The Smoketown Inn was a great place to stay. I really enjoyed the outside sitting areas. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I have no complaints about our stay and would definitely stay here again.

First of all, don’t expect the Ritz Carlton. This is a small family run inn. The decor is past its prime but everything was spotlessly clean with comfortable bedding and sheets. The rooms were serviced each day. Totally safe area with good parking. It was quiet, the room had a nice cold ac, tv with multiple stations, pastries, and yogurt each morning. Conveniently located to everything. Would not hesitate to stay again.

This hotel is very much a "you get what you pay for" situation. Pros: Clean, quiet, safe, with accommodating staff. Cons: I don't think anything had been updated in 50 years, including the mattresses. The keys were physical, and had an odd system or it wouldn't work. There's also an weird smell throughout the public areas, like that of a nursing home. I don't think our shower had an actual showerhead and the refrigerator took a while to get cold, which was annoying since we'd travelled some ways and had items that had to be kept cold with us. The page said there was a microwave in the room, but I didn't see it. Finally, the "continental breakfast" was a couple odd Walmart cinnamon rolls on a glass communal tray and a small coffee pot. Which considering we're in the heart of Lancaster PA was a disappointing way to start the morning.

Great location, charming hotel that feels more like you are staying at a friend's house. Very clean, country decor. Very welcoming owners. Beautiful Amish farms right adjacent to the hotel property.

Loved the people. Kim was friendly and accommodating Missed having a fan in the bathroom. Couldn't keep door closed when showering. Would have loved to have a microwave at least on the same floor and coffee in the room..

This Inn was comfortable and very clean. The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. The only issue my husband and I did have was the smell of the water as I assume it was well water and their was a strong egg like smell to the water

Quaint and cozy. If you want a hotel with all the amenities, get a hotel with all the amenities. If you want a lovely setting with friendly staff, stay here. Our room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space (closets and a dresser) and all that we needed (iron, hair dryer, snacks, fridge). The back patio is just beautiful. The facility was clean. Staff was nice. Our ONLY complaints: the funky, greasy food smell when we checked in (was gone when we returned later in the evening) and the water (strong sulfur smell). We would probably stay here again, but I don't know if I would do a multi day stay simply because of the water. It was easy enough to brush our teeth with bottled water, but I wouldn't want to shower more than once or twice there.

Sights and sound theater is what brought us to stay in the area. The hotel was highly rated so we decided it would suit us well. Upon arrival, the lady at the desk was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately the whole place smelled like a nursing home. The bedding was extremely old, pillows flat and mattress was hard as a rock and noisy. In shoet everything was very dated. We found some where else to stay the following night.

Stay was amazing! We had the Creekside suite; it was so cozy! We loved the fireplace and soaking tub! we had a wonderful time and will definitely be coming back again!

As we pulled into the driveway, we could already tell the place was manicured and well taken care of. The exterior was inviting, and the interior, although simple, was clean, warm, and comforting. The front desk attendant was great, and answered some questions that we had. The room was beautiful, everything was very clean. Soaking tub was spotless, fireplace was super effective, and the bed was quite comfortable. The lighting was just what the room needed. It was warm and incandescent. The only negative was the breakfast (it’s only a tray of cookies and pastries, so why call it breakfast?). I would definitely stay there again for my next trip to Amish Country!

Our room was very comfortable, the beds were very good (although I wanted my pillow from home ) and rooms spacious. Wonderful bathtub! Recliners were welcome after a long day. These rooms were so very clean and that made me feel good! The staff were probably the friendliest I have seen in years...very welcoming and easy to talk to. As far as dining, I found the smaller "mom and pop" restaurants to have the best food and prices. We met some really friendly couples. I would love to return in the future!

Wonderful charming, quaint, comfortable hotel off the main street thru town but still very close to all the tourist attractions. Country decor was so homey. Beautiful courtyard with a view of farm fields. Owner was so very pleasant and friendly. There were even goats next door to complete the experience!

Location is older, but clean, good price, quiet Great location easy access to attractions but not in the congested area of Amish Country. We left some items behind and owner called us within an hour of our departure. He also chatted with customers at morning breakfast area.

We were attending a family wedding in nearby Leola. My wife found the Smoketown Inn on line and it was close to where we needed to be. The location gave us the opportunity to explore some spots in the area before and after the wedding. The Smoketown Inn is a good place. It compares very favorably with some of the Gasthauses and Pensiones we’ve stayed in Europe. The Inn is well kept, comfortable, and quiet. The folks that manage it are pleasant and friendly. We would definitely stay here again if visiting this area of Pennsylvania. Thank you.

