The Garden Suites

Orbitz sent me an email on behalf of the property saying they would keep my luggage before the check in time and when I arrived to the suites they told me they don’t store luggage. The suites don’t comply with the offer made during reservation. The bathroom wall leaks and the corridor gets flooded.

A great comfortable, modern and spacious apartment with well equipped kitchen. Located very centrally near Gran Via and Sol.

Cette propriété est vraiment très bien. Le mobilier est moderne et confortable. L'espace de rangement est plus que suffisant. La cuisinette est un peu sous équipé mais on réussit à s'arranger. L'emplacement est proche de tout, métro, restaurants, boutiques et épiceries. Le plus gros point négatif est la discothèque en face qui ferme à 6 AM certains jours et qui rend l'endroit très bruyant. Si ce point ne vous dérange pas, c'est un endroit vraiment magnifique.

This property is all about location, we enjoyed being on the center of Madrid, we were able to go to so many destinations walking, and then return to our apartment to rest a little bit in the afternoon and then continue the exploring later afternoon and night. It is in the center of a big city so you will hear city noises. Also, they should improve their internet service and the apartment needs some LTC. However, you have a washing machine available that fitted well with our luggage plan, and again, the location is PRIME, it also has a super easy access to metro.

El apartamento está muy bien, la terraza común espectacular y la situación inmejorable. Único defecto el ruido por la noche.

El lugar es realmente lindo, tiene todo lo necesario, llegamos tarde por retraso en el vuelo y Paula tuvo que retornar al apartamento ya que no pudo conectarse remotamente, fue muy atenta y amable, no se pueden dejar las maletas en el apartamento, pero hay una muy buena opción a 40 metros con descuento por alojamiento en The Gardens, en realidad todo estuvo muy bien; es un sitio peatonal, por lo que no ingresan vehículo, así que se debe caminar una cuadra para llegar.

There is not a lobby or someone to help you when you get there. No place to leave your luggage if you have to wait for the check in. Hot water wasn't working. So you can't take a shower in that hotel. You call the "person in charge" and no answer. The worst experience!!

Das Hotel und die Lage sind super. Da gibt es überhaupt keine Beanstandung. Das einzige Problem ist die Lautstärke in der Nacht. Es ist unmöglich ein Auge zuzutun. Durch einen Club nebenan ist wirklich die ganze Nacht bis morgens früh ein extrem lauter Geräuschpegel. Ich hätte nicht gedacht das es so extrem ist. Das wäre für mich ein Grund dieses Hotel nicht mehr zu buchen. Sehr schade weil ansonsten nichts zu bemängeln gibt. Die dachterasse ist toll am Abend. Der kleine Supermarkt um die Ecke hat 24 Stunden geöffnet. Das Bett ist sehr bequem.

This place is in the city centre, convenient location. The apartment is clean and big. There is a washing machine and a dryer in the building too. The only thing is shower is not convenient for short people ( too high) . But still highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at Garden Suites. It was right in the midst of a city. Very lively area. Suite was spacious, big, nice and clean.

L'appartement est très coquet et la literie très confortable. La salle de bain était mal nettoyé ( des cheveux dans la douche). Mais le problème et là ce n'est pas la faute du propriétaire c'est qu'il y a eu un groupe de clientes qui sous l'effet de l'alcool ont fait du bruit à partir de minuit, ont commencé à taper sur la porte d'entrée et ont ensuite je ne sais comment fait déclencher l'alarme d'incendie qui ne s'est pas arrêté qu'après intervention de la police et des pompiers vers 2h30 du matin. Bref une nuit mouvementée sachant qu'on devait se lever tôt pour prendre notre vol.

At first glance the apartment looks lovely. However, many things do not work--lights are burned out or broken, doors won't close, the shower works inconsistently. Also, we found ants both downstairs and upstairs. Requests for help/items were ignored. While centrally located, the area immediately surrounding the apartments is extremely loud, especially on the weekends. Shouting and noise goes on until 3 or 4 in the morning. But beyond all this there is one primary reason why we gave this property just one star. But under Expedia's rules we are not allowed to tell you what it is . . .Travellers beware.

The bed needs to be changed; it has been used too often. The towels are ripped, so is the bed sheet. Shower faucets don’t have a cover and one is missing a bolt. The lights by the bed missing glass covers. Most importantly the refrigerator doesn’t work. The property manager said no one complained before! Basically, you can’t keep any food in the house. In addition, the information folder for the apartment is empty! I had to call the property manager to figure out what the check out process is. The description on Expedia is not accurate. There is no daily house keeping, which is kind of understandable for an apartment building; but there are no vacuum or a good broom to clean the floor. The owner either started to use a new property manger (which doesn’t know how to communicate effectively with tourists), or decided to only provide the minimum amenities possible. This was the worse experience we had in an apartment and we do travel multiple times each year. Do not recommend the place in the current shape.

Lovely and nicely furnished apartment in a great location. Close to everything and everywhere. Sol Train station & Gran Via nearby. Very modern apartment. We are a family of 5 and we stayed for 3 nights.

The apartment had many things that did not work: doors did not close properly, lights burned out or were not working etc. Management was non-responsive to requests and dishonest. Ants were in the apartment. It was extremely NOISY at night (well into the early morning hours).

