This was a really cute place to stay! It isn’t going to be for everyone if you want fancy amenities but it was clean, comfortable and had everything you need. The best part of it was seeing all the wildlife! We saw a manatee, so many types of cool birds including pelicans that were close enough to touch and fish. The Hurricane Hole’s food is delicious! There is a kayak rental place right on the property as well where you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, etc. Really cool place for active families! If you have little children or people who need accessibility know that everything is along a dock pathway that doesn’t have railings if that is something that will worry you. Really fun adventure!

This property is located at a local working marina that fishing charters leave from. They clean their catch right on the dock down from the houseboat. There was a fishy smell most of the time. That did not bother us because we knew where it came from. Daily my 4 year old grandson got to see sharks, jelly fish and pelicans in the harbor! We also spotted manatee several days. They would swim right off the porch of our unit! Boat rental and other water sport rentals was on the dock connected to the units. We would stay here again.

My wife and I had an absolute blast staying here!!!! The Tarpon and manatees were awesome to watch. Very convenient having the restaurant and GTS Outfitters store on site. Wish the store stayed open a little bit later. The restaurant cooked our catch for us and it was amazing. We are already starting to save up so we can return sooner than later!!!

If staying in a houseboat overnight is on your bucket list, then you will enjoy it. I liked everything but the parking. Restaurant gets a lot of customers, and I had a lot of trouble finding a spot. Also, parking lot needs to be paved. Muddy when it rains. No regrets!

This was such a great spot! Convenient for anyone who wants boating / water activities and no parking issues like downtown. The restaurant was excellent as well! A must do while in Key West!

Just like the pictures! It was so cool staying in a houseboat! We enjoyed the patio area, restaurant was great (happy hour 3-6) with playground ship area. Was able to see jellyfish, tarpoon, and nurse sharks! Big enough for our family of 6 with 3 beds and a fold out couch!

This property is amazing for the price. Be warned the sleeping loft may only be safe for children as the overhead room was minimal. The restaurant on site was fantastic, the staff super friendly and it was easy to get an Uber anywhere. If you choose to rent a car there is plenty of parking on site. One review we read complained about the noise of a working marine. We heard none. Overall a great place to stay. FYI. If you have any mobility issues let them know. Most boats have a ramp but a few do not.

This was a different and overall positive experience. Everything went well, and when we had an issue with the toilet, it was fixed immediately, which I really appreciated. Parking can be a problem — one night we had nowhere to leave the car because there were no available spaces. Overall, I liked the place. Just a heads-up: there’s no soap or shampoo provided, so bring your own.

Awesome place, with a cool location right near the mangroves. Has a little restaurant and bar and gift shop, as well as kayak tours and rentals. Paddle boards too. We liked the visits from the manatees and nurse sharks near the fish cleaning station. Only negatives I have are that the ceiling fan chains were broken and harder to reach, some of the pillows were a bit yellowish and have seen better days and multiple devices like the Air conditioner and TV remotes batteries were dead, but they delivered new ones promptly! Would love to stay here again some day with my family, the boat easily slept 6 people, but there were only two of us this time.

The shower curtain had black mold all over it. So much so that it made the entire bathroom stink and unbearable. It was so disgusting that I will never stay at this property again. It doesn’t take much to just replace a shower curtain. Would have gone a long way had someone been paying attention while cleaning the unit and just replaced the shower curtain. So gross. Also, our neighbors on each side were smoking and totally ruined our time sitting on the deck. Thought this was a non- smoking property.

There was absolutely no water pressure for showering. Pretty much had to splash the water onto yourself as it just ran down the wall from the spout. German cockroaches were in the kitchenette area

It was something different so I thought I would give it a try. It wasn’t horrible but I definitely would not stay again. Dusty, uncomfortable bedding and pillows, water pressure in the shower was worse than the faucets, very small body towels, had glass plates and cups but no place to dry or a towel to dry them. It’s a similar experience to camping.

This was a great stay. It was a small houseboat but it was very roomy and clean. There is a restaurant on site as well as a bar. It was easy to check in and everybody we dealt with was so friendly. There are a lot of things to see and do in the area. We will definitely go there again.

Got very timely and accurate communications from the property manager. No problem "checking in" with lockbox, etc. The space was just as advertised - beds were very comfortable and clean, plenty of towels in the bathroom, A/C kept the space at a comfortable temperature. The listing did give a heads up about the noise level (since it's sitting in a working marina with lots of boats and fishermen in and out!), overall the noise level was just fine / not a problem (and very quiet during the "quiet hours"! The only issue we had was bugs. Didn't see any the first day we checked in. We did not eat any meals or drink anything other than water in the room - but, the second day when we came back from being away most of the day, there were several bugs (perhaps 8-10) in the sink in the kitchen. They scurried into the space BEHIND the counter/sink - so likely needs some bug control in the sink area!

