Exceptional communication by the host, beautiful room with so many little touches making it like a home from home. Catherine treated us like friends and nothing was too much trouble. The location was so quiet and easy to access with our own parking space. Breakfast was plentiful with quality products cooked to perfection. We will definitely return.

Catherine is a wonderful hostess, the place is clean and comfortable and beautifully presented. The farm is in the middle of nowhere but within short distances to villages with pubs or the park and ride to take you to York. The room had everything we needed and it was spacious, the bed was comfortable, tea and coffee provided with fresh milk available in the kitchenette. Breakfast is cooked fresh to order and was delicious, nothing was too much trouble. One of my favourite B&B’s ever, I can’t recommend it enough!

Was warmly greeted upon arrival, the room was a very generous size and immaculately clean. Beautiful rural setting and wonderfully quiet. Only a short drive to the neighbouring village for dinner. Would happily stay again.

We truly had a wonderful stay at this property. The host was more than willing to do anything for us. Initially we could not find the property, but Kathryn came out to the Little Village, where we had stopped and brought us to the property. The room was fantastic. The room was absolutely beautiful the bed was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and breakfast the next morning was absolutely smashing. We will definitely stay again, and we highly recommend this lodging to anyone else.

Had a fantastic stay at Haggs Farm, Catherine was very friendly and even introduced us to the animal residents which was fun. The room was very clean, cosy and perfect for an overnight stay. The breakfast was great too. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic one-night stay at Colton Haggs and couldn't fault the standard, cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation. The location is great too - very quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive away from the York Park & Ride and the Outlet Village. Catherine is a wonderful host and her cooked breakfast was delicious! Would love to stay again if back in the area.

The room was much better than we might have expected based on the Hotel.com listing. The B&B is an extension to the main farmhouse and situated in a delightful inner courtyard. Both the room and en-suite were very clean and spacious (including full size bath) with a new and fresh décor but retaining the original beams in the ceiling. The location was perfect for our weekend family wedding event in a nearby village. Catherine the host was delightfully engaging and nothing was too much trouble. We would have no hesitation in recommending Coltan Haggs B&B and would certainly stay there again. We are still enjoying the freshly laid eggs we brought home with us.

Excellent communication from owner Catherine when I enquired about leaving the car there before check in time as we were attending York Races.Catherine arranged early check in and advised on taxis to the Races. The whole B&B is very tastefully decorated with very high quality everywhere beds are an absolute dream! Breakfast is outstanding freshly cooked beautifully presented and top quality! This is a working farm with calves loving life and Betty the cat ruling the roost - this place has to be seen to be believed. Catherine is an amazing host and this place is a total credit to her - I’ve stayed at many great B&B’s but if Heineken did B&B’s this would be it !

Our stay was perfect for visiting York. Just a short drive to the nearest Park and Ride. The B&B was excellent with a beautiful room, super comfy bed and bed linen and in such a peaceful rural location. We had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Catherine, our host was really lovely and welcoming and cooked us a fabulous breakfast. We would highly recommend this to our friends and will definitely be back!

Stayed here 17th Dec for one night and wished it was for much longer. This hidden gem of a B&B is without doubt the best we have stayed in, from the friendliest of arrival welcomes to the scrumptious " Bonus" cooked breakfast which we were expecting to be continental. This property has been superbly finished with everything that you could want, the bedrooms are both a great size, Bedroom 1 has a very large walk in shower and Bed 2 has a bath with shower. The location although outside the city centre is perfect for those interested in local walks and is only a few miles to the nearest Park & Ride for a stress free visit into York. If considering this property I would highly recommend booking early to avoid disappointment. Cannot wait to re-visit York and stay at this wonderful B&B again. As soon as we arrived, our host, Catherine came out to greet us and show us to our lovely room. The room, which overlooked the farm yard was very spacious with a really comfortable bed and a clean, modern en-suite. Catherine met us downstairs for breakfast. The breakfast was first class with fresh food cooked to perfection. We would highly recommend this B&B. This lovely farm is in the countryside and a car is needed to get around.
As soon as we arrived, our host, Catherine came out to greet us and show us to our lovely room. The room, which overlooked the farm yard was very spacious with a really comfortable bed and a clean, modern en-suite. Catherine met us downstairs for breakfast. A wonderful night in a beautiful room. We were able to check in early after speaking with the host, came home late after a wedding with no trouble and they could t have been more accommodating. We had a delicious breakfast cooked in the morning too. Thank you!

Catherine, the owner, was the perfect hostess with nothing being too much trouble. She even texted to make sure everything was OK and to ensure she was about when I arrived. The room was clean and well provisioned. Breakfast was a full English and cooked fresh. There was also a selection of cereals and fruits. The village is about a mile away and has a convenience store, pub and Indian restaurant.

We traveled for two weeks around the UK and this was one of the best stays. The owner bent over backwards to make sure we were comfortable. The room was spotless and very nicely appointed. The home cooked breakfast to order was excellent. As I said, one of our favorites.

