Our stay at Y Capel was wonderful! We loved the heritage associated with the building. Our room was large and clean. The bathroom seemed to have been recently updated and the shower was awesome. The common area was lovely with extra amenities. Check-in at the Erskine Arms (immediately across the road) was quick and easy. Breakfast was included (at the Erskine Arms), and it was delicious with lots of choice. Y Capel is a wonderful spot for exploring all the sites of Conwy. We would highly recommend it. We had only two minor complaints during our stay. First, the heated towel rack seemed awkwardly situated on the wall opposite the toilet so we kept knocking our heads on the rack when standing up (the bathroom was quite narrow) but we eventually got used to avoiding it! The other minor inconvenience was there is no air conditioning; however, a large fan was supplied which suited our needs but may not be sufficient during warmer months or for people who like it very cool.

This is an excellent choice for a stay in Conwy. Everything is really at your doorstep, and it's just a few minutes walk to the water, castle, walls, and shops. St. Mary's Church (behind the building) makes an excellent shortcut! While we were warned about the church bells, we did NOT notice them. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Parking was an added plus.

Great accommodation right in the centre of Conwy with onsite parking (bonus). Lovely breakfast taken at sister hotel Erskine Arms. Refreshments in room including bottled water which would have been nicer if a fridge was available.

Very comfortable room with lots of space. The only minor issue was that if the room upstairs was busy the sound echoed due to the height of the ceilings. Very conveniently located in the center of Conwy. Short walk to the Erskine Arms for excellent breakfast, or evening meal. Onsite parking is very convenient if a little tight.

Really good location in the middle of Conwy. Lovely room and shower. Breakfast was fantastic across the road. Parking was a squeeze but managed it (people need to be more considerate parking). Close to shops and bars. Food in erskine arms was beautiful and would certainly go there again. Would not hesitate to book again

We stayed one night in the chapel in room 1 downstairs, room spacious, clean and tidy. Bed was really comfy and good selection of tea/coffee and biscuits. No view from the widow but plenty of light and you can use the communal area if you wanted more space. Breakfast across the road at the Erskine arms was very good, a good choice and good service, we also had our evening meal there which was really good, husband enjoyed the cask ales. Easy walk to shops and the quay, the Liverpool arms along from the smallest house was quirky and nice for a drink later on. Parking is available nxt to the chapel which was amazing for Conwy. We will be back.

A really excellent small hotel, ideally located in the centre of town and with easy access to the Erskine Arms opposite for breakfast and dinner. Room was really comfortable with all facilities, including plenty of tea and coffee available at all times, and well equipped. Room was well maintained and kept extremely clean by the efficient staff Almost impossible to find anything to criticise with the hotel or pub so definitely well recommended.

教会の外観をそのまま残したこじんまりとしたゲストハウスです。 しかしコンウィ駅から近く、室内の設備も新しく清潔です。 チェックインは近くのジ・アースキンアームズというホテルで行います。そこで部屋の鍵と入り口ドアのパスコードを教えてもらえます。 朝食もこのアースキンアームズでいただきます。オーソドックスなイギリスの朝食ですがとても素晴らしい内容でした。 チェックアウト後の荷物はワイカペルに置いておいても良いとのこと。一階のロビーで電車の時間まで休めるのはとてもありがたかった点。 唯一の問題はこの規模のゲストハウスにありがちなエレベーターが無い点。2階の部屋だとスーツケースが重いと大変。 しかし総合的には大変おすすめできる宿泊施設です。

We were very impressed with the quality of the accommodation. It was spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Onsite parking was a bonus too. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the breakfast was good. Will definately return.

This is a really great place, convenient, good quality, someone has put a lot of thought into the design. Food is Good - and could be great. Breakfast really good & choice of ales & wines good. Rooms were really well thought through with some lovely touches but let down by very average quality bed linen & pillows that had seen better days, one wasn’t enough & 2 too many. En suite was lovely but again let down by needing a deep clean. Didn’t quite get the resident thing right - no where to sit and gave a drink before dinner although knew we were residents - Would however defo give it a 2nd chance next time we are in beautiful Conwy.

Very quaint hotel in the middle of Conwy. Comfortable bed, large room and very clean. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cookies in room with extras supplied in the common room. Good parking. Excellent breakfast included! Church bells did not bother us at all.

Immaculate property and a great breakfast. Only let downs were finding a previous guests’ toenail clippings on the floor and left in the wooden panel above the bed (seriously, who does that?! grim!). The main disappointment was the seriously poor sound proofing. The rooms are adjoining so in terms of sound, it was like living with room mates with the adjoining room. For the amount spent on finishing, hard to understand why the soundproofing was neglected. Other reviews seem to complain about the tolling church bells - not an issue. They’re not particularly loud. Bed and room otherwise extremely comfortable and property location and access was perfect.

Many positives and the only reason I am scoring 3/5 overall is that the mattresses need to be seriously upgraded. Room 5 mattress was brutal… hard… springs pressing in your back/side. Not a good sleep.

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The shower was very nice. The restaurant was cozy and felt like a local pub. The food was incredible (we had the chicken, scotch eggs and the duck hash brown). The staff was incredibly nice. Nothing but great things to share about this stay.

