Beijing Vancouver Homestay

If you're looking for a bed with no air circulation but a small fan on and opened window in the path of a major airport then this is the place. The rooms were built to fit a bed and small desk but no room. There are 6 suites that share 1 bathroom which is extremely outdated and rusted taps and old tub with basic shower. No parking except the small driveway so it's a guess who's going to get out first. The owners are nice but the resident downstairs doesn't speak English.

The place seems like a haunted house. The shared bathroom was totally disgusting

It is very clean, staff was friendly and allowed to check in early and luggage storage. but not convenient for transportation and shared bathroom.

The only thing that was good was the bed. Bathroomdoor was taped so no one could enter from the bedroomsite and there was dirty kit on the windows etc

It was okay. Nothing spectacular. The washroom was very old , taps had some rust and dust formed. The bathing tub wasn't great either. They charged me for water .

It’s clear the neighbors are not happy with the parking and the owner then played car Tetris to make room for my car away from neighbors house. The garage door (directly under my room) was opened and closed multiple time past 10pm. If you just need a bed to crash on before a flight this would be a good option.

The floor squeaks and noisy, you could hear the loud noise across other rooms. The washroom is so cold, there is no heater turn on and it is dirty shared with all the other rooms.

This house is on a residential area so it is calm and presumably safe but grocery stores and other commmercial businesses are not within walking distance. A bus stop is few blocks away and that is the only public transportation available. The bedroom was very, very small. That coupled with a shared bathroom, the several high additional fees and the the location, makes it an extremely expensive option. It was advertised as “sleeps two” but one person can barely walk in the room and cannot roll over in bed.

Bathroom was shared but not cleaned full of mold. The other tenent was up all night banging around blaring music in bathroom at 330 am kept me awake till 5 am could not get a good sleep at all for the whole stay. Other than that was confy bed good staff great locaton

This place should not be listed on Expedia site, as it is so unsanitary, it is unsafe for people to stay there. I don't think this place ever gets cleaned or bedding gets changed. We found our own blanket in our car and slept on it, as the bed had hair all over it and who knows when it was washed last time. Absolutely disguasting place!

There were a few things that didn’t give my husband and I a good first impression. 1. The bedding was wet when we arrived. It felt like it was taken out of the dryer too soon and possibly felt dry but once it cooled off it was wet. We had to take the pillow slips off, put the portable coat hanger rack on the bed, and drape the sheets and comforter over it with the fan on to dry off. Thankfully we were only dropping our things off and going out. When we got back the bedding was dry. 2. The home smelled like dog pee. Our room did not though. 3. It was not the cleanest home. Dirty floors, lots of human hair on the floors and bedding, garbage bins had leftover garbage in it from previous stay. 4. Very thin walls you can hear a pen drop in the room next to you. However the bed was comfy and the other people staying in the neighbouring rooms were quiet. The home and neighbourhood felt safe. It was a reasonable stay for us considering we were not spending the majority of our time there. If you don’t care about the smell, dirt, and hair then this place is fine. But if you are wanting a clean and more private stay then I would not recommend. We didn’t talk to the homeowners in person but they were very responsive and helpful to my messages through the booking before our arrival. We did not mention our concerns to the homeowner because we were not planning on spending a lot of time there and just needed a bed and bathroom. So the quality of the room did not matter.

Great for a overnight between flights, friendly staff, helpful

The location is OK, near the Walmart with Mcdonald's and Burger King. The room is clean and tidy. The host is very friendly and responsive.

Non English speaking staff

The managers were incredibly unprofessional, inconsiderate, incredibly rude and unaccommodating to very reasonable requests. Would never recommend!!!!!

This family-run Homestay is not easy to find on the map, especially if you're using public transport, but well worth the effort. I got a lift after I got off Landsdowne station on Canada Line. Only $10 from Bejing Homestay to the airport by cab. I was well greeted by young woman who knew just enough English. Note that check-in is only after 4PM ! No ristos or stores close to Homestay.
