Great location with lovely views over the harbour. Full of character. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Our room was in the Annex on the back, but it was very comfortable with a huge queen size bed. The bathroom was ok with a modest cubicle shower, but larger people may struggle with the size. We were lucky to arrive mid day and parked at the hotel. There are limited spaces and you may need to park elsewhere and pay. In high season this could be difficult and Seahouses is small and gets packed. The bar menu was good, but restricted and what we did eat was very tasty. Breakfast was more than adequate with a good selection, but the food a bit hit and miss for freshness. You can however, order options from the menu. The hotel is a great base for the walk to Bamburgh Castle (3 miles along the beach or along the coast path if the tide turns). The walk to the boats for the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne takes two minutes. A very popular hotel and bar for dog walkers, of which there were many! Would we stay again? Yes!

We landed on a busy weekend so parking was tight, Staff were nice and polite, Breakfast was great, The room I didn’t think was worth the money, we chose a better room with sea view and balcony, Which I didn’t think was worth nearly £300 a night .. expected more, no windows just french doors that we had to leave open all night as the room was baking hot and was no air, plumbing in our part of the hotel was very noisy when others were using and kept us awake, pipes banging, sounded like drilling at times Would I stay here again No, I think the rooms are worth £120 a night at best

Our room was clean but the room was very dark with just a small window at one end overlooking a yard. Staff were all very helpful & breakfast was good. We didn’t feel there was a lot of choice on menu for evening meal

The position of the hotel is super and we took advantage of the nearness to the harbour by taking 2 trips out round the the farce islands and visited holy island by boat too The staff were very helpful and the parking facilities were limited but we were lucky to find a space and the car stayed put for the 3 days we were there The breakfast was excellent with good choice of hot or cold and gave you a good start to the day and the evening meals were varied and good quality Fortunately the weather was also excellent and we really did enjoy our trip to the north east