Charming converted chapel. Rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, and clean. Common area is roomy and comfy. Handy parking inclusive in room price. Had a delicious dinner in their restaurant. Staff helpful and friendly.

Y Capel has been fitted out beautifully and to a high standard. We stayed in one of the upper floor rooms which was large and still has the original wooden beams that formed the chapel ceiling. Our only gripe would be the mattress was not the comfiest but apart from that we were very happy and would happily stay there again.

Cute, quirky place to stay. Parking is tricky and the streets are very tight. No minibar or frills. Good shower. Bed was very firm with minimal padding- not good for folk with back problems.

Very unique property! Very close to everything in town and a lovely breakfast with (additional cost) evening dining options. You’ll probably hear your neighbors talking as the chapel isn’t very soundproofed, but it’s a minor issue at most.

The room was very pleasant but the mattress had seen better days so very little sleep....even my partner who can normally sleep anywhere! Breakfast was a mixed bag....Eggs Benedict very good but the full Welsh and cold table was very disappointing and couldn't possibly be the 'best breakfast in Wales'! Dinner the night before was nothing special and very noisy.

This was the third time that my partner and I have stayed; it has definitely become a favourite place for us. The room was lovely, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were fantastic too. We also had a booked neal at The Erskine, which was excellent as always. This time, we discovered their Sunday roasts as well, which were the best we've had. Will continue to enjoy visiting here.

Staff, food, room, check in and experience 5*, would recommend and would go back. This is not a bad review, just information housekeeping: Instructions for parking were to park somewhere in the town centre but as we were staying in the chapel which had its own car park (code required), we were permitted to park in there. It’s not a problem but had we known that, we wouldn’t have spent 35 minutes driving round the full car parks of Conwy looking for a space pre-checkin.

The Y Capel was a beautiful property to stay at. It had recently been remodeled and was very tastefully and comfortably updated. We loved our stay here. Within walking distance to restaurants, local shops and the magical Conwy Castle.

This is an excellent choice for a stay in Conwy. Everything is really at your doorstep, and it's just a few minutes walk to the water, castle, walls, and shops. St. Mary's Church (behind the building) makes an excellent shortcut! While we were warned about the church bells, we did NOT notice them. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Parking was an added plus.

Great location. A very unique building that was renovated from church to guest house, a lot of fun to stay there. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Right in the middle of everything in Conwy.

Our stay at Y Capel was wonderful! We loved the heritage associated with the building. Our room was large and clean. The bathroom seemed to have been recently updated and the shower was awesome. The common area was lovely with extra amenities. Check-in at the Erskine Arms (immediately across the road) was quick and easy. Breakfast was included (at the Erskine Arms), and it was delicious with lots of choice. Y Capel is a wonderful spot for exploring all the sites of Conwy. We would highly recommend it. We had only two minor complaints during our stay. First, the heated towel rack seemed awkwardly situated on the wall opposite the toilet so we kept knocking our heads on the rack when standing up (the bathroom was quite narrow) but we eventually got used to avoiding it! The other minor inconvenience was there is no air conditioning; however, a large fan was supplied which suited our needs but may not be sufficient during warmer months or for people who like it very cool.

We traveled 5 weeks and this was our favorite place to stay. Restaurant bar super! Breakfast outstanding! We’d live there if our our grandkids weren’t in the U.S.

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The shower was very nice. The restaurant was cozy and felt like a local pub. The food was incredible (we had the chicken, scotch eggs and the duck hash brown). The staff was incredibly nice. Nothing but great things to share about this stay.

Beautiful property with excellent decor. Lounge area was lovely, with tea and coffee. Breakfast provided small selection but enough, but I did have to go searching for staff to ask for more coffee and some toast, so service could be better. Parking provided on site was a bonus. Enjoyed the stay though.

The location was fantastic, right in the middle of Conwy with free secure parking. The room was pristine and had everything we could have needed for our stay and more. The staff were so welcoming and the food was delicious

The room was very pleasant but the mattress had seen better days so very little sleep....even my partner who can normally sleep anywhere! Breakfast was a mixed bag....Eggs Benedict very good but the full Welsh and cold table was very disappointing and couldn't possibly be the 'best breakfast in Wales'! Dinner the night before was nothing special and very noisy.

Incheckning mm sker på Erskine Arms på andra sidan gatan. Servicen, liksom både frukost och middag, var klanderfri. Mycket bra läge, en minut från järnvägsstationen och mycket nära både Conwy Castle och butiker mm i centrum. Rekommenderas verkligen! Önskar att jag hade kunnat stanna längre.

The rooms were delightful however when booking there was no mention of the church bells that ring every 15 minutes day and night! This combined with the paper thin walls and ceilings meant sleeping was extremely difficult. They do provide ear plugs for guests but not ideal. Also breakfast choices are extremely limited if you are vegan. Better choice of cereals and types of milk would have been good as well as suitable menu options.

Had an excellent 2 night stay. The room was spotless and very tastefully decorated with the character and history of the building well considered for. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant indeed. In fact they were all impressive. We breakfast both days which was amazing as was the evening meal. The parking was a real bonus knowing that your space was there if you had ventured out for the day. We would not hesitate to stay here again should we visit Conwy in the future. Thank you for a very pleasant and perfect weekend. Bernard and Ann.
