Simple Life Motel

The sheets were covered in sand when we arrived. We had to sleep on top of the comforter and use beach towels as blankets because the sheets and blankets on the bed felt so sandy and gross. Room was fine but no deadbolt on the door so it felt a bit unsafe. TV only had a few channels and no guide, so didn’t even know what else was on or what you were watching. Rude front desk lady when we checked out. Tight parking spots, but convenient location to beach and shops/restaurants. Won’t be going there again though.

The room was dirty. The staff was not helpful. Two of the three ice machines did not work.

Awesome branding and bikes

Stayed in a first floor Deluxe room with 2 full beds. Beds and general living room/kitchen area were very clean so no complaints there. The bathroom however was very outdated and I tried not to look at the gross tiles and corners of the room, generally clean though. Another thing, not really enough lighting in the room. If you want natural lighting you have to open curtains and that means every single person outside your room can see inside, no privacy. Our view was horrible too, of just the parking lot. We could have asked for a room on a higher floor instead facing the beach, so that could have been on us. Our room was also right next to a janitor's closet of some sorts so we had 2 restless nights due to noises right outside our rooms. Overall very average and it didn't even have a pool for the price we paid. Like for just $30 more we could have booked a place with a pool, will definitely do that next time.

The stay was mediocre at best. The walls are so thin that my wife and I heard the couple next door yelling and screaming at each other between 11pm - 12am. I left to get some water at a near 7-11, came back to no parking on the lot. Drove around nearly 30 mintues looking for street parking. The lady at check-in was not friendly at all. Got the vibe that she didn't want to be there to help customers. Don't let the pictures fool you either. Upon arrival, the ceilings had proof of water damage and some of the ceiling tiles\panels were broken.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The ceiling of the room had a brown substance sprayed across it, the moldings were dusty, and there was a musty smell coming from the air conditioner. The balcony had the most lovely view of the ocean, however the balcony above was heavily leaking a/c and it appeared unstable/not safe. My biggest feedback was the broken deadbolt. I stacked my cans in front of the door at night. If the brown spew across the ceiling was not there, I may have felt more comfortable. The outdoor pool was lovely.

I thought this property was going to be better since we saw good pictures online. However, that failed us. The first issue was that the room was on the second floor and I'm handicapped and basically I was screwed. I wanted a Queen and they only had it on the second floor unless i wanted a full size bed or a double. The room was being renovated and things were not plugged in or working. The toilet sit had a Crack in it and there was Sand all over the floor. I almost killed myself in the shower. No grap bars and the tub was slippery. You have to give a $200 deposit and hopefully you will get it back. We were ripped off for the price we paid. Don't stay here. You'll regret it.

It was so dirty there was hair everywhere that was black. The linens were dirty. The pillows smelled like mold. The bathroom window was nailed shut so he couldn’t even open it for ventilation very dim lights very That my back hurt top to bottom unkept not impressed at all. I will not be returning. The beds are absolutely hard as a rock

The place smells like pee The floor is water damaged and there’s mold in the molding of the floor I paid for a “partial ocean view” and all I see is parked cars and grass. Theres a window in the bathroom the faces the hallway and the window blinds don’t cover window properly It’s uncomfortable and feels unsafe I’m staying here w my children and am not happy w the room

The receptionist was very rude and disrespectful. She had a very nasty attitude on the phone and in person. The facility looked like it hadn’t been cleaned but picked up. Definitely not suitable for children.

My room was very put dated. That was the least of the broblem . There was wet stains that were reddish orange on the sofa sleeper sheets . The beds were dirty had crumvs n legit a maroon wig hairs . Stains on the bedding

Property was nice and cleanly but I can say that the tv service was constantly going out on us like every 30 minutes the first 3 days which really sucked.

Not a huge deal, but it did turn a two minute check in into a 20 minute process. After checking in, my husband and I went to our room. The smoke detector wouldn’t stop chirping due to a dead battery. We walked back to the flamingo (they no longer have phones to front desk in the rooms) and let them know and asked for someone to please come replace the battery. The woman said someone would be right up. I fell asleep and two hours later my husband had to find the number and call to ask if someone was going to come replace the battery. They said no, that there are 40 people there and only two employees. He told the employee that this was unacceptable, we were told someone would be right up and we weren’t paying to be slowly driven crazy by their smoke alarm (simply unplugging it was not an option, I had already tried). The guy argued for a minute and then came up and tried handing some batteries to my husband, who couldn’t figure out how the smoke detector opened. The guy also couldn’t figure it out and disappeared for 15 minutes before bringing the smoke detector back in working order. All in all it could have been worse but didn’t appreciate being lied to and there are better places for the same $$

Okay for the price. Need to update the sofa bed and the bathroom.

Since I booked this trip at the last minute, I knew that I was going to be staying at the nicest hotel in town, but I didn't think it would be so dated. The WiFi worked very sparingly. The cable connection was limited to about 10 channels out (maybe) of 20. The rest of the programming was either blank or in freeze-frame mode. Lastly, it was bizarre to see so many people standing outside of their rooms smoking marijuana.

Nice room and in pretty good shape except for the balcony door (wasn't sealing properly until I adjusted) and the ripped screen to the balcony - left in a pesky fly. Comfortable bed & small but nice bathroom. All-in-all a good value for the location.

Love the stay very friendly staff and very helpful when needed

The staff was great. Check in was easy. Provided me all the information needed to stay on property. The room was clean, but was lacking. Some of the outlets didn’t work. Thin blankets on bed and no fitted sheet. AC and TV worked great. All in all we were comfortable during our stay while visiting for a music festival.

Excellent location, literally just steps from the ocean. Somewhat updated accommodations. Cleaner than most. Bathroom was shabby and in need of upgrading, there were only 2 small lamps, and the 3rd lamp had no bulb or anywhere to plug it in. Working mini fridge was a plus, as well as a little balcony/patio area. Lock on slider was sturdy. Ac was cold, bed, pillows and linens were comfortable. Very pleasant check in.

Location was perfect for us .. Room was surprisingly clean and cute .. bathroom was tiny and very much out dated .. balcony was over the office awning, which definitely needed to be cleaned .. bottles, crabs shells, dead bird etc ..
