Great place. I just wasnt expecting the valet parking. But on the street parking close by was fine because I didnt need to park from 8-5

Parking sucked due to baseball game. When you take a shower water gets all over the floor.

This SpringHill Suites offered beautiful accommodations and convenience to downtown activities. The only negative was the parking situation. There is no hotel parking and you either have to pay the $29 for valet, or pay for meter parking on the street.

Room was upgraded. It was a wonderful night sleep. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Parking was trig a third party valet. They used an app and that helped get the vehicles to the door on time. Friendly service at the desk.

The rooms are a really nice size & beautifully decorated. The breakfast was a standard continental & had some decent options. The location was pretty good. Parking price was a 29$ … you can park across the street for 6$

The food was ok very limited. The design of building was poor. The decor of the building was not vibrant. It was a little dull. There was no parking.

This is about our 4th time stating here. It was awesome when it opened but this go around the shower door was broken, toilet handle was broken, walls had stains, sofa had stains. We love the theme, but it’s lost it spunk to us.

I had several complaints about the room. There was 3 people booked to room, no bedding for 3rd person. Sofa for 3rd person was dirty with crums and dirt althroughout, the bathing products installed in shower were all empty, only one tiny hand soap bar on sink which wasnt replaced next day, room wasnt reset next day, garbage wasnt removed from room either. To be a Marriot hotel we were pretty dissappointed with the room accommodations.

Great location very clean very friendly service

The room was nice with the high ceiling but the bathroom was too small. The problem was with the cleanliness of the room. There was a balloon stuck in the top of the ceiling that moved around when the heat was on. There was hair on the bathroom floor. There were old urine spots under the commode seat that we had to clean because it took to long for housekeeping to come and clean. There was a Q-tip on the floor and the floor looked like it had not been vacuumed. The TV remote did not work and had to be replaced and the TV picture was poor quality. The bed cover had dirt spots. I reported it to the gentlemen at the front desk and he gave me a clean one to put on myself. Upon retuning to the hotel from an outing in the early morning, there were people standing around and the lobby and it smelled like they had been smoking Marijuana. There was also a person laying on the sofa in the lobby with a blanket. Oh, and the breakfast was average at best. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. On a positive note, the lady at the front desk at checkout did ask about the stay and offered a discount for the inconvenience. She was very nice and very helpful.

My family and I loved the aesthetics of the hotel as it was beautiful. We found free parking on the outside of the hotel since the meters are free on the weekend. The gym had all necessary equipment and was very clean. My bathroom however had hair on the floor and in the shower which let me know that it had not been cleaned properly. We could hear the conversations from the couple next door and footsteps from the people above us.

Massive room and food location but not the cleanest couch and dead cockroach found next to bed otherwise all good

I had 2 roaches in my room!! This is totally unacceptable. In addition they seem to be understaffed. My room was not cleaned (stayed 3 nights)

There were several issue: (1) couch and carpet did not seem to be very clean; (2) the shower door was not closing, and thus the bathroom floor got a significant amount of water with every shower; (3) the hairdrier did not work because the red safety button was out and did not reset; and (4) the AC did not work correctly. The last issue was substantial. When the climate control was set to Auto or to Cool, there was no stopping of the system. Even when it reached the correct temperature, it continued to keep the fan on, at its maximum level (regardless of the fan settings -low, mid, or high had the same outcome). For example, we set cooling to 71 F and it was constantly going down to 69 F. The fan was relative loud, and I measured 45-48 dB (when I switched it off, by switching off the climate control, the room was silent, at 22 dB). The heating was switching on and off, but when I set the heating to 71 the room went up to 77, even if it was about 36 F outside. When I told the reception about this problem (on the first night), they first said that the fan never stops. The following morning, I asked a different member of the staff, and she said that she would have sent someone to check it, or else she would have changed room. When we came back in the late afternoon, there was the same staff member of the first night, and he said that nobody told him anything about the room and so it must have been OK. Unfortunately, it wasn't, and we slept two nights with the background noise.

I had reserved a wheelchair accessible room. It was not. The bathroom was very tight for a wheelchair. Bathroom was dirty specially the baseboards. Small sink for three people.

The renovated rooms are gorgeous with parts of the historic building preserved. Everything was clean and so close to some great eating choices.

The only disappointment for me was my room location. It was on an inside corridor with a big window and a view of a brick wall. No outside light at all and I found it a bit depressing.

Clean. Large room. Nice furnishings. Courteous staff. A little noisy since it is an older building but not distracting. I'm glad they kept so many of the original architectural features.

Everyone was fine except for the early morning noise from room above with kids running and playing. I’m surprise it’s not sound proof for more enjoying for guests.

The staff was lovely, but the room was very strange. After being given a room with a window facing an inner hallway, we asked for a room with a real window. We got one with a window facing the inner atrium, and we had to keep it closed because we were looking into other guests' rooms nearby. The HVAC fan is disturbingly loud. The TV is wall mounted between the bed and the couch, and though you can pull it out and angle it a bit, it is awkward to watch either from the couch or the bed. A very poor design. Why do hotels provide only one luggage rack for a double occupancy room? The breakfast was adequate, but as is so often the case these days all the food was way way too salty. It seems exploitive to only offer valet parking. Let guests park themselves in the same nearby lot, which is unprotected anyway. Positives: A short, pleasant walk to the Legacy Museum, and about 20 minutes to the Peace and Justice Memorial.

Our room was unbearably hot and it took hours for the room to cool down. We had a couple of palmetto bugs. The room was very nice other than that. Staff were very nice and the hotel was unique.

The hotel and room were very cool! Loved how they kept structures of the old building. The bathroom was a little tight and hard to navigate.

