Checkin very easy w nice staff. Quaint little older motor lodge that appears to be under some rennovation. Our room was very clean, but bathroom still in need of paint and new floor and baseboard. Comfy bed and good parking. Near highway so easy access.

Hotels.com was the go between and i booked 2 rooms together. When we got there, we did not have the rooms that were paid for. Good enough for one night. Rec room has pool table run down and pool sticks old

We had a great time during our 7 day stay while we boated Lake Shasta! The owners and manager of the lodge were very attentive and helpful. The boat parking area was safe and secure. The rooms could use some updating and the area behind our side of the hotel could use some tidying, but none of those things kept us from having a great time and enjoying our stay!

Staff were super nice and service was outstanding, I forgot a necklace and they went out of their way to contact me to get it back. Place was very comfy and relaxing, outside patio was nice as well. Lake, Caverns, and waterfalls just a short drive away in every direction. Can’t wait to be back.

Pet friendly -definitley a plus, very close to the freeway -good in a sense but also very noisy when trucks pass on the freeway. The heater did not work and it was around freezing temperature outside; since the 'front desk' is closed and you only drop off the key in the am when checking out, I could not even let them know. The place was clean but could definitly use a makeover, it seems run down. It is also right next to an adult "club" which did not make me feel great having the room closeset to the street and having to park my car outside the property.

Great location- sandwiched between Mt Shasta and Shasta Lake. It is right off the interstate- and easy to find- but it’s not quiet- ear plugs were helpful. The room had air conditioning- which was fabulous after 90 degree days, mini fridge, microwave (hard to find in rooms) and a working coffee machine. The accommodations- while a little dated, were clean and tidy. Parking was very convenient and close to the room. They had a little front porch. Staff was very friendly and let us check in a few hours early (thank you!). We were able to take a little morning walk around. There is a diner down the street from the lodge.

A place can be cool vintage, but should still be clean. Window sills and blinds were filthy. The entire toilet was very loose & rocking much, and shower head was loose and couldn’t be turned away from the door, so there was water showering all over the floor. Great price, close to I-5 access & very kind & helpful mgr & reception check in but wouldn’t stay here again or recommend.

A great place to stop on a road trip. Note that check in is 3-10pm but they were able to accommodate my late arrival. The family was friendly, the room was clean and a great price. I was in room #2 so I could hear the noise from Highway 5 but this might not be a problem for the rooms deeper into the problem.

The photos didn't match up with how the room appeared in person. The trim around the bathroom floor and the shower door was dirty and stained. We stayed for one night so it wasn't a deal breaker. The walls are thin so you can hear neighbors going in/out. You can also hear cars on the highway, but it's not enough to hinder sleep. The staff checking us in were friendly.

The photos led me to believe I would be in nature but instead it was right off the interstate with transports going all night but for the wee hours except when they pulled up for the night or left at 5am. I had the ac going full blast to drown out the noise of the traffic so that I could sleep. It may not be an issue for other travelers but it was for me. Otherwise the property and owners were great

We needed a place close to the Shasta Caverns, and this seemed convenient. On the positive side, the assistant manager who checked us in was very nice and helpful. When I walked into the room, it was like going back in time sixty years, which was not a bad thing; it was kind of nostalgic, actually. The room was also very clean. It is, though, bare-bones, with no extra frills, which is fine for just an overnight stay. Interstate 5 is very close, so you’ll hear traffic, especially trucks, all night long, but I always travel with earplugs. A suggestion I would make is maybe put a tableside lamp on the other side of the bed as well. And maybe a luggage rack to put your suitcase on inside the closet. Also, the mattress was very, very firm, so maybe bed toppers would help? Other than those few things, our experience was pleasant, and I would recommend it.

Overall the room was good. Pros: It a nice small kitchen along with some utensils. Air conditioning was proper & Bathroom was clean too. Cons: Location of this hotel is little bit secluded and there are no other houses or hotels nearby. Make sure you get to the hotel before dark.

Very convenient location right off of the highway with a very friendly owner. Unfortunately, the lanai of our place smelled like cat pee and the bed wasn’t very comfortable, but it was really nice to have a little kitchenette and the water pressure and heat was excellent. For the price, I felt like it was fine and I’d stay there again.

The check-in instructions were a lot more complicated on the website than they actually were in person. Everyone was very nice, especially the manager Ed. We chatted for a while a couple of times over my stay, telling me about the history of the area, things to do etc. I would stay again!

