first the staff was awesome. the young man that checked us in was over the top helpful. property itself is listed as a five star hotel, not even close. we actually switch rooms, first room was in horrible condition and the second room was not much better. to start the worst of both rooms was the nasty dead carpet. the strict control of the air conditioning is ridiculous. Positive stuff, staff amazing, lobby bar open all day and theFREE breakfast spread was delicious.

Great location, clean rooms, and really friendly and helpful staff with impeccable English, even if they don't believe you when you tell them! 24 hour service which is always reassuring, lovely toiletries in the bathrooms, big shower, free water in the fridge for you on arrival, and a free drink in the bar downstairs with your stay. Couldn't ask for much more.

Nice, comfortable hotel with a very gracias, helpful staff. Food was good, rooms were clean, showers larger than expected in Europe, prices reasonable. Could use a better stocked bar is all.

Great location and our room was nicely upgraded. Probably the best hot shower experience a hotel can provide! The staff was polite and accommodating and a 24 hour bar makes a last minute nightcap possible. Good value and very cose to the main shopping district.

I recently stayed at this hotel for six nights in a single room and had a mixed experience. The Good: The location is fantastic—close to everything, with easy access to two elevators, so no need to walk up hills. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the stay more pleasant. The breakfast selection was good, with delicious fresh fruit and a fantastic variety of warm food, bread, cold cuts, and homemade cakes available each morning. The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the room left a lot to be desired. It was extremely small (17 sqm according to Expedia), but it felt even smaller since the bathroom took up more than a third of the space. The wardrobe was so tiny that hangers had to be placed sideways to fit. There were no hooks to hang a coat outside of the bathroom, where the wallpaper was peeling. One morning, I even found a cockroach in the bathtub. The room was constantly humid, making it impossible for anything to dry properly. Additionally, the safe wasn’t working when I checked in, though they did replace it. The bathroom had its own issues—only one dim light, a vanity mirror that was barely hanging on, and rusted tiles due to a rusted toilet paper holder. Other Annoyances: Breakfast was enjoyable, but I noticed dirty plates mixed in with the supposedly clean ones multiple times. When I pointed this out to the staff, they reacted strangely. Also, the door to the breakfast room was locked twice when I took the stairs, even during breakfast hours, forcing me to g

There was a mini fridge in the room which did not feel very cold and the phone didn’t work although it was plugged. The floors from the rooms above also creak a lot which kept me up along with being too hot to sleep. Overall not a bad property, it’s close to everything and the staff is helpful, just a little expensive for what you get in my opinion.

The location of this property is good. The staff was lovely and breakfast good. But the carpets in hall and in room were disgusting! The shower was dangerous to get in and out and bathroom sink very small. Would not recommend.

Dilapidated. There were so many things in our room that desperately needed attention. It felt icky. We couldn’t turn on the shower, use the phone to call the front desk or use the thermostat. There were bugs flying out of the drain. The courtyard we faced was disgusting looking. There was hardly any toilet paper and they gave us 4 tissues. The lighting in the room and the bathroom was so dim that we had to bring a bedroom lamp into the bathroom to do our makeup. The cleaning people were sweet and smiley.

Service was great, but the cleanliness and condition of the room left much to be desired. Carpet was heavily stained, so much so that I asked for it to be cleaned in a certain area (which I have NEVER done before). They were very apologetic and immediately took care of it, but a few large stains remained. Wallpaper was also peeling off in the bathroom.

arrived at the hotel and checked in no drama. the room smelled HEAVILY of perfume (all over the linens and thick in the air). this would not have been a deal breaker, just unpleasant except there were also dead bugs ALL over the room including on the bed. when we called the front desk, someone came up and felt terrible, claiming that the bugs must have come in through the air vent. gross. ended up requesting a refund and stayed elsewhere.

The room was super small, the shower had mold on the floor, the bathroom smelled horrible and the iron is tiny. Oh forget it if you are in the second floor, people walking hard in the morning and at night. The only good thing is the AC.

Hotel de bon confort, idéalement situé. Petit déjeuner de bonne facture sous forme de buffet. Gros problème d'isolation phonique entre les étages. Chaque matin, nous avons été réveillés vers 6h00 par des pas provenant de l'étage supérieur, provoquant de forts grincements de plancher et se transmettant au plafond de notre chambre n 202. Expérience matinale très désagréable.

Great location! Room was good enough to sleep in and shower. Sofa bed was not very comfortable. There was construction noise but in the daytime.

Decent sized room. Bathroom spacious. Air conditioning didn’t work properly so was hot at night. Location good for where we wanted to be.

Kan varmt anbefale Casual Belle Epoque i Lissabon. Virkelig sødt og hjælpsom personale, super beliggenhed og rigtigt gode og store senge med gode dyner. Dejligt badeværelse. Vi havde værelse mod gården. Her var fuldstændigt stille om natten. Hørte heller ikke gæsterne på de andre værelser. Eneste minus: Skufferne på værelset havde set bedre dage.

