Second time staying at the Bowman during a difficult time, the staff were excellent, kind and helpful, really went above and beyond. This really made my stay more enjoyable. The facilities were clean and suitable for my needs. Great parking and a quiet area.

Lovely hotel, and very secure as you seem to not make your way to the rooms through a private entrance to a courtyard. Food / drinks / atmosphere were really nice in the pub next door. Room very comfortable.

Stayed here for work … Rooms ideal … everything was clean and tidy … And ground floor rooms were cool in the extremely hot weather Lots of deals on the pub food too !!

Nice large clean room (double) great heating and comfy bed. Right next to a nice pub of course so thats a bonus for food and drink. Highly recommend.

Pleasantly surprised at how good the accommodation was for the price! Family room with an almost full size single bed for my 6ft son too! Lovely well maintained courtyard area which the rooms are situated around. Reception lady was very friendly & helpful, even though we arrived as her shift ended! Definitely highly recommend!

Pleasant basic accommodation at a reasonable price. Free onsite parking. Very nice and helpful staff. Great location. Plenty of buses and trams nearby to get into Nottingham. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed in room 1. A few issues with a loose toilet seat and a leaking shower but everything else was great. Comfortable, quiet, clean, great service snd a fantastic breakfast. Alerted them to problems and would def stay again

The room was very dirty, the carpet is stained and disgusting, everything else was fine. the staff are great and friendly and helpful.

It was a pleasant stay, two things let it down. The door to the rooms opens externally and didn't fit properly meaning all the noise of the outside woke me up a few times. This also meant the cold was able to get in. Took me a while to realise the radiator was switched off. The other issue was the bathroom, there was marks all up and down the walls, looked like damp problems. The shower had once been a glass door but was now replaced with a shower curtain and the entire bathroom needs an uplift. Other than that it was nice, I probably wouldn't stay again due to the damp in the bathroom but in a push I would consider it.

Always clean rooms here and staff helpful. Pub can be a bit busy early evening but food is good and prices ok.

Very clean room it was comfortable but mattress was very hard for me and pillows too flat but overall very good yes I would definitely stay again. The breakfast was very good value lots of choices and very tasty

While the property is ok, the front desk closes at 9pm which can be a bit early. More concerning, I was disappointed by the room allocation facing car park and road when I specifically asked and was confirmed a quiet room at the back.

Nice spacious room for a long stay. Good Wifi and could easily plug my fire stick into the TV. Room tidied every day and cleaned upon request. On the other hand, breakfast was awful. Pub was dirty and the nozzles were off the beer taps at about 8 which i thinks a bit unwelcoming. 24 hour front desk is a bit misleading as it is unmanned most of the night with a phone number to call. Walls are very thin and i was facing the pub so noise from there too.

Bed was uncomfortable

The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the full English Breakfast during our stay. On the first night, we arrived back to our room late and found the heating was not working, The room was very cold. We called the after hours number and didn't get an answer. We ended up sleeping fully dressed with our coats on. The next morning, I address the issue with the lady at the front desk. She was very apologetic, and brought a portable heater to our room. We were much warmer the second night. If it wasn't for the heating issues, I would have given a higher star rating.

We were very pleased to find that The Bowman could provide a copious breakfast at a very reasonable price. The staff were very friendly.

Clean and helpful staff

Nobody in reception at 20:50 with note to press call button but after 10 mins nobody turned up. We called all the numbers listed but there was no answer / number un-recognised. Went to the attached pub and asked about the reception and told someone would be coming over, 5 mins later receptionist arrived and announced that the attached restaurant was closed. Not a good first impression!

It was just for 1 night so was hardly in it but it was clean and tidy, and a good price. Tina at reception was very helpful and friendly.

The team was fantastic and Charlotte was AMAZING and always went that extra mile to make sure your stay was pleasant and enjoyable

Good hotel, nice staff but yet again room provided was not the ones selected. This happens frequently with Hotels.com and is becoming a little tedious at times. Just simplify the room choices and stop offering upgraded rooms at upgraded prices if you aren't going to give the correct rooms upon arrival

Good location for visiting our family in Nottingham. Warm welcome on reception. Clean and spacious room. Decorating was a bit questionable - painted over lampshade and switches. Recommend booking for the adjacent restaurant - we walked in but couldn't get a seat as everything was reserved. Good value - a little more attention to detail on decoration would help.

Enjoyed the stay close to work commitments and staff very friendly

Loved the room and facilities, food was excellent. Would've liked the wardrobe and mirror not so near the door as it was freezing. A change of buses to travel anywhere was needed but uber was the solution.

The weather was wintery when we travelled and arrived at The Bowman by Greene King Inns in Nottingham. There was no one in the small reception, but a notice directed us to the pub just over the carpark. Once we had booked in we were given directions to our room. It was located through an outside courtyard and up some outdoor stairs it was on the first floor ( No. 34) The room was warm when we arrived 23 degrees, plenty hot water, white towels, clean bedding and room. Bath with over the bath shower, iron/ironing board, tea/ coffee facilities, although no hotel telephone. The only issue we had was the heating in the room dropped to 16 degrees later that night, we thought it was on a timer and temperature controlled by the hotel. We intended to speak to the receptionist when we went out that morning, but no one on reception. We spoke to one of the cleaners when we returned after lunch. She advised the temperature could be overrode on the controls in the bedroom. We tried without success to increase the temperature, so when we went out about 4.15pm we were going to speak to someone on reception but it was closed again. We mentioned the problem to the receptionist when we checked out the next morning, so they could have the heating looked at. She advised we should have rang and they would have brought a portable heater. Nice place to stay in warmer weather. Ensure if your mobility isn’t good to get a downstairs room.

Bathroom door would not shut panel on bath was a disgrace went for breakfast there terrible food was cold coffee was cold I went for dinner food was bad cold chips never went back next day for meals went up to town and had my meals there . I don't like moaning but that must be the worst hotels iv ever been at..Won't be back

The steak should have been well done but was almost was almost cremated. The fish and chips was over cooked .morning breakfast was average best however staff were good . Good entertainment on Thursday night with quize .

The breakfast was terrible for numerous reasons so go elsewhere The room was perfect however a previous guest had smoked in the room so it smelled.

The welcome was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, although a little tired. The bath was quite sloppy when taking a shower, but fine. The bed was a little firm but again, adequate. Evening food was in the Bowman was good but the breakfast was wonderful. Set us up for the day, with everything cooked fresh and quality ingredients. Second time staying here and standards remain the same. Will certainly be ack again.
