Wow- this place is amazing! Very spacious accommodations and super clean. 10+\10. Very affordable- very suitable for a family, short or long stay, and pets are welcome. Excellent workout facility and lounge area perfect for a gathering of any size.

Room very clean. Loved the convenience of being able to walk from room straight on to patio with pool, grass areas, and sitting areas. Workout facility very nice also.

Very nice and clean accommodations. Nice place to relax between appointments at Mayo clinic. Energy and environmentally conscious building. Shuttle service was prompt and reliable. Will definitely stay here again.

Very clean and quiet property. Free shuttle to Mayo clinic is available numerous times daily. They have a small shop with food and drinks. There's a great restaurant attached. The fitness and lounging areas are amazing.

Mayo visit, very relaxing location. This is next to Mayo St Mary’s Hospital. The parking was temperature controlled, the weather was -10, so this was a bonus. We used a shuttle to get to Mayo building, the shuttle is extremely busy after 3pm. There was quite a wait. The room was roomy, laundry, large bathroom with tub, we were on floor 6. We will go there on our next visit.

We have stayed at the Berkman several times and it's always been a wonderful experience!! The concierge service has always been so responsive and helpful, bringing us everything we need promptly! Our apartment is always very clean and comfortable. We always choose it when we are in Rochester!!

The rooms were exceptionally clean and tidy. It was also nice and quiet. The only drawback concerned the dog wash area - it seemed to hold the smell of dog for an extended period of time in the hallway be the elevators.

We came for an outpatient surgery at Mayo hospital across the street. We did have a few issues working with the television remote control which were partially addressed. The did not have the tea and cookies in the room as promised. They don’t put decaffeinated coffee in the room, we went to the front desk for some the first night, he said he’d bring some up. They did not bring any, we called the next morning and it was brought right up with apologies. The bed was advertised as pillow top with premium bedding, it was a very uncomfortable platform bed, and no extra blankets in the room. The kitchen is extremely well appointed with everything necessary. Nice to have a washer and dryer in the room as well. There was only one comfortable chair to relax and watch television and there were two adults in the room. We really did enjoy the fact that the rooms were so soundproofed. The housekeeper forgot to clean under the kitchen island and we found cough drop wrappers underneath it.

The studio apartments are too small for anything but a single chair if you want to watch tv. I moved into a much much better 1 bedroom unit. It was spacious and quite satisfactory. This building is used as a residential building, and for short term stays. there are no internal restaurants that are available for breakfast. In fact, the restaurants that are within walking distance of a couple of blocks your options are bars, bars, and bars. Don't be confused about the location of this building in the Mayo Clinic, most of the appointments at Mayo are held in the condo building in Mayo building which are over a mile away the Mayo I'm building directly across the street is I believe mostly for pediatric cases. I was in Rochester to go to the mayo clinic. I didn't realize that I would actually be taking shuttles to the clinic for all of my appointments to Mayo clinic is quite large, short term, renting at the Berkman may or may not be as convenient as some of the hotels right at the mayo clinic.

There are good and bad things about the Berkman. The property is visually attractive with a clean, contemporary style. Unfortunately the furniture was extremely uncomfortable. It was impossible to sit and watch TV on the couch, it was like sitting on bleachers in a high school gymnasium. The bed was also hard and uncomfortable with flat pillows. This was our second, and last, stay at Berkman. We will go back to Staybridge Suites on Commerce for future Mayo visits. There were many positives, however. The bathroom was roomy with lots of towels and a nice, deep tub (may be difficult for those with mobility issues). The kitchen was a large, full kitchen with dishes, silverware, etc. The parking garage is best suited for those with compact cars as exiting the garage was challenging every time. The free shuttle back and forth to Mayo worked very well.

A/C issues Room did not stay cool. Had problems sleeping at night. Bathtub: It was difficult getting in and out due to the height of the tub. I do not have any medical issues that prevent mobility. Upon getting out, I fell. Mattress: It felt like I was sleeping on a box spring mattress. Upon arrival: I arrived earlier than expected. As a result, I waited in the lobby for 4 hours. There was poor communication from the front desk when room would be ready. I was told just to wait in the lobby. Not sure what VIP means, but was lacking overall experience.

Great stay at The Berkman. Convenient to St Mary's. The rooms are incredibly spacious and have very adequate amenities. They are working out a few sound issues (as the property is newly renovated). If you're sensitive to sounds ask the concierge for assistance. The concierge proactively addressed the issue and moved /upgraded my room. For this reason I'm giving an overall 5 stars, without that customer service the HVAC sound would have reduced my rating to a 3 (or less).

You can comfortably control the temperature to suit your needs. The environment is tranquil and soothing, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The Mayo Clinic for surgery and inpatient care is thoughtfully located away from the road for added tranquility. If you wish to visit the main hospital, convenient shuttles run throughout the day. The staff at the concierge desk is consistently exceptional, which is one of the reasons I chose this hotel—it truly feels welcoming and caring.
You can comfortably control the temperature to suit your needs. The environment is tranquil and soothing, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Noone at the desk for checkin and was charged for parking although I was told it was free. Nice suite but bed was just so-so. Loved the patio! Great VIP area with pool. Great location!