The location of our house was moved and was near the incoming of the other boats. Was constant moving of our boathouse. The lights outside at the restaurant and patio were left on all night. Window coverings were poor mini blinds allowing light into the house all night. A dumpster was near the walkway and was stinky. The mattresses were thin and hard, with very thin bed quilts. Couch was very uncomfortable.

Location is very relaxing. Located close to Key West for easy access, yet nice to be out of the commotion of Key West when you are done with the Duval Crawl. Amenities on the house boat are fine. Shower is a little small if you are a tall person. The boat we had, #3 the stove top would not heat up. We had planned to fix breakfast on the boat to save money. However we could not due to the stove not working. They tried to fix but could not. There is a bar/restaurant on site, they are open for lunch and diner. They do not have live music. If you fish you can bring your own boat or book a charter. Still debating if we would stay here again. Still debating if we would stay here again.

Right next to busy highway. Had everything you need but not much extra. Beds were comfortable. A/C is a bother with part of the place very cold and part very hot. Unique with being on water. Basically, it is a tiny house.

The boat was nice. The second bed is located in a loft, which we could not get into. Not much headroom for the loft bed. Would be good for a kid. The shower is a bit small and could be a challenge for a taller/bigger person. The marina is quiet, but the main road can be a bit loud. Getting to Key West from the marina takes a bit to get turned around. Found it was better to go up a couple of streets and make a couple of rights to get back to the traffic light. The restaurant has good food. All outdoor seating.

We were excited at the idea of a houseboat.That did not last. When we arrived, the inside was hot even with the AC running. The first night's sleep was rough. It was hot so at 2 am I was online looking for alternate lodging. Also, the neighbors were very loud. You can hear the noise in your neighbors' boats. The main bedroom had cooled off a little by morning so I didn't book other lodging. We left for the day and when we returned in the afternoon, the boat was too hot. It was unbearable. We packed our bags and went to another hotel. Not sure if the AC was broken bc it was running but not enough to keep up with the summer heat. The AC also doesn't reach the 2 bedroom area or the bathroom so one child slept on the sofa and the other just sweated it out. The bedroom areas are tight but the living room space is a good size. The sliding door was very hard to open and close. I don't recommend this place bc nothing like paying for 4 nights, using it for one, and then having to pay for another hotel for another 3 nights. I didn't contact the owner bc their email didn't list an address but had dashes. Also, it was too incredibly hot to wait for any repair service.

First I want to say the management and staff are excellent. One of our window AC units did not cool. No excuse was made. The manager went to the store and purchased a new unit, and installed it immediately. ( I have been to other places that did not offer this service). Next, just be aware that the picture of these units on the internet is not how they are positioned. They are lined up at the dock in a single file. If you are in Unit 1, you have a good view on 3 sides while sitting on the deck. Unit 2, 3, and 4, the only view is the back of the next unit unless you turn your chair to face the water, and 2 chairs will not fit comfortably. Unit 5, you will have sides to view.

Needs blackout curtains in bedrooms. Between the dock lights and sun rising at 6:00am it was difficult to sleep. Restaurant nearby at the marina had great food. Extra or thicker towels would have been nice. It was clean and quiet.

Fun experience. Houseboat had limited amenities - I would not recommend for large groups. As and example - Although it was advertised as a max if 6 people, there were only three forks. No hairdryer. Loved being on the lagoon. There are not two bedrooms - one bedroom And one very low ceiling loft.

They responded quickly and with friendliness whenever we called with questions and requests. The houseboat was perfect and being on the water so quiet. The restaurant and bar Hurricane hole in walking distance had great food and drinks .

Excellent! Weekend getaway with my teenage son. Check in was very easy and the host, Pam was there to greet us. This hidden gem has it all. The boat house was very comfortable and clean. Golf carts available to rent for your 5 minute drive to Duval. This place is perfectly situated for rest and relaxation and bar hopping, shopping, dining and excursions. Excellent! Weekend getaway with my teenage son. Check in was very easy and the host, Pam was there to greet us. This hidden gem has it all. The boat house was very comfortable and clean. Got very timely and accurate communications from the property manager. No problem "checking in" with lockbox, etc. The space was just as advertised - beds were very comfortable and clean, plenty of towels in the bathroom, A/C kept the space at a comfortable temperature. The listing did give a heads up about the noise level (since it's sitting in a working marina with lots of boats and fishermen in and out!), overall the noise level was just fine / not a problem (and very quiet during the "quiet hours"! The only issue we had was bugs. Didn't see any the first day we checked in. We did not eat any meals or drink anything other than water in the room - but, the second day when we came back from being away most of the day, there were several bugs (perhaps 8-10) in the sink in the kitchen. They scurried into the space BEHIND the counter/sink - so likely needs some bug control in the sink area!