The location gave us the opportunity to explore some spots in the area before and after the wedding. The Smoketown Inn is a good place. It compares very favorably with some of the Gasthauses and Pensiones we’ve stayed in Europe. The Inn is well kept, comfortable, and quiet. The folks that manage it are pleasant and friendly. We would definitely stay here again if visiting this area of Pennsylvania. Thank you.

Location is older, but clean, good price, quiet Great location easy access to attractions but not in the congested area of Amish Country. We left some items behind and owner called us within an hour of our departure. He also chatted with customers at morning breakfast area.

Quiet, friendly staff, lovely rooms, beautiful grounds. Convenient location, close to Sight and Sound, many good restaurants, and shopping nearby. I will definitely return next time I am in the area.

The place was clean and the decorations was like staying at your grandmas. Did love the 2 recliners in the room. Unfortunately our room was very musty smelling and even bought room fresher to help the smell. The breakfast was coffee, yogurt, and hostess cakes and muffins not much to it!! The staff was very nice and rooms were clean

the bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was not too good. For me personally it was all right because all they had was coffee and cake and that's ok with me, but if some one wanted a more variety----there was none. I totally liked the place and would go back there again. And when I do go back there(and I will) I will book a room there again.

We had a lovely time in this beautiful hotel full of character. The gardens and outdoor area are so calm and peaceful. The owners are kind and friendly, the rooms clean and the bedding beautiful. Morning breakfast just right. Thank you and God Bless. Dr. Hendrik and Sandra Venter

First of all, don’t expect the Ritz Carlton. This is a small family run inn. The decor is past its prime but everything was spotlessly clean with comfortable bedding and sheets. The rooms were serviced each day. Totally safe area with good parking. It was quiet, the room had a nice cold ac, tv with multiple stations, pastries, and yogurt each morning. Conveniently located to everything. Would not hesitate to stay again.

The Smoketown Inn was perfect for our visit to the Pennsylvania Amish community. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. The gas fireplace in our room was cozy. The main reason for not giving a 5-star rating was that the continental breakfast was not particularly good and only one pod of regular coffee was provided in our room. I would have like to have 3-4 coffee pods (not decaf). The garden in the back is lovely. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy so we weren't able to sit outside to enjoy it.

This hotel is very much a "you get what you pay for" situation. Pros: Clean, quiet, safe, with accommodating staff. Cons: I don't think anything had been updated in 50 years, including the mattresses. The keys were physical, and had an odd system or it wouldn't work. There's also an weird smell throughout the public areas, like that of a nursing home. I don't think our shower had an actual showerhead and the refrigerator took a while to get cold, which was annoying since we'd travelled some ways and had items that had to be kept cold with us. The page said there was a microwave in the room, but I didn't see it. Finally, the "continental breakfast" was a couple odd Walmart cinnamon rolls on a glass communal tray and a small coffee pot. Which considering we're in the heart of Lancaster PA was a disappointing way to start the morning.

Lovely grounds and staff. Rooms are clean and peaceful. Nice complimentary breakfast. Old world charm. Definitely recommend for couples, not for families with small children. Will stay there again.

Smoketown in is a quaint little privately owned hotel that borders on bed-and-breakfast style. Get a real key to lock your door and your host is there and engages you in conversation when they see you. The rooms are old-fashioned with floral bedspreads, outdated bathroom fixtures, but everything was clean, well maintained and comfortable. (Great water pressure!) There is a refrigerator in your room and a community microwave in the breakfast area. There are no coffee makers in your room but starting at 7:30 in the morning there is coffee served along with some small pastries and yogurt in the breakfast area. There is a nice living room area where you can relax, play games or just enjoy some quiet time plus beautiful outdoor seating areas with wrought-iron tables in the gardens. It is not on the main road, but super close just minutes from all the popular tourist areas. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The property was lively and inviting. Kim walked me to our room which was the Creekview Suite. The room was beautiful.there was a slight musty smell upon entering. When we went to climb into bed, i noticed a smell as though the sheets had been left in the washer too long. When we went to take showers the next morning, the water in both the tub and separate shower was not even lukewarm I reported both as we left for the day. Upon our return, it appeared the sheets had been rewashed; however, there was still a slight odor to them. Also we had hot water.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Smoketown Inn. The staff were wonderful, very nice and accommodating. Our room, while not the most up to date was tastefully decorated and was very neat and clean. Our favorite part of the trip was returning to the hotel after a tiring day at a mud sale. We enjoyed sitting on the back patio which overview a farm. We would sit and watch the fireflies flying around the field. It was so quiet and relaxing
