The room I had was not worth less than 1/2 of what I paid for it ($250/night)!! The first room I was assigned was unacceptable. Up 3 flights of stairs with no elevator, and the carpet on the stairs was dirty and torn. The floors in the room, especially in the bathroom, were not clean. There was a bunch of long dark hair caught on a screw on the floor between the bathroom and the bedroom. The wall outside the bathroom was dirty. There were greasy stains on the fabric headboard. YUCK! When I requested to be moved to another room, it was better, but barely, and also smaller. The floors were still not clean (hairs and dust on the bathroom floor). There was a small brown smudge on the toilet seat! And there were also greasy stains on the fabric headboard. No AC, which fortunately was not an issue as the weather had cooled down. The worst was a terrible smell in the bathroom, which may have been coming from the shower drain (?!), or the toilet scrubber brush which looked dirty and well past its usefulness. The tiny fan on the ceiling above the shower had tons of dust on it. And finally, the corner shower was tiny and hard to move around in, had some mold in the caulk in the corner, and one of the glass doors which slides on wheels on a track kept coming off that track. Overall, this place is very outdated, needs a major overhaul, and housekeeping needs a major retraining!!

Disappointing stay, even for a budget hotel Dreams Düsseldorf is clearly a budget hotel, and at its normal rates the standard may be reasonable for what you pay. We did not expect luxury or extensive facilities. Unfortunately, the room was very worn and poorly maintained. The walls had numerous marks, scratches and damaged areas, and both the chairs and bed had visible stains. More importantly, the cleaning was not good enough. We found hair left from previous guests, and the bathroom had poor drainage, leaving a lot of water and moisture after showering. The shower area and seals were also in need of a thorough cleaning and maintenance. Soundproofing was very poor. You could hear a lot through the doors and walls, and other guests were noisy late at night, making it difficult to sleep. This also appears to be mentioned frequently in other reviews. During our stay, hotel rates across Düsseldorf were unusually high due to major concerts in the city. At the significantly increased rate, the combination of poor cleaning, worn condition, no 24-hour reception and very limited facilities made this poor value for money. At the hotel’s normal budget level, the shortcomings may be easier to accept. For this stay, however, the overall standard was disappointing.

Detta boende var under all kritik, luktade mögel och ingrodd rök på rummet, vi betalade mycket pengar för detta boende då det va mycket på som hände denna helgen i Düsseldorf. Bla Backstreet Boys konsert och Oktober fest festival. Ingen städning alls dessa 3 dagar vi bodde på hotellet, vi fick gå ner till receptionen för att hämta handukar personligen. Wifi stod det att det skulle finnas, men fungerade inte alls. Inga mer 3 stjärniga hotell för mig iaf!