As Americans traveling in the UK for the first time, staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. Catherine greeted us like old friends, phoned ahead to secure us a dinner reservation at the excellent local pub after hours, and prepared us a spectacular breakfast. I can’t imagine a friendlier or more comfortable place to stay.
As Americans traveling in the UK for the first time, staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. Exceptional communication by the host, beautiful room with so many little touches making it like a home from home. Catherine treated us like friends and nothing was too much trouble. The location was so quiet and easy to access with our own parking space. Breakfast was plentiful with quality products cooked to perfection. We will definitely return.

Catherine is a wonderful hostess, the place is clean and comfortable and beautifully presented. The farm is in the middle of nowhere but within short distances to villages with pubs or the park and ride to take you to York. The room had everything we needed and it was spacious, the bed was comfortable, tea and coffee provided with fresh milk available in the kitchenette. Breakfast is cooked fresh to order and was delicious, nothing was too much trouble. One of my favourite B&B’s ever, I can’t recommend it enough!

We had a fantastic one-night stay at Colton Haggs and couldn't fault the standard, cleanliness and comfort of the accommodation. The location is great too - very quiet and peaceful, yet only a short drive away from the York Park & Ride and the Outlet Village. Catherine is a wonderful host and her cooked breakfast was delicious! Would love to stay again if back in the area.

We popped to York for some Christmas shopping and to have a look around the Christmas market. We stayed here as it was in a good location for us to get into York. The place is less then 10 minutes away from the Askham Bar pack and ride. We stayed in room 2 as there was 3 of us and the place was amazing. Everything was clean and tidy the room was fantastic as you can see in the photos. Catherine was so welcoming and helpful. I think we have found our new favourite place to stay when visiting friends in York from now on. Thanks Catherine for all your help while we were with you.
We popped to York for some Christmas shopping and to have a look around the Christmas market. We stayed here as it was in a good location for us to get into York. Our stay was perfect for visiting York. Just a short drive to the nearest Park and Ride. The B&B was excellent with a beautiful room, super comfy bed and bed linen and in such a peaceful rural location. We had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Catherine, our host was really lovely and welcoming and cooked us a fabulous breakfast. We would highly recommend this to our friends and will definitely be back!

As soon as we arrived, our host, Catherine came out to greet us and show us to our lovely room. The room, which overlooked the farm yard was very spacious with a really comfortable bed and a clean, modern en-suite. Catherine met us downstairs for breakfast. The breakfast was first class with fresh food cooked to perfection. We would highly recommend this B&B. This lovely farm is in the countryside and a car is needed to get around.

A wonderful night in a beautiful room. We were able to check in early after speaking with the host, came home late after a wedding with no trouble and they could t have been more accommodating. We had a delicious breakfast cooked in the morning too. Thank you!

Had a fantastic stay at Haggs Farm, Catherine was very friendly and even introduced us to the animal residents which was fun. The room was very clean, cosy and perfect for an overnight stay. The breakfast was great too. Highly recommended.

I loved my stay at Colton Haggs Farm B B, the setting is beautiful and peaceful. I was greeted by the host with a very warm welcome and shown around. The room was immaculate with lovely decor. Both the room and bathroom were a great size and I felt very comfortable and relaxed; it made for a great nights sleep! The host recommended a lovely local pub for my evening meal. The host very kindly accommodated my need for a slightly earlier breakfast and I was greeted in the morning with a lovely spread including berries, yoghurts and pastries. I had opted for a continental style breakfast but I had been offered a cooked breakfast option. As I travel for business finding gems like this makes being away from home so much nicer (and enjoyable!) All in all I could not fault my stay here and my only regret was having to leave for work! If you get the chance….stay here!

Where to start with this wonderful B&B? Excellent communication from owner Catherine when I enquired about leaving the car there before check in time as we were attending York Races.Catherine arranged early check in and advised on taxis to the Races. The whole B&B is very tastefully decorated with very high quality everywhere beds are an absolute dream! Breakfast is outstanding freshly cooked beautifully presented and top quality! This is a working farm with calves loving life and Betty the cat ruling the roost - this place has to be seen to be believed. Catherine is an amazing host and this place is a total credit to her - I’ve stayed at many great B&B’s but if Heineken did B&B’s this would be it !

Truly one of the best B&Bs, right from the wonderful welcome to the time we left. It was like being welcomed by an old friend. Catherine is so lovely and friendly. Catherine was an amazing host with great communication prior to our visit, friendly and also being extremely accommodating in allowing us to check in earlier etc so we could change prior to attending a wedding locally. The room had everything you could wish for and the breakfast was brilliant. We only wish we could have spent more time there! We would definitely stay again and also recommend to others.

The room was amazing and very clean. Catherine welcomed us at the door. We had the best nights sleep ever and woke up feeling refreshed and enjoyed the best breakfast we have had in a long while. After breaking Catherine took us around to see some of the animals they have. I would rate this a 20/10 and would highly recommend staying here. We will be back again next year.
