They overbooked my room

I choose this room based on its 8.8 review. I was astounded when I got there and the place was run down with stuff either broke, not working or in very poor condition. Junk was casually left out on the grass around the property, people working on their cars in the parking lot and the general feeling of the place made me feel a little uneasy. The room was basically mopped and the bed was made. All the towels were clean but shabby and stained. Fixtures in the bathroom were not on the wall but left in a little bucket by the side of the toilet. The shower nozzle was not working properly so someone punched a hole on the side of it to let the water out when turned on. The TV was sitting on a chest of drawers under the wall mount and there was no remote present to turn it on. Appliances in the room where not plugged in because there where not enough plugs available. The curtains were shabby and dirty and hanging weirdly and closed with big bobby pins. I tried to fix that but the curtain bar holding them was not attached to the wall very well. The room had very strong odor of to much cleaning solution or deodorant in the air. My last day I saw a roach and also what looked to be a bed bug crawled out from under the lamp. The place was totally overrated and also the pictures were way out of date. It was a pretty dismal stay. I would not recommend this place to anyone until it is renovated.