I was so disappointed about his place because it is a beautiful property with a perfect location however it was so Dirty and the upstairs bathroom was clogged and we couldn’t use it. I informed the housekeeper and she didn’t seem concerned. Also the ac units all leaked and my daughter had her purse on a ledge and the ac leaked all the way down the wall to the point the purse and her passport were damaged. Again it’s a shame because if maintained properly it would have been a different experience.

Spray for ants in the upstairs bathroom and switch the glass stairs for something safer. Provide guests with earplugs. Other than that, well decorated and great location.

Don’t stay here if your plan is to sleep. The rooms are really nice, but the check in process is way overdrawn (it’s ‘online’ but takes 3x as long as the place I stayed in the next day)…but the noise is absolutely mad. It’s basically like sleeping in the street - but arguably worse. We both tried to wear noise cancelling headphones (which aren’t designed to wear in bed) and it still didn’t block the noise out. You can’t blame a hotel in a city centre for people being loud on the street - but advertise it fairly and insulate the rooms is a bare minimum expectation! We have stayed in city centre hotels in dozens of cities and this is by far the loudest. Next time, I’ll book a nightclub.

If you do not mind outside noise, then you will be pleased. Easy access to restaurants and shopping. Air conditioning not cold enough. Property could be cleaner. Smelled like damp clothes.

The rooms here are absolutely amazing. The layout of the rooms along with decor feels very luxury. It was also very clean, 10/10 on that front. My issue is with the noise from the street. You are in the middle of a shopping and dining square and it is quite noisy. I thought it would quiet down after midnight when restaurants close, but all through the early morning it was noisy with passersby, restaurants packing equipment etc. Very hard to get a good night’s rest considering.

The location was convenient and very central. The room was very modern and clean and the view from the room was also nice. The biggest problem was the noise. The room was very noisy and loud from the people outside. It seemed like the windows were made of paper or plastic film since they did not dampen the voices from outside whatsoever. The other problem was they could not provide me with a receipt at checkout for whatever reason. Strange. The total the clerk wrote for me on a piece of a brochure was much less than what I was charged by my credit card. The hotel is very nice looking from the outside as well.

No tuvimos buena comunicación con la recepción , preguntamos en varias ocasiones cómo funcionaba la estufa y no fue posible que nos explicaran , no la pudimos usar

1. Communication Issues: There were significant communication problems with the property manager, Paula. Despite claiming to speak English, she was nearly impossible to understand. Texting her wasn't an option, and other methods of communication seemed futile. When she called me and couldn't understand what I was saying, she became extremely agitated, raising her voice. I didn't travel to engage in arguments or acquire negative emotions; I came to enjoy myself. 2. Noise around the Bar: Exceptionally Loud: On one occasion, I couldn't fall asleep until 4 am in the morning due to the incessant noise from the downstairs bar. The noise was consistently disruptive, and it felt as if the soundproofing was nonexistent, with the glass doors seemingly amplifying every sound. 3. Room: While the furnishings and overall design of the room were minimalist, they were not functional. The water pressure in the shower was weak, sometimes even cold. Additionally, the furniture doors didn't align properly. 4. Cleaning: I put "do not disturb" tag on the door for the first night then remove it in hopes of getting fresh towels, the room remained untouched and no fresh towels. No signs of any cleaning efforts. This was highly disappointing. I would recommend you to stay at a hotel with a receptionist. This property does not accommodate any requests.

We contact to the property for inquiries and never get back any info, the AC was horrible, it was liking water all the time, and never get the room cooling. No attention at welcome, they just give you the keys and that’s it. Also no one say that we have to leave deposit. The water at the showers is poor, i did not recommend this

Everything was great! Awesome location and Andres at the front desk was very helpful! We will definitely be coming back, thanks for a great Madrid stay!!

Ojo! 1.- Te piden un depósito en garantía de 200 euros que según ellos te desbloquean al salir de la propiedad. Van ya 4 días y sigue el saldo retenido en mi tdc! Y NO ME DAN RESPUESTA, NI COMPROBANTE DEL REVÉS. 2.- La comunicación con la encargada es terrible, demasiado arrogante. 3.- Te piden registrarte en una red de Civitatis para poder darte acceso al complejo, antes no. ¿Sirve de algo realmente? Quien quiera contratar tours les hará la solicitud directamente. En fin… Sigo esperando mi respuesta.

The property is in the heart of the action. Expect noise late at night to the early morning. Several bars and restaurants around the property. It’s a 3-4 minute walk to Gran Via Metro station and 5-6 minute walk to Sol Metro station. There’s an elevator.

Very good facility located at the heart of the city. Lots of restaurants and bars downstairs, as well as a grocery store. Very closed to metra and train station as well. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back when visiting Madrid in the future.

This was in a great central location to the Gran Via and metro stations. Plenty of shopping and food options. Just beware there are bars directly surrounding this properties and it is VERY LOUD until around 4am. Our 5 year old daughter was able to sleep through it but we were woken up multiple times through the night. It’s also a very narrow room and not much space for luggage. But very clean and easy to check in and check out.

After a slight challenge in finding the place, our stay was great. The location is really good because it's basically walking distance to everything in central Madrid. You're steps away from Gran Via and Puerta del Sol. It's also very comfortable due to the size of the unit compared to hotels.