Friendly staff, clean hotel, very spacious room

I know check-in is not until 4:00pm, but I arrived at 3:00pm checked with the front desk stated check-in was at 4:00pm. So we walked to the river front until 4:00pm. We came back at 4:00pm ready to check-in only to find there was no room available. My sister checked back at the desk and she stated they had a room if we wanted to go there. Turned out to be a handicap room that had a bad smell. Went back to the front desk again she stated they had a room on the second floor. We loaded our luggage again to go to the second floor while I went to the desk to check-in. I told my sister to go ahead to the second floor and wait. When I got back to the desk she stated the room was no longer available. Waited until 5:00p, and finally got a room on the 4th floor. The master switch did not work so we slept with the center light between the beds on. This was a down version of all that went on. I worked in a hotel for 16 years this would have never been acceptable. We were told they had three buses coming in but found out they only had two house keepers on. This is where poor management starts. Need I say more about the women at the front taking in luggage, which we did not let her do because she was higher than a kite. A real hustler. You may want to have someone visit this property before you loose business. That many buses coming in would have been all hands on deck but trust me this was not. I guess that why all other hotel lobby's may not have had guest standing.

Front desk staff service is terrible. They made me feel as if I was disturbing their night for checking in. Also, they oversold their rooms and sent me away though I booked my room 2 months in advance!

Payed for our stay with one key cash. Provided a credit card at check in for incidentals and was told it wasn’t needed. When I checked out the next morning the lady asked for a card since there wasn’t one in file. I gave her my card and asked if she just needed it for incidentals and she said yes. After leaving I checked my card and she charged the full amount to my card. I immediately called and she said I would have to wait until Monday and speak with the manager. I called back Monday and the manager said she would refund my card and that I would get an email with the refund. Still haven’t received my money or an email.

Manager on Duty was amazing from start to finish. She went above and beyond to assist us with everything.

Check in staff was not friendly. Got locked out of our room and took over 5 min to get someone to the front desk.

All the staff we met from check in, breakfast and cleaning crew were all friendly and professional. They made the stay excellent.

Check in was 4PM. At 4:07PM I was told to come back in 30 minutes as the room was not ready. At this time there was a lobby full of guests waiting for rooms. Finally got checked into a room at 5:07 PM(first floor even though I booked a river view). That room still had other customers items in it. Went back to the front desk, despite showing them a picture (see photo)of the occupied room I was made to wait in line again to receive a different room. Finally got checked into my second room at 5:27PM(second floor, despite reserving a river view). This room was clean and unoccupied. Due to the delay to checking into my room, I had to reschedule my dinner reservations twice. We also were woken up by housekeeping at 8AM despite my checkout time being 12PM. Extremely unhappy with my stay overall.

There was only valet parking unless you could find parking on the street. When I arrived at the hotel at 10:30 pm with three children including an autistic child, they cancelled our reservation. It was inhumane. They could care less that they stranded us 400 miles from home with no place to sleep. I found out from locals they overbook on purpose so they can insure they will be full.

This is my second stay with them. That should say enough. If not, I will let it be known that the staff’s friendliness is top tier. The room was spacious and spotless. Location, location, location! It is conveniently located downtown. Great food choices, bars, etc. And I absolutely love the history and design in this particular establishment.

It was a very nice room and a great location for downtown Montgomery. However, the staff was non-existent, and when I checked in, the front desk rep was not helpful or remotely friendly; he basically acted like I was inconveniencing him.

All the staff I interacted with were very accommodating. The room was fantastic, nice and spacious. The location of the hotel is near many historical sites.

The property was in a good location. Was able to walk to museum and restaurants. The only issue I did not a room view of the river

Good downtown location, close to riverfront and many restaurants. Easy walk to capitol area and museums. Hotel had modern feel. Only item I could criticize is the fact that two of the three monitors/tvs in the lobby area were flickering. They need to replace them.

Unique rooms, very good customer service and a ton of history surround this hotel.

I loved that there were a lot of great places to eat at with in walking distance of the hotel.

Hotel was in a great location. The room was spacious and modern. Its a bit of a challenge getting the temperature in the room right due to the high ceilings. Alsp there is plenty of parking outside. Just be cautious that on Friday and Saturday night its harder to gind a spot cause people are at the bars and restaurants.

This is a unique space (converted warehouse) and our room was gorgeous. We were walking distance from everywhere we wanted to go. Breakfast was solid and helped us to have so many options.

I’m going to have to get used to no chests of drawers and shallow closets. I hear that both are standard in new hotels. The breakfast was a bit monotonous. They always put out pancake syrup but never any pancakes or waffles to put it on. The rooms are striking.

Very cool building, we were on the 4th floor so the ceilings were 15 ft tall—very cool room in this renovated historical building. The only downer was the breakfast.. not great but there’s a Starbucks right next door

The building and rooms are beautiful and contemporary as expected. Unfortunately, there were a few little glitches that brought the scores down. Things like there was no toilet paper or sink soap in the room when I first checked in. Also, the desk lamp was rusted badly and my requested wake up calls two days in a row never came. Finally, for breakfast, the egg and cheese omelet was cold. Overall, if the option came up, I would use the hotel again but, it was not up to the normal SpringHill standard.

A charming and beautifully converted old furniture factory amount other previous uses. Lots of timber, high ceilings and character. Large room with lounge Complete with Fridge Tea/coffee Huge tall windows Desk Good size bathroom TV Location is downtown and you can park on the street ( paid in the week) if you can get a spot if not it is only valet parking at $30 + US a night. Breakfast was more a quick service with your standard Scrambled eggs Patties Waffles Yogurt Tea/coffee Bagels Muffins No bread so no toast Small stock of snacks / drinks at reception as well. Staff were friendly, we were only here for one night so good for a stopover or if visiting the town.
