. I was not been told to which property I have to move 2. Internet was very poor due which I have to cancel my office meeting. 3. There was not coffee or water in the room. 4. As my kids were excited to go for swimming pool but it was closed at 4:30 p:m and there was no body whom we should complaint . I would recommend if you are managing two properties you should have someone in the other property to be taken care off.

Check-in was friendly and efficient. Hotel rooms are clean, and convenient. Staff is very helpful in all respects. It's one of my favorite hotels in OC.

The room is dated and in need of some TLC. Rust, moldy toilet, musty smell. They provide room service and made beds, restocked linens. The bayview from the balcony was wonderful. Small pool and the cafe is in another building.

Room setup is nice, but seriously needs a deep clean. Stains on sheets, blankets, and a pillow. A hair found in bathtub and inside one of the clean blankets. Was not confrontable with the cleanliness.

Dirty rooms and our toilet clogged the first time we used it. Granted, someone came with the snake to fix quickly.

Room smelled strongly like mildew and we found mold on one of the chairs. We left the sliding glass door open as much as we could to help with the smell. Can't imagine where else mold is hiding. Dropped something under the night stand and it smelled really bad there. Room didn't have any toiletries the first night, they were there the next day though. Very expensive for such a low quality room.

Disgusting experience. There was blood on our balcony curtain; asked them to clean it or switch our room and they just sprayed it with something, still didn’t look clean. Then realized there was a mystery stain on the comforter (white liquid) asked for a change of bedding and instead of changing them out they used the same mystery cleaning substance. Then realized there was a weave behind the dresser. There was also a dark brown mystery substance on bathroom wall. Will be attaching pictures of everything stated in a yelp review.

This property has really gone down over the years it’s needs a serious upgrade. Mold in bathroom on sink and tub, flush toilet could hear the floor rumble, and one elevator that takes forever literally walked up and down the stairs the entire weekend. Horrible stay . The beds are so hard and the covers were so thin.

The hotel itself has clearly Been used as expected but the beds are absolutely terrible. Mattresses need to be upgraded ASAP!

The room was a decent size. It had a fridge and microwave. The water pressure was good. My only problem was my bed. It was so uncomfortable. I felt like I was sleeping on straight springs. I didn’t make a big deal about because I figured I could tough it out. I probably should have said something because they aren’t going to know unless you tell them.

Rooms were fine, just outdated. But fine for the low amount I paid to stay here

The staff was very friendly. Worked perfect for our needs. The room could use a deep cleaning but otherwise it was fine. Internet was very slow but not a major problem.

Very clean. Beautiful updates. Some updates still need to be finished such as the balcony and the bay deck. Quiet. Friendly helpful staff. Great location. Incredible view of the bay.

I was dissapointed due to the rooms not having USB connection and one of my lamp had some kind of dirt like bugs dirt

Nice staff. Rooms facing the water are way better than rooms facing the parking.

This was our 2nd stay at this Hotel...The property is older but they are making improvements nothing fancy but a clean place to sleep. The views from the Bay side are beautiful, My biggest complaint was check in...we arrived at 2:50pm I didn't realize check in was at 4pm (thought it was 3pm) my fault. When I went to check in I was told my room was ready but since check in was at 4pm I would have to pay $25 for early check in. I said I would wait, went back in Hotel at 3:45 watched 2 other couples/guest check in and neither was told they would have to pay early, when I questioned this I was told they offer a courtesy check in at 3pm (what) No one told me that when I first came in, the other clerk who helping other guest (not helping me) Made a point to say I arrived at 2:30 which was not true. This wasn't about the $25 it was principal It was embarrassing and unnecessary situation we were placed in

Our trip was great before we even got there. I requested if early check in was available and Wayne worked his magic. Evelyn called and stated that our room was ready almost 3 hours before our check in but we were late due to traffic but the gesture was greatly appreciated. Then when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with a room with a glorious bay view, a first for my daughter and me, after coming to OC for over 35 years. The only complaint I have is the teenage kids in the rooms adjacent to mine but it was expected.

Needed a place to crash after St. Paddy's Day Parade and... Clean. Good for the price. Walked to Seacrets. Fager's Island right next door. When we checked in, the room was cold, so we turned on the heat and went to Diner at Fager's Island. Came back in a few hour and room was still cold. Thought we stick it out til morning, but wife broke down and called the front desk. This was around 10pm. Thought this was going to take a couple hours. A maint person arrived 5 mins after call. Checked it out and said be back in a minute. He brought a whole new unit, swapped it out and left in about 15 mins. Heat! Impressive.

