Pier Hotel Clacton on Sea By OYO

The room was clean, large and well maintained. We were welcomed by a friendly lady (apologies i can not remember her name) even on our return in the evening we sat and spoke in the bar area. Great value for money and we would definitely return.

The OYO Pier Hotel is a lovely little hotel right next to the sea front The staff we interacted with were very friendly, pleasant, helpful and professional, The room was amazing very high spec and uniquely individually name, very clean and well looked after the only down side for me is it was advertised as parking available, something I always look for, but in fact there is only parking for 2 cars so I doubt any guest really get to use them, so I had to park around the corner in a public car park at my expense, also I could not see my car from the hotel and was very nervous about leaving my car there - also it was advertised as hairdryers are supplied with each room, but there was not one, much to my Wife's dismay, plus the area is very noisy for most of the night as local night clubs do not turn out until after 2am, if these three things do not concern you then this is a lovely hotel and highly recommended, although for me I will not stay there again because of car parking.

Really nice stay, internet was good, met Michelle the owner, nice lady, right where we needed to be,only one small complaint, and that was Becky, so really have to comment here, SHE WAS TO NICE, ha ha, a lovely sweet lady is Becky, she went out of her way to look after us, with parking etc. we really liked her, a credit to the hotel, thankyou Becky

Just wanted a night to visit family in the area. Website says parking which was not actually available. Note that after 3pm you can part on the sea front for 3 hours for free and is not restricted after 6pm so could leave overnight and get another 3 hours at 9am when starts again. Welcome was warm and friendly. Room was very small (Room 9) just bed and tiny bathroom. As on own having a really small room was not an issue as was clean. The big issue was no blind in room and no privacy and light waking me up early. Would not stay again.

We booked the hotel for one night. The lady who welcomed us was very nice and showed us to our room's. The room was clean. It had a shower/toilet. Tea , coffee and TV. It was adequate for our stay. Parking is a bit hit and miss. A little bit of noise from the bar's across the road. All in all, it was okay.

Very friendly, hospitable. Excellent room and totally enjoyed the outside space.

Homely feel, cosy, clean room with everything we needed. So close to beach, pier and shops making it the ideal place to stay and explore.

Owner was very friendly, position of hotel was close to all amenities, room very spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Could have done with a hairdryer and maybe a fridge for water. Enjoyed our stay

Property ws exactly as we expected for a one night stay. It was clean & comfortable, staff friendly & helpful.

Check in nullo (mi son state lasciate le chiavi e addio) check out peggio (non c'e posto dove lasciare le chiavi, tutto spento e chiuso.. pulizia nulla ( camera pulita 1 volta in 2 settimane) porte e pareti spesse come un foglio di carta, porta del bagno completamente imbarcata e non si chiude, finestra con serratura rotta che non si chiude.. camera davvero piccola!

The hotel keeper is nice and helpful. Besides, the room was clean and tidy.

Very comfortable bed and very nice and crisp bedding. I was put in a family room because the single room was very small

Took my partner for what was meant to be a relaxing night away. Paid 114 for a bridal suite but left about 10.30pm and went home stating i would appreciate a full refund as the noise was unbelievably loud leaving us unable to sleep. On checking in we were ahown to a room to be then told may not be the correct one. After taking our things back to the car we was called 30 mins later saying it was in fact the right room. A complete nightmare from start to finish...although staff were friendly!

The hotel is not expensive or luxurious, but it is clean, friendly, safe and very convenient. It is also efficiently run.

I made this reservation in December of 2023. My family and I flew from the US (first time abroad for us all) and were three hours away from checking in when we were told our reservation was cancelled. I can’t begin to describe the disappointment and frustration.

What can i say what a beautiful clean modern hotel inside becky was absolutely brilliant best 3 night stay ive had in a hotel we will be back soon x thanks for a great stay

My stay was good and the staff extremely accommodating. However, a storm front came through during my stay and being on the sea front. It was so loud in my room it felt like I was in a tent for most of the night. In the morning there where downed fences and significant storm debris on the beach. It may not seem a fair review as there's not much the owners can do about the weather but it significantly detracted from my stay and I left a night early due to the projected weather for the following night.

It was fine but loud given the bar across the street that stayed open until 3 am every night.