We have stayed at the Berkman several times and it's always been a wonderful experience!! The concierge service has always been so responsive and helpful, bringing us everything we need promptly! Our apartment is always very clean and comfortable. We always choose it when we are in Rochester!!

A/C issues Room did not stay cool. Had problems sleeping at night. Bathtub: It was difficult getting in and out due to the height of the tub. I do not have any medical issues that prevent mobility. Upon getting out, I fell. Mattress: It felt like I was sleeping on a box spring mattress. Upon arrival: I arrived earlier than expected. As a result, I waited in the lobby for 4 hours. There was poor communication from the front desk when room would be ready. I was told just to wait in the lobby. Not sure what VIP means, but was lacking overall experience.

Location and staff were very good. Where my expectations were let down: I didn't know how to make the drip coffee and we only had one whole bean packet..no tea. The literature about amenities and cable guide was outdated/incorrect. The 4th floor space was never stocked with coffee. The sitting chairs in the room were not at all comfortable. Glad I only had a two day stay.

We visited our daughter who lives in the same building and found it the ideal place to stay. Nice running trail nearby and easy uber to coffee shops and restaurants. Will return for sure.

We had a short stay, but the convenience to walking across the street to the Mayo Hospital was definitely a bonus. Everything you need is right there, a restaurant or a few groceries from the pantry to cook yourself in the full kitchen! Very nice place, we highly recommend!

This property is directly across from Mayo's St. Mary Campus. I chose it for proximity to Cardiac care, for an extended stay for a family member's surgery. The location is excellent for walking to and from the hospital. The area is well lit and safe at all hours. There is a great natural food grocery 4 blocks from the facility. The guest suite room had everything I needed plus the luxury of laundry, and a fully stocked kitchen. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. I appreciated the common area's Zoom rooms for private meetings, and comfortable places to work. The fitness facility is large with ample equipment. I had to extend my stay due to surgery schedule. I appreciated Berkman staff facilitating the change and making lodging stress free at a stressful time for my family. Overall I was amazed by the value Berkman offers compared to surrounding hotels. Berkman will be my first choice when I travel to Rochester/Mayo for future healthcare needs.

Mayo visit, very relaxing location. This is next to Mayo St Mary’s Hospital. The parking was temperature controlled, the weather was -10, so this was a bonus. We used a shuttle to get to Mayo building, the shuttle is extremely busy after 3pm. There was quite a wait. The room was roomy, laundry, large bathroom with tub, we were on floor 6. We will go there on our next visit.

The studio apartments are too small for anything but a single chair if you want to watch tv. I moved into a much much better 1 bedroom unit. It was spacious and quite satisfactory. This building is used as a residential building, and for short term stays. there are no internal restaurants that are available for breakfast. In fact, the restaurants that are within walking distance of a couple of blocks your options are bars, bars, and bars. Don't be confused about the location of this building in the Mayo Clinic, most of the appointments at Mayo are held in the condo building in Mayo building which are over a mile away the Mayo I'm building directly across the street is I believe mostly for pediatric cases. I was in Rochester to go to the mayo clinic. I didn't realize that I would actually be taking shuttles to the clinic for all of my appointments to Mayo clinic is quite large, short term, renting at the Berkman may or may not be as convenient as some of the hotels right at the mayo clinic.

As a matter solo blind patient of the Mayo Cinic, Rochester, this property although a little pricey is far superior than most. It is both charming and elegant at the same time without feeling clinical being so close to the St. Mary’s Campus. It was great to get good food from the Red Cow and we also ordered from Waiter’s Express and enjoyed wonderful food from several other local restaurants.

Great architecture and beautiful facility. The one thing I did not like was that the restaurant and bar were closed on Monday. With as many people going to the Mayo Clinic I found this to be very odd

Amazing place. We were actually staying here to visit caves up to an hour away and I’m so glad we just did the extra driving and stayed here!!! Outdoor pool was great and so was the restaurant the Red Cow

Very clean and quiet property. Free shuttle to Mayo clinic is available numerous times daily. They have a small shop with food and drinks. There's a great restaurant attached. The fitness and lounging areas are amazing.

We liked the proximity to St Mary’s . For what they charge for a nights stay you’d would think parking would be included. The bed was terrible, I had such a back ache , the Doctors at St Mary’s had to give me some pain medication before my procedure even started. Room reminded me of a hotel room I had in Saigon 60 years ago. The interior just seemed cold . With that being said, I don’t think we would Book with them again.

The kitchen setup and laundry setup was excellent. The bathroom vent fan did not operate. The 2 chair setup for television viewing was small and uncomfortable. As well as there was no setup for a cup of coffee while watching tv. The location of television and the limited wall cable length restricted the ability to position the tv screen to enable viewing from the bed. The bed mattress was very firm. The location of the hotel to the hospital is excellent.