Had a nice breakfast with breads, buns, croissants, various sliced cheeses, cold cuts, vegetables, yogurt, juice, coffee and hot foods scrambled eggs, bacon, vegetable frittata. Had to leave for an early flight and they were nice enough to get a lot of the breakfast items out before their 7 am opening. Front desk clerk provided a map with details of getting to the nearby lifts to make the walking a little easier. He arranged a taxi to the airport for us and it was a very reasonable price compared to what we paid coming to the hotel. Were greeted on our way out to the airport by the hotel manager who asked about our stay.

Ideal location in oldtown and friendly staff with 24h service. The room was quite small, but wasn‘t missing anything except for some more jacks (had to always switch between bedside lamps and mobile charger). We didn‘t like the deep carpet which wasn‘t perfectly clean. In conclusion this is a good location for a few nights, if you want to explore the town, go out late etc. and do not stay too long in the room.

The property condition was excellent. It looks like it was just updated. Everything looked new. The buffet breakfast was very nice. What I didn't like... we arrived at 1:45 PM, but couldn't get into a room that was supposed to be ready by 2 PM. Then they didn’t put our luggage in the locked luggage closet. When we came back after 2 hours of sight seeing our luggage was still sitting out wheee anyone passingby couldget into it. And this is just my personality, but I hare silly joking from the front desk. "The city room tax is 20 Euros per peeson per night." When I pulled out my credit card... "ha ha ha, it's just 2 Euros each" so, great facility, but some annoying service or lack of service.

Friendly and very helpful from the time we checked in. The night manager was the highlight very very helpful went above and beyond to get our daughter something late. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

The staff were extremely accommodating. It was a last minute booking and we were helped out greatly. The accommodation was of a very good standard and the location was excellent to access the main sites in Lisbon.

Had to leave for an early flight and they were nice enough to get a lot of the breakfast items out before their 7 am opening. Front desk clerk provided a map with details of getting to the nearby lifts to make the walking a little easier. He arranged a taxi to the airport for us and it was a very reasonable price compared to what we paid coming to the hotel. Were greeted on our way out to the airport by the hotel manager who asked about our stay.

I had a great stay over three nights, everything was more or less perfect. Very friendly and helpful guy(s) in the reception, great air condition in the room, and the hotel is nicely situated with short distances to “everything” - will definitely come back!

La estancia super agradable todo no hubiera sido asi si no nos encontramos con un recepcionista como Carlos, especialmente cariñoso con nosotros y con los niños, ayudo en todo lo que estaba en su mano, el hotel bastante bien por su situación y por poner un pero las vistas de las habitaciones no son tan agradables como desearia. pero en general todo genial, Gracias de nuevo Carlos por facilitarnos la estancia.

Love this hotel , had good breakfast and nice rooms , it is close to everything would come again. Love the service from Cyril, Facu and Carlos however the night front person never really help us had always a negative answer to us . We asked if we could leave our luggage since we were coming back 3 days later and he said no . Thanks God Carlos was walking in and he said yes then on the last day we asked if we could do late check out and he said no. We the asked Fácil and he allowed us to stay until 1 pm that is all we need it . Over all everyone else was fantastic even the general manager .

Book it already! This is a great hotel within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and perfect for sightseeing. It also has the softest bed and pillows you’ll find in Lisbon. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Yes, it’s located at the top of hill but Lisbon is very hilly. Tip: Take the Elevador do Castelo on Rua dos Franqueiros, it’s free and it’ll save you from having to walk uphill

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casual Belle Epoque. Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was quiet and clean and we were close to Castello da Jorge, the lifts, the central square for the hop on & off buses. Beautiful hotel!

Great location in old Lisbon. Very modern rooms, excellent breakfast. Reception man was very friendly and spoke great English, a bonus for english speaking guests.

Great place, fresh rooms however the wallpaper in the bathroom could have gotten some glue. The staff at breakfast felt stressed and was always picking with something other than restocking the food, unless asked for. Not all food and beverages was labeled correctly (which could have become a literal mess for my traveling partner if he picked the wrong) and when asking about correcting the labels, they seemed too stressed to even bother listening to my question. Otherwise the staff at reception was very friendly and helpful.

The location of this hotel is absolutely amazing - especially if this is your first time in Lisbon. The staff are friendly and the breakfast option generous (particularly if you have children!) We throughly enjoyed our time. Thank you.

Excellent location. Brilliant and attentive staff, couldn't do enough for you. Hotel in some need of refurbishment. Only did breakfast, which wasn't great, cooked food cold and not a lot of choice. All self service even coffee machine.

Hotellet ligger väldigt centralt, nära Metro och restauranger och affärer. Standarden var inte motsvarande fyra stjärnor, det fanns skavanker och brister. Vi bedömer det snarare som två stjärnor. Frukosten var dålig och bristfällig. Utbudet var inte stort och det som fanns var delvis slut. Juicerna var av multivitamin-koncentrat och utblandade med vatten. Denna gång bodde vi bara en natt och då var det okej. Vi hade varit väldigt besvikna och vi hade bokat detta hotellet för en längre vistelse. Ej prisvärt. Bättre att betala ännu lite mer för annat hotell.