First I want to say the management and staff are excellent. One of our window AC units did not cool. No excuse was made. The manager went to the store and purchased a new unit, and installed it immediately. ( I have been to other places that did not offer this service). Next, just be aware that the picture of these units on the internet is not how they are positioned. They are lined up at the dock in a single file. If you are in Unit 1, you have a good view on 3 sides while sitting on the deck. Unit 2, 3, and 4, the only view is the back of the next unit unless you turn your chair to face the water, and 2 chairs will not fit comfortably. Unit 5, you will have sides to view.

The house boat was nice. Was disappointed the location of the boat .The boat was moved to the other dock and we were very close to our neighbors and the tiki bar.when I made reservations the boats were back to back not side to side on the other side.The tv didn’t work for 2 days.They worked on the dock for 2 days was loud and very unsafe to walk on. We were going to leave after 2 days but after talking to Jose who was very nice and he brought us a fire stick for the tv we decided to stay. We made the best of it for 4nights and had fun.

This was a different and overall positive experience. Everything went well, and when we had an issue with the toilet, it was fixed immediately, which I really appreciated. Parking can be a problem — one night we had nowhere to leave the car because there were no available spaces. Overall, I liked the place. Just a heads-up: there’s no soap or shampoo provided, so bring your own.

Awesome place, with a cool location right near the mangroves. Has a little restaurant and bar and gift shop, as well as kayak tours and rentals. Paddle boards too. We liked the visits from the manatees and nurse sharks near the fish cleaning station. Only negatives I have are that the ceiling fan chains were broken and harder to reach, some of the pillows were a bit yellowish and have seen better days and multiple devices like the Air conditioner and TV remotes batteries were dead, but they delivered new ones promptly! Would love to stay here again some day with my family, the boat easily slept 6 people, but there were only two of us this time.

Right next to busy highway. Had everything you need but not much extra. Beds were comfortable. A/C is a bother with part of the place very cold and part very hot. Unique with being on water. Basically, it is a tiny house.

This is a unique opportunity to stay on a houseboat. It's right next to the highway and is part of a working marina so some noise, but really not too bad. Bar closes at 10 or 11pm...great food too! We loved the iguanas, birds and there are at least 6 resident nurse sharks at cleaning station and one day the manatees even came in!! Boat was very clean and us 3 older ladies felt safe the whole time. Highly recommend trying it!

This was a really cute place to stay! It isn’t going to be for everyone if you want fancy amenities but it was clean, comfortable and had everything you need. The best part of it was seeing all the wildlife! We saw a manatee, so many types of cool birds including pelicans that were close enough to touch and fish. The Hurricane Hole’s food is delicious! There is a kayak rental place right on the property as well where you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, etc. Really cool place for active families! If you have little children or people who need accessibility know that everything is along a dock pathway that doesn’t have railings if that is something that will worry you. Really fun adventure!

My wife and I had an absolute blast staying here!!!! The Tarpon and manatees were awesome to watch. Very convenient having the restaurant and GTS Outfitters store on site. Wish the store stayed open a little bit later. The restaurant cooked our catch for us and it was amazing. We are already starting to save up so we can return sooner than later!!!

This was a great stay. It was a small houseboat but it was very roomy and clean. There is a restaurant on site as well as a bar. It was easy to check in and everybody we dealt with was so friendly. There are a lot of things to see and do in the area. We will definitely go there again.

There were rude men on the dock ordering us around. They had nothing to do with our stay. The bar area was really cool and convenient however we didn't eat or drink there as we were totally ignored. We left and went to another place close by that had much better service. Too bad as we would have bellied up to that bar and ate and drank all day and night for the two days we spent there.

Just like the pictures! It was so cool staying in a houseboat! We enjoyed the patio area, restaurant was great (happy hour 3-6) with playground ship area. Was able to see jellyfish, tarpoon, and nurse sharks! Big enough for our family of 6 with 3 beds and a fold out couch!

This property is amazing for the price. Be warned the sleeping loft may only be safe for children as the overhead room was minimal. The restaurant on site was fantastic, the staff super friendly and it was easy to get an Uber anywhere. If you choose to rent a car there is plenty of parking on site. One review we read complained about the noise of a working marine. We heard none. Overall a great place to stay. FYI. If you have any mobility issues let them know. Most boats have a ramp but a few do not.

Loved our stay at Aqua Lodge during the last week of July 2026. Rooms were larger than anticipated, bathroom and shower full size and better than I thought (if you're a boater, you know what I mean). Location is fantastic. Only area Aqua Lodge could improve on is with regard to linens. Towels are extremely cheap, course, and very threadbare. Bed sheets and pillow cases are similar. Having said that, the units are professionally crafted floating hotel rooms mounted on pontoons. You have the option of tying your boat up alongside and having quick access to it. Truly enjoyed our stay at Aqua Lodge in Hurricane Hole Marina on Stock Island and will probably be back in the not too distant future.

The bathroom smelled a bit, but we loved the loft and the vibes of the houseboat. It’s hard to find 3 bedrooms at that reasonable price and we have 3 kids that do not want to sleep together so this was perfect. We ate at the bar and really enjoyed watching the jellyfish. It was a cool!
