Cheap and cheerful, but dont expect anything more than a place to kip for the night. Nice bloke, but the place is falling apart.

I very much enjoyed my room: it was well-organized with a great shower and an electric kettle (important for me). The building is historic so there is no elevator so if you need special accommodations - call ahead. The area around the inn is lovely: lots of lovely places to eat and a great pub right next door!

It is a little tired but very clean, there are no ammenities within the room but you are on the door step of Hedington shops. Great for a stay that you only sleep in the hotel and go out for everything else.

For the price it was superb, parking, comfy bed and pillows, very clean , TV, wifi...shower great.... highly recommended

The hotel is above an Indian restaurant and shares the same entrance. Very limited staff availability on reception. The property was closed when I first arrived at 9:15 in the morning and there was nobody on reception when I came to check in at 16:00 in the afternoon. There was no air conditioning in the family room I stayed in. The mattress was very uncomfortable, it felt very old and in need of a replacement. Very basic and dated facilities that are shockingly over priced.

Basic accommodation. Small room. I was expecting something more. Strange odour (like chlorinated swimming pool) on first entering room. Adjoining curry restaurant appears to be part of same business. Small parking area through narrow archway. On the plus side, the Headington Shark was visible from my room.

This hotel was excellent for access to John Radcliffe hospital and there were plenty of places to buy food in the evening. The owner was very welcoming and most kindly let us leave car in the parking area until we went home about 2.30 pm. Less good: the room was at the front on London Road and therefore noisy so I had to shut the window. I had booked for 2 adults but there was only one set of towels. Just a mistake we think and for one night we managed. Coffee/tea making facilities very good but really needed water glasses. Nothing major, so overall very satisfactory for what we needed and good price.

Overall, the property was just OK. Beyond losing power for a couple of days, and then never cleaning until we ask them to clean the room. But what really gets me was my wife and I came home with bedbug bites over our entire bodies. 😡😡😡

I would never recommend anyone to stay there , hallway and room full of disgusting smell from old carpet and dirty curtains . Smelly towels as well Very disappointed

Carpet needs cleaning desperately. Smelt unpleasant. Otherwise most convenient place for tourist. Bus stops just outside, with coffee places and restaurants all around you.

We only needed the hotel for the night as we were on a stag do. The room was ideal for what we needed. The place did seem a little untidy and unclean. The owner was really nice and went above and beyond for us during our stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE, INFESTED WITH BED BUGS! Upon arrival, it took 25 mins of loudly calling out until someone arrived at the front desk. I told them I had been calling for 25 mins, to which they told me they were just there a couple minutes ago. Whatever, I let it slide. I go to the room, it’s ok, seems a little dirty with crumbs on the floor. The first night was fine, however I woke up halfway through my second (of 4) nights very itchy and discovered my face, neck, arms and legs covered in bed bug bites! I seemed to have an allergic reaction too and was very swollen/puffy, not great since I was in town for a couple of presentations and meetings. I attempted to upload photos of the bites but hotels.com does not allow this. Even though I had two nights remaining on the reservation, I left. No one was at the desk when I left, so I returned that afternoon to voice my displeasure with the situation. Again I had to call out for about 10 mins before anyone showed up. The manager was apologetic and acknowledged knowing about their bed bug problem (why this wasn’t disclosed beforehand I do not know!). They explained I had to contact hotels.com to have them contact the hotel for a cancellation of the last 2 nights and a reimbursement for the previous night with bed bugs. Hotels.com has attempted to contact them over the last 6 days without the hotel answering/responding to them. Very unprofessional and unpleasant.

Clean and comfortable. Polite reception.

Room needed some maintenance. Toilet didn’t flush and window somehow not attached to frame. Cleanliness was adequate.

We were made to feal very welcome, room was excellent value for money very clean and very quite.

I stayed in a small room with a single bed and it was very nice. The ensuite bathroom was fabulous. It was almost as big again as half the room, with a fullsize bath (and shower of course.) Also a good TV with lots of channels. Tons of stores and food very close.

I stayed here for two nights while my wife was in John Radcliffe hospital , the room was ok . In my bathroom there was no plug for bath and shower wasn’t the best ,on your website it said rooms were all soundproof this was the case as i could hear people snoring in other rooms.

Quite dated hotel with lovely manager . Sup comfortable bed and smashing shower . Walk all day in Oxford . Walk home to hotel . Plenty of dining and beverage options . We had a great comfortable stay

It was good for us as a stop off staying on a weekend but I think it would be noisy with early morning traffic in the week

The room and bed were clean if a little outdated, Host was friendly and the amenities were stocked well.but I didn't sleep well as the bed was uncomfortable and the room was too warm. Had to keep the window open to get some sort draught of wind into the room but that meant we had to put up with the traffic noise from the main road outside.

Lovely stay again. You always feel welcome here. Clean rooms with tea and coffee facilities. Helpful staff that go that little extra way to make sure you have a wonderful stay.

It was a comfortable stay. Check in was bit difficult as the numbers on the locker were very difficult to see in the darkness dsspite the torchlight from the phone. Had to try multiple timed

it was very convenient for the hospital and shopping

Ideal location for JRH hospital. Proprietor phoned us en route and gave us directions to the property. He was waiting outside to greet us and guide us to car park. Our room was clean and comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep.

It is a little tired but very clean, there are no ammenities within the room but you are on the door step of Hedington shops. Great for a stay that you only sleep in the hotel and go out for everything else.

Easy, friendly check in, room as described and warm. Close to lots of shops, pubs and restraunts. Easy to get to Oxford center from. Can't really go wrong.

The accommodation was overly charged it was not worth £108 no breakfast either. It was in poor condition.
