Overall we liked the hotel - the room was spacious and the amenities in the hotel were first rate, especially the pool. Our only complaints were that there was not an ironing board in the room - a rarity in the States, and that the hotel is virtually taken over by non-guests at night. The Lobby turns into a very crowded club and the basement "speakeasy" had a line to get into it at 9pm. No special accomodations were made for guests of the hotel, like a VIP line to get into the speakeasy. The affect was feeling like we paid good money to be a guest and found ourselves on the wrong side of the "velvet rope."

Nice property overall. Great pool albeit smallish. Great location The bad was really bad as only 1 elevator was working and we consistently waited 3-5 minutes for an elevator. One time so full we couldn’t even got on. Actually had an Uber cancel on us because we ordered it before leaving our room?

The location is wonderfully situated . Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The hotel has only two elevators and during peak hours it may take some time to get to the room.

My husband and I had planned our trip to chicago months ago with our now 8 month old daughter. The plan was to fly up from kansas city to specifically use the rooftop pool at the hotel and enjoy a vacation where we relax in a nice hotel. The trip turned south when we arrive and the front desk told us the pool was closed for the entire weekend due to an issue with another guest, and that they needed to spend the weekend cleaning the pool. I understand things happen, but we made it clear that we came up from Kansas City just to use the pool. The hotel gave us a $150 credit to use at the hotel AFTER I had complained. I didn't feel that the $150 covered any sort of distress I felt from flying my family up to Chicago for a trip where the one amenity was unusable. That $150 did not get us far at the restaurants with the inflated prices of the hotel, which I understand.. My issue is that I didn't feel valued as a guest enough to come to an agreement of compensation that I thought covered what we paid to be at The Hotel. The staff was kind, but we felt like the staff kept saying nothing could be done when I felt so much more could have been done to salvage our trip.

The pool hours are a bit of a deal breaker. The pool closes at 4pm because they don’t want to offend their dining guests. So no relaxing swim after a day of site seeing in the heat unless you cut things short and rush back. This hotel needs to decide if it is a hotel or a dining and nightclub (a LOUD one..) destination. The staff was generally nice, but this will not be a repeat experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Hoxton Chicago. The location is ideal for seeing the city, as it's near to a L Station and walkable for the city centre. There is lots to do in the area right around the hotel, lots of amazing places to eat and explore. My room was absolutely perfect and I think I got an upgrade when I checked in!! I am very grateful to the team for that. My room did face the train tracks but I wouldn't say the noise was a problem at all. The city view was beautiful. I would say that the shower cubicle was very large, slightly at the expense of more space in the bathroom, but it didn't bother me. The onsite bakery is such a fun touch! Definitely exactly what a tired tourist needs! I didn't make down to the cocktail bar but I had dinner one evening at the lobby restaurant. I really enjoyed that! The service was quick and the food was great. I liked the breakfast bags too! Very helpful. I only had a slight issue with the arrangements for housekeeping, as I had requested a tidy halfway through my stay, in line with their policy, but it didn't end up being done. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel! I hope to stay again and will definitely be checking out other Hoxton hotels when I'm travelling.

Kind of like the laziest and most minimal service with a tiny space for a premium price. The servers in the restaurant Cira were almost rude, and support staff looked miserable. The rooftop pool is tiny, and has barely a dozen spots to sit. The hotel doesn't tell you that at night it turns into a nightclub! Good luck getting to your elevator, and then plan on waiting. Don't even try getting a drink at the bar. There must have been 200 people in the lobby. The only positive feedback is that the sound from the party doesn't travel to the 6th floor.

All was good.. there were dust bunnies in teh floor in the room, and the room showed some wear and tear. The mini bar/small fridge had NOTHING .. some water and some strange soy milk... that was nonsense. The crazy bar scene in the lobby bar was difficult to hanlde... expecially the rowdy girls who didn't have IFD pices and demanded to be served... thatg was Thuersasdy June 12th

This is maybe my fifth time staying at this Hoxton property. I like it for its central location and that there are property amenities like a pool and restaurants we can enjoy. However, the rooms have seen better days. They felt a bit run down this time around. Our room was also quite dirty when we checked in and they moved us to a cleaner room but even that one left something to be desired. There are few amenities in room and the rooms are small. But if you go in expecting the basics then you'll be happy.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff was great and the hotel was a lot of fun. For a seemingly newer build, rooms were outdated and lacked usb outlets and and a suitable desk to use as a workspace.

Save your money and just go sleep in a train station. That’s what you get staying here. It’s immediately next to an elevated subway line that runs all night long and the trains are literally feet from the rooms. I literally got no sleep. Would never stay here again.

Awesome staff at check in - really kind and helpful. The rooms are well done but a little small. We stowed our luggage under the bed since there wasn’t room for our large bags and they were covered in dust and muck when we pulled them out. Our sink drain didn’t work and the shower door leaked water all over - not end of world. The fitness room is new and well done but very very small. It was full with 5 people and had to go back later when there were only 3 folks. Location is fantastic and other amenities are great - main floor bar staff is very nice but can get slammed due to their popularity so just plan time accordingly if you’re stopping for a quick drink.

Staff was amazing! Building is very nice inside and out. Highly recommend the Lazy Bird downstairs. Shout out to Jamal at the front desk as well as Toni from security.

We planned a last minute staycation to celebrate our courthouse marriage and couldn't have asked for better service. We wrapped things up at the courthouse much earlier than we had anticipated, called The Hoxton to see if we could check-in early and to our amaze, they allowed us to! Not only did they allow us to arrive early, but they also heard that we had gotten hitched and upgraded us to a corner room. I'm sorry, what?! What an awesome surprise. The room was super clean, lush towels, and a beautiful bathroom! The staff was great and the location is awesome. We were right by Girl & The Goat which is where we had our dinner reservation. The only thing I will say - I wish you had robes! That bathroom is far too nice to not have a robe to relax in. Thank you all for making our weekend so special.

