personnel was very accommodating, room is good, parking is very safe, had a good comfortable stay, will definitely stay here again

Not being familiar with driving in the LA basin the Starlight was easy to find with the signs out front. Check in was quick and easy, parking was good and the room was very clean (loved the blue led rope lights for a night light) and we were close to the event we attended Saturday night. All in All would return in a heartbeat.

Not clean. Jacuzzi tub not worth the extra 10$ because it was missing parts of the drain.

Clean rooms. Lovely staff. No loud noises. Alway someone cleaning around. I look forward coming back. The jacuzzi was amazing the keys were strong and overall a wonderful experience.

Had to change rooms twice because the first room was way to small, could hardly move around. And the second room the bathroom sink was cracked and if I would've used the sink the water would have landed on the floor. At the end they did give me an upgrade that had a jacuzzi but because I paid for a standard room they said, if I use the jacuzzi I would have to pay extra.

Easy in out parking.

Nice spacious room, had a mini fridge, safe parking, big bed but the pillows were pretty flat and the shower head was taped on so the water was spraying out of the shower..not much you could do. Other then that it was a great place to stay!

Clean place, parking lot is small but is inside the hotel so gives more safety, room was clean , very nice place to stay for vacation, I would definitely come back on my next vacation.

The room was the worst. The bed was burned and hard as a rock. It smelled so bad of cigarettes and the floor all looked dirty. The toilet didnt work. Asked for a refund and got turned away. Went to a new hotel because this was the most disgusting hotel

I reserved and paid through expedia and they almost did not accept the reservation and almost made me pay again. Used towels with hair all over them, used soap in the shower with mold, the sink water was over pressurized, and the only 2 pillows on the bed were flat and small. But on the bright side they had a cool light in the room for ambience.

The property was dirty. First off it looked as if the laundry department did not put clean sheets when I was walked into the room I noticed hairs on the pillow cases. Not only this but the walls and the couch as well as bathroom were very dirty walls looked like they needed a good wipe down. I myself cleaned the room and when I left it looked clearer than when I booked the room. The staff was rude and service all together was bad would not recommend.

Changed room 3 times, none were clean. Hair in toilet, skid marks on walls. “Smoke free” rooms reeked of marijuana smoke, bathroom smelled like urine. Extremely unprofessional staff, poor management, waiting on refund.

Room not clean/disgusting (bed not made, dead flies, used cigarrettes and plastic glasses, can caps). Other guests consuming drugs (unbearable smell for kids). Impolite staff. Awful experience. Literally, the worst hotel/motel I have been in my whole life...

When I entered the room, the smell was like cigarettes, the floor was sticky, the walls were stained, and The bed sheets smelled really bad, like armpits or someone who hadn't showered for days had stayed in them. the guy at the front desk was very rude and threw the key at me. I didn't say anything because I was tired and there was a lot of noise next door, someone playing music late at night. I totally do not recommend this place.

They have roaches and bed bugs

Smells terrible, we left the room just 1 hr after check in, we saw spayders and rouches

They could do way better. cockroaches everywhere

The toilet was not clean like a guest would like. The towels are horrible. They need to get new towels. The room was nice and big. The staff was very nice.

It seems like there is jumping and running upstairs on 2nd level!

The AC don't work and the room is 🔥 very bad

Good location but the room was too small and not very clean. The bathroom, too, was not clean. Nobody came to clean it on my second day there. No microwave. It was nice to see two water bottles and a small bag of chips, but one of the bottled water was open and it was evident someone had drunk from it. It was noisy as you could hear people screaming almost the whole time I was there. Internet access was inexistent. Check-in wasn't really friendly; it felt like I was being done a favor.

The TV didnt work there was no shower curtain or door to keep water from getting everywhere while showering and the pillows were flat as pancakes. For $133 i thought it would be a little better

I was staying one night and my sleeping was inturreped by the beside room the whole night.

I travel a lot for work and stay at motels often to help save money. Its usually for one night, so no big deal. The rooms at Starlight are comfortable and clean, my only complaint being the cardboard thin pillows. The pillows (I kid you not) where at most 2 inches thick each. The bigger concern? SAFETY. One, when I checked in, rather than checking for my hotels.com reservation, the lady at the front desk assumed I was a John who needed the room for a few hours for a hookup. Which, I'm annoyed to say was the room next to me. They had plenty a good time as the guy next to me had several loud ladies over all night. Then there was the homeless guy. Throughout the evening he walked the property banging on doors, yelling at people and even setting things on fire in the parking lot. At one point I called the lady at the front desk and told her "hey, there is a fire in the parking lot" and she said "its OK - that guy is a frequent guest." I tried finding a hotel nearby with rooms at that point... but no luck. So I decided to truck it out. 11pm - the owner shows up for a hot minute and kicks the guy off the property. That lasts about 2 minutes. 8am - The homeless guy is chasing a family with two young kids to their car waving a bottle at them and screaming. The hotel owners and front desk did nothing. Don't stay here if you value comfort or safety. Wish I was making this up.

I arrived at 7:30 and they said the room was not ready and to come back in an hour. I returned an hour later to see that they barely knocked on the door to get the people out and clean. Still not ready by 9:45pm. No parking, dirty place, and sketchy.

The idiot at the counter would not let me have my room becuase my reservation was under "Tony S Franklin" and my driver license says "Anthony Scott Franklin". Obviously not an American. Probably didn't help that I was wearing a patriotic shirt. Can't say enough about how wrong that experience was.

Security harass me and other guest. Room keys often fail to work making unneeded returns to front desk....where THEY act like THEY were being inconveinencd

Staff were rude, i made a phone call to ask them for a bottom room due to my son was special needs and needed a bottom room. Staff informed me that they could not accommodate me that i would have to see of there were any available rooms when i arrived. if i would have called them 2 days earlier i would have canceled the reservation. Fortunately for us there were more bottom rooms than top. They also said they did not have a handicap room. Well, again person on the phone lied, because there was one room for handicap people.. The place was shady and dirty everything was broken. Our toilet we had to flush 3 to 4 times before the water went down completely, the ice machine was broken. Our little coffee table was wobbly literally rocking back and forth People above us were walking back-and-forth all nightlong with yelling and screaming outside. People arguing, which was very frightening for me and my son. i will mever stay there again. I would mot recommend it to anyone with small.children or handicapped people

We stayed a couple of nights and it was ok. It’s not in the safest place as advertised- La Brea St is not bad but there’s people walking really late at night (1am).

Too much traffic

Old and tattered, to be sure, but inexpensive. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was strong and refreshing. Management let me check a couple of bags for the day in the office. I had a good stay and bus stops were convenient for exploring the city. Just what i wanted.

Quality hotel between downtown and Venice beach good food in the area.

Good stay for the price and location and the guy working in the checking, I believe his name was Kenny was great