Well, we arrived at the hotel at 10:00 a.m. and let them know we were here, was advised that our room was not ready which we didn't expect it to be. The front desk person said we could pay a fee for early check in ; however, I declined because we did not need our room early. Received a call at 1:30 that our room was ready, we loaded our stuff up from the beach and headed to the hotel only to be told we had to pay the early check in fee, which I had declined. Questioned the staff, so my room is ready, but you won't let us have it without paying the early check in and she said correct. So we left, I called Amber from the parking lot due to pure aggravation and she explained your policy several times and provided empty apologies (which I hope to not receive after my review). So due to your early check in fee you made a poor customer service decision. I've stayed at so many hotels in OCMD and never had this problem, all the hotels have check in at 4:00 I have never had to wait until that time (until Seabay) which provides a pleasant start to vacation which was far from my experience. Secondly, the bed was the most awful mattress I've ever tried to sleep in, very rough nights and worse mornings trying to get out of the bed... as a matter of fact I'm writing this review early morning because I can't sleep. Lastly, I'm not a complainer, it takes a lot for me to give a bad review, but this is warranted. Please save any apologies, they just add insult to this whole situation

Sea Bay, good value for the price! Staff great during check in. Room ready & super cool. Cannot beat the price for location & condition! Would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here forbbike week and absolutely loved it. Clean rooms, super friendly staff, and great views of the bay. Great parking and bus stop in front. Right off the highway coming over bridge so its easy to find also. 2nd time staying here and both times super happy

It wasn't quiet in the slightest but it was a place to rest at night! The staff was super friendly and helpful. A little weird that there's no staff in the building and you have to go next door; felt a little unsafe since the doors don't lock.

We decided to do a last minute weekend trip w. a child & an infant. We were so impressed w. this hotel! It's not really walkable to the downtown area, but that was okay w. us. Downtown area can be too busy & the hotel parking is usually tight & inconvenient. Sea Bay Hotel had plenty of spacious parking. Room was clean. The bay view was nice. Checking in & out was quick, customer service was friendly. We will definitely be going back! Thank you.

This hotel is in a great location! Just off the major rode and walking distance from Fager’s Island, which is right down the street. Easy walk to beach and short drive to Seagrets.

Lots of convenient parking, walking distance to the beach, and close to restaurants.

Had to walk to a different building in the dark to check in. Our room was fine except no USB ports. Cafe was delicious!

The toom was very nice and had a lovely balcony overlooking the bay. There are just a couple of things that would’ve made this stay even better. You have to check in at the hotel next-door, but that was never communicated to us beforehand. There was a note on the door that I didn’t notice at first. The room was a little bare boned. It would’ve been nice if there had been a lamp and charging station on both nightstands instead of just one. And the bathroom had no place to hang my toiletry bag or counter space to place things on. There also is no shelf in the shower to place shower things. I think the addition of those simple items would make the stay much more comfortable. The location was great and it was nice that there was a restaurant to have breakfast in the hotel next-door.

I didnt like the staff at the Sea Bay Cafe the 1st day but 2nd time around it was alot better and the fromt desk guy at Sea Bay Hotel was very nice to me and accomodated me due to my bad experience

We were very pleased with our stay. The staff was very helpful, The laundry and coffee machine were life savers. Breakfast was pretty good. The room was great with a lovely view of the bay. Would definitely stay again!

The views from the balcony are awesome. Sea Bay Cafe has great breakfast, try the scrapple and chipped beef gravy! Can easily walk to Fager’s Island restaurant and night club, skip the driving. Will stay here again for sure.

Stayed here multiple times over the years. Know the old hotel is scheduled for renovation, hopefully soon. Biggest concern was the status of the bathroom (#433) ... the shower stalls do not have any type of a grab bar for safety - same as last time so learned to bring our two-suction cup grab bars to apply to the shower wall for grabbing and holding on. The shower floors are simply slippery and put one at risk for falls. Always complimentary of the efficiency and friendliness of the check in staff. The Sea Bay restaurant serves great breakfast food, very reasonable in price and friendly staff!