We wrapped things up at the courthouse much earlier than we had anticipated, called The Hoxton to see if we could check-in early and to our amaze, they allowed us to! Not only did they allow us to arrive early, but they also heard that we had gotten hitched and upgraded us to a corner room. I'm sorry, what?! What an awesome surprise. The room was super clean, lush towels, and a beautiful bathroom! The staff was great and the location is awesome. We were right by Girl & The Goat which is where we had our dinner reservation. The only thing I will say - I wish you had robes! That bathroom is far too nice to not have a robe to relax in. Thank you all for making our weekend so special.

The service was incredible. The best hotel/stay in the Fulton District. They stock the fridge with free water and milk for your tea and coffee. And we booked the “Cosy” room. And it was indeed cosy with a great view! 10/10 would do it again. And will!

I booked my stay on Expedia a day prior to stay. When I get there. The lady wearing a mask said I have no reservation. She did not even check my ID. Then i gave her my id and Expedia confirmation code and she said there is no room. I asked for manager and she said she is the manager. Then I called Expedia and they called and some other manager came and got me and wife checked in. I would not recommend this place for rude staff.

We had no working utilities in the room such as hair dryer and flat iron or steamer. When they were brought to us, they were broken. The property doesn’t offer any in room items like a shower cap. We didn’t have toilet paper one day and asked for some and none arrived both with house keeping or from the front desk for over 2 hours of asking, more than once. The property cares more about being trendy and their bar area than the actual hotel rooms itself. We’ve had similar problems on a previous stay. Twice now, we will not be staying here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Hoxton Chicago. The location is ideal for seeing the city, as it's near to a L Station and walkable for the city centre. There is lots to do in the area right around the hotel, lots of amazing places to eat and explore. My room was absolutely perfect and I think I got an upgrade when I checked in!! I am very grateful to the team for that. My room did face the train tracks but I wouldn't say the noise was a problem at all. The city view was beautiful. I would say that the shower cubicle was very large, slightly at the expense of more space in the bathroom, but it didn't bother me. The onsite bakery is such a fun touch! Definitely exactly what a tired tourist needs! I didn't make down to the cocktail bar but I had dinner one evening at the lobby restaurant. I really enjoyed that! The service was quick and the food was great. I liked the breakfast bags too! Very helpful. I only had a slight issue with the arrangements for housekeeping, as I had requested a tidy halfway through my stay, in line with their policy, but it didn't end up being done. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel! I hope to stay again and will definitely be checking out other Hoxton hotels when I'm travelling.

The Hoxton is located in the heart of Fulton Market, literally in the best spot in Chicago. The hotel is surrounded by some of the best restaurants in the country! The staff is great and the lobby bar/restaurant is fantastic! Highly recommend.

The location is perfect! Rooms are a little small, especially the bathroom. Hallway walls a little thin, but outside walls very sound proof. Had a train outside our window and could hardly hear it. Beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly.

Rooms were nicely appointed somewhat snug, with large, classy bathroom. Lobby was comfortable with excellent dining options. Neighborhood is the coolest in the city with lots of fun boutiques, great restaurants of every price range, and popular bars and lounges.

Overall we liked the hotel - the room was spacious and the amenities in the hotel were first rate, especially the pool. Our only complaints were that there was not an ironing board in the room - a rarity in the States, and that the hotel is virtually taken over by non-guests at night. The Lobby turns into a very crowded club and the basement "speakeasy" had a line to get into it at 9pm. No special accomodations were made for guests of the hotel, like a VIP line to get into the speakeasy. The affect was feeling like we paid good money to be a guest and found ourselves on the wrong side of the "velvet rope."

Nice stay at a perfectly located hotel. Really enjoyed the neighborhood, great restaurants and the service inside the hotel was great. Room was small and the bathroom was hot because of no ventilation or a/c in the bathroom. Had to prop the door open with a drawer because it kept shutting on its own and it was hot in there. Room was comfortable but a/c was loud. The rooftop pool is nice but frustrating. Should have beach chairs and umbrellas around the whole perimeter so more people can enjoy. Couldn’t get into the restaurant on top at night because it was so crowded. Felt wrong that hotel guests were turned away but happened twice. Definitely a “hot spot” in the city so go early if you want to be part of the scene. Breakfast downstairs was yummy and valet was great. Kind of like the laziest and most minimal service with a tiny space for a premium price. The servers in the restaurant Cira were almost rude, and support staff looked miserable. The rooftop pool is tiny, and has barely a dozen spots to sit. The hotel doesn't tell you that at night it turns into a nightclub! Good luck getting to your elevator, and then plan on waiting. Don't even try getting a drink at the bar. There must have been 200 people in the lobby. The only positive feedback is that the sound from the party doesn't travel to the 6th floor.

Rooftop pool was a terrific hangout during the day. Small but perfect. The bar by Cira is beautiful and was hopping on a Tuesday night. Great vibe. Great options for food and drinks on site or restaurants right on that block- all sorts Of cuisines. They serve breakfast and have a little coffee Shop in the lobby too. Fantastic location. This property is IT! I traveled in for Lollapalooza, and had no idea I was in for such a treat with my hotel alone! The Hox is in the Fulton Market District which is perfect for my fellow foodies, and nightlifers. The hotel lobby features one of two restaurants on site- the bar being quite the local attraction in the evening, especially weekends! Make SURE you stop by the speakeasy in the basement for alllll the swanky vibes. It features a live band thurs-sat & has a way of stopping time. The local artwork on display throughout the hotel is quite mesmerizing, too! I highly recommend The Hoxton, could not be more fulfilled with my experience!