Avoid this place at all costs. The hosts/lodge owners are incredibly inhospitable and unwilling to help. Our stay turned into a nightmare when we discovered our room had no heater in the middle of a freezing night with sub-zero temperatures outside. Despite the presence of other vacant rooms, no alternatives were offered. They begrudgingly gave us a small portable heater for a spacious room, which didn't even work. When we requested an additional heater, their only solution was to check out. STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST VISITING THIS PLACE!

The Lodge is in a great location close to the various lake access spots. The room could use some upgrades and TLC, but would definitely stay there again based on the location and amenities.

Great place close to the city, lake and lots of hiking. I was surprised the cabin had a cook top and dishes. I would definitely come back again. We stayed 3 nights in Redding and wished I had stayed here the whole time.

A great place to stop on a road trip. Note that check in is 3-10pm but they were able to accommodate my late arrival. The family was friendly, the room was clean and a great price. I was in room #2 so I could hear the noise from Highway 5 but this might not be a problem for the rooms deeper into the problem.

If you’re a light sleeper you might not like it. There are trains during the night and the traffic from I-5. It was convenient for us since it’s right off the highway on our way home. It was a get up and go for the next day of travel. Cleanliness is below average. Property needs updating.

Overall the room was good. Pros: It a nice small kitchen along with some utensils. Air conditioning was proper & Bathroom was clean too. Cons: Location of this hotel is little bit secluded and there are no other houses or hotels nearby. Make sure you get to the hotel before dark.

the room was reasonably sized, andcomfortable and part of a small motor court. Easy freeway access, though there are no amenties nearby. The family staff is friendly. This was my second visit and was quiet with an out in the woods feeling.

Great location- sandwiched between Mt Shasta and Shasta Lake. It is right off the interstate- and easy to find- but it’s not quiet- ear plugs were helpful. The room had air conditioning- which was fabulous after 90 degree days, mini fridge, microwave (hard to find in rooms) and a working coffee machine. The accommodations- while a little dated, were clean and tidy. Parking was very convenient and close to the room. They had a little front porch. Staff was very friendly and let us check in a few hours early (thank you!). We were able to take a little morning walk around. There is a diner down the street from the lodge.

Our stay was nice. The room was cozy and comfortable. There is a dining option which is at walking distance. It is also near to Lake Shasta Caverns. I will recommend Lake Shasta Lodge.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at the quaint lake Shasta lodge. Our dog loved running around the grassy area at the end of the property. After spending our days hiking, we relaxed with drinks and food at the friendly Klub Klondike next door (which has a dog friendly patio).

Our little cabin/room was cute. Older and not fancy but it had charm and it was clean. Mostly quiet (there is a morning train). A place to eat in walking distance. Easy access to I-5. Great for trips.

I thought this hotel was in Mt Shasta so i had to back track south It's fine for overnight, very dated, could use some updating However, excellent service, had micro, frig no restaurants; have to get back on freeway if you're hungry Great price

This little motel is next to Klub Klondike a 1940’s building with good food. It easy to check in forget that you will need to drive all day the next day. Great to not drive for an over night stay.

Room 4 was clean, bedding was clean. There as a kitchenette! We didn’t know. Shower was tight but we said we’d stay there again. Front desk lady was very sweet & friendly. We got there a little after 10 she was just closing up. Glad we didn’t miss her.

It's a small, cute and friendly motel. Everything was clean. We walked around the property and to a restaurant near by. This is not fancy or very modern by any means, but it's family friendly.

This little "hotel" is essentially a collection of rustic cabins, smack dab in the middle of "nowhere" in northern California. My cabin was clean, but quite frankly, the bathroom left a lot to be desired! For one thing, the toilet was competely loose, so if you leaned over after "doing your business", the toilet with lean over with you! It was kind of scary actually, so I had to get used to that. The shower area was very, very tiny (but clean). It remined me those showers on the cruises. But the bathroom, in general, was in a serious state of disrepair. I did have a friendly conversation with the owner, who was an avid antique aficionado, and it seems like these cabins was like a personal project, so I don't want to knock this whole property, but it really needs to have some repairs here and there (some more obvious than others, like the toilet and the baseboard in the bathroom). Other than that, the property is surprisingly quiet, even though it sits right next to the super busy Interstate 5. There's no restaurants nearby other than this whole in the wall called the "Klundike Club" or something like that, with decent food, but lousy/scary atmosphere. However, the location sits somewhere between Lake Shasta's caverns (highly, highly recommended), and Mount Shasta (as well as Castle Crags). No issues with parking either. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for some place to crash at night and be out and about during (most of) the day. Fix the toilet in room # 1!
