The Lodge was beautiful and our villa very nice with good amenities. We had dinner at the Lodge both evenings and food quality was very good, though choices a bit limited. Check in staff was a bit curt, not warm. A pleasant surprise was a private cinema which we could book and we enjoyed a whole streamed movie after dinner. The stars were super brilliant. Overall, a very enjoyable visit.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. We stayed for 7 nights and it was amazing. The lodges are beautiful and maintained to the highest standards. Facilities are awesome, restaurant is awesome, staff are awesome and willing to help with literally anything. I asked if they were able to organise some flowers for my wife as we were on our honeymoon and they went above and beyond. Can't express how nice the place is, the cellar door and cheesery is also fantastic. Bike hire on site was also a massive tick of approval. 11/10, would stay ten times over.

There wasn't facilities to reheat food and the kettle was really small in terms of usage. The TV was really old and couldn't be used to access Netflix or any subscription channels. There was a in house cinema which could be booked at first come first serve basis and the complementary wine tasting was average at best

Gibbston Valley Lodge & Spa was without a doubt the best lodging experience that we had on our trip. The property is beautiful. The restaurants were delicious. The staff were delightful. We had been on the road for a few days, and the lodge was the perfect place for us to relax and recharge for the rest of our trip. We took a chance to use the hot pools and sauna which were convenient to schedule and private. We also enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting which provided great wine and a nice opportunity to meet some of the other guests at the lodge. If we find ourselves back on the South Island, we will be back to Gibbston Valley Lodge & Spa.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay, totally relaxing and serene. It was convenient walking over to the wine tasting and popping into the Cheesery and deli shop. The location was perfect for exploring the region and even better for returning to unwind in the evening. We enjoyed cozying up by the fire chatting and relaxing in our spacious room.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. We stayed for 7 nights and it was amazing. The lodges are beautiful and maintained to the highest standards. While the place is immaculate and the staff lovely it is located very close to a noisy road. It’s not a problem if you keep the window closed as the double glazing is very efficient but if you want to sit outside on the lovely deck it’s pretty annoying and not at all what we expected for a luxury vineyard escape.

The resort was wonderful with a spacious lodge, large and comfortable bed and bathroom. Great amenities. The wine tasting in the cellar was a lovely addition to the stay. The lodge is on the main highway however so the road noise is quite impactful when trying to relax on the verandah and even during the night.

Everything is perfect, every staff member is wonderful! We spent two nights with deep impressions. Clean and spacious room conditions, private hot tubs staring stars every night, delicious food, fabulous wines, and etc. One of the wonderful hotels in NZ!

It’s not a problem if you keep the window closed as the double glazing is very efficient but if you want to sit outside on the lovely deck it’s pretty annoying and not at all what we expected for a luxury vineyard escape.

What a superb place this is. From customer friendly staff throughout to the smallest details. Everything is carefully thought about, delivered to the highways standards, mindful of the environmental impact each service may have. Sustainable, tasty food, recycled products, nothing wasted without compromise on quality of product or service. We highly recommend Gibbston Valley. 10/10 all round.

We stayed for one night at Gibbston Valley and absolutely loved it. The accomodation is luxurious in a beautiful location, the food & wine was outstanding and the staff were so friendly and hospitable. Would love to come back!

After traveling for 22 days around NZ I chose this hotel to pamper myself. The staff was great, very attentive and helpful. Enjoyed the spa. Dinner 2 nights, food was absolutely delicious. Did wine tasting too. Very pleased I stayed here.
