Had a lovely visit at this home. Owners next door with shared garden. Charlie and Rob were so hospitable, with evening visits around the koi pond. My sister enjoyed her mornings sitting in the peaceful garden. The home itself was immaculate, with lovely decor and well appointed kitchen. Nice neighborhood with walking/bike path close by. Would definitely stay again.

The grounds of this property are almost bucolic in nature. We enjoyed relaxing outside by the pond after a day of touring in nearby Charleston. The host provided us with numerous suggestions on local sites and restaurants which we found very helpful. The unit is clean, beds are comfortable (a must), and the kitchen well equipped with up to date appliances. We would highly recommend this property and would absolutely consider staying here again.

I stayed in the property M-F. Extremely clean, comfortable, and well-kept property. Perfectly centralized location to downtown, beaches, etc, but not in a touristy area. Pictures don't do the wonderfully landscaped back yard justice. It's like a private botanical garden. The hosts were very friendly and top notch. This is the way a VRBO should be. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back.

Pictures will never do any place justice. This place is diamond in a gem mine. If you love wine, peace and quiet, easy accesss to everything, and if you so decide some other people to share wine as you sit under a beautifully lit naturescape, this is your place. Rob and Charlie really make you feel like your home away from home.

Owners did a great job curating the plants and decor for this peaceful little hideaway. The Koi pond is so relaxing. Very clean. Larger appliances are all up to date and modern. All streaming services were available. We had a great stay.

Absolutely beautiful well appointed newly built 2nd floor carriage house set in a unique lush landscape also designed by the owner. The layout: open, well furnished complete with great art, tasteful accessories, nice stemware and dishes. The articulated 10ft high tray/sloped ceilings and round bedroom window made the space feel extra special. Lots of daylight, dimmable recessed lighting, hardwood floors throughout. Outside, three distinct somewhat private feeling sitting areas, our favorite being by the pond with small waterfall and 20+ koi fish and happy turtle. -- a great way to unwind from the days' excursions. Neighborhood was very quiet and a short 20mins to the many historic sites downtown and around Charlston. To top it off, Charlie and Robert are the most gracious of hosts. I welcome the opportunity to stay with them again and experience more of the area soon!

Outstanding rental just minutes from downtown Charleston. Clean and well-equipped, with beautiful, relaxing yard and gardens with majestic oaks. Everything as advertised. Charlie and Rob are terrific hosts. Would gladly rent again. Highly recommended.

It's really hard to say which part we enjoyed the most about the Cottage at DuPont. The place was immaculately clean, and very well provisioned. It was the perfect distance from downtown. Not too close, not too far. The grounds surrounding the cottage are simply serene. I could have stared at the Koi pond for hours!! Just waiting for a glimpse of the elusive Toity was so relaxing!! I wish we had discovered Folly Beach earlier in the week, but that just means we'll need another trip.Our hosts, Charlie and Rob were very gracious, and a lot of fun to sit and chat with over a glass of wine. This was a terrific way to spend our anniversary week! There's so much to do and see in Charleston that another week or three would have been awesome!Thank you again Charlie and Rob. It was truly a memorable week!!

What a lovely, secluded cottage that offers both privacy and relaxation. The garden and Koi pond were a welcome oasis after a day of touring in Charleston. The owners were readily available throughout our stay and were both welcoming and accommodating. (we tried several of the restaurant recommendations and were not disappointed!)The cottage was prefect for 2 people for a get-away vacation. We certainly will return again.Thank you. Georgia and Dan

It was such a joy to stay here - The hosts are wonderful and very inviting, full of great conversation, and you can tell they really care about community and connecting with others. The space itself is gorgeous, both inside and out. It was very clean, the pond of koi and the turtle are a beautiful way to relax without going anywhere. It's a great location - quiet, yet not far from shops and things to do. We lived the ability to walk right over to the greenway for a nice run, and still be able to hop in the car for a quick 10min into the downtown area. We will absolutely be back to stay in the future - one of the best experiences we've had so far!Thanks Charlie!

This was our first time in Charleston and this property exceeded our expectations! It was very clean and provided all of the amenities that we could need. It was well kept and overall beautiful! The owners were also very welcoming and provided lots of fun recommendations to do around the area. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed in a beautifully remodeled apartment over the garage of the hosts. It was very clean and well-situated for everything that we wanted to do and see in the area. A car is necessary. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. We would stay again!

The cottage was a wonderful place to stay! It was clean as could be, roomy, and extremely quiet. Charlie was a gracious and informative host who communicated with us in a timely and clear way. He’s also warm and friendly and readily invited us to join him and Rob on their porch at the end of the day. The apartment is nicely equipped, the beds are really comfortable, and the yard is spectacularly beautiful. We would happily stay there again if we ever return to Charleston. We highly recommend their place!

We just enjoyed a 5-night stay at this true oasis near downtown Charlestown. The apartment is even lovelier than in the images and the koi pond and garden are enchanting. Charlie and Rob were welcoming and very helpful with interesting suggestions for places to visit and dine. They are delightful to spend time with. We wish them well.

We spent a week at Rob and Charlie's incredible carriage house on a park-like property in West Ashley. We had a rental car and loved the quiet location close to downtown Charleston but also close to historic sites like Middleton Place. Charlie and Rob were amazing hosts....so welcoming, gracious and helpful. The apartment is clean, spacious and tastfully decorated with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. I definitely recommend this rental!

Cottage is lovely, clean and well-stocked. All the amenities you need for a home away from home. The outdoor space is the perfect oasis for relaxing, reading, morning coffee and evening drinks. Two queen beds, big TV, spacious well appointed kitchen and living area. West Ashley location is an easy ride into Charleston and very close to so many activities ( golf, shopping, plantations, & surrounding beaches and islands) Close to many excellent restaurants that you don't even have to travel into Charleston for great food ( although you should). And if all that isn't enough, our hosts Rob & Charlie are what made our stay so relaxing, informative and a place we can't wait to revisit.

This place is really quite exceptional. It is a very roomy comfortable place. The hosts couldn't be more inviting. It has a beautiful yard with a swing and koi pond. Definently would be our first choice if we return to Charleston.

Charlie and Rob have created a beautiful oasis of calm and comfort in West Ashley, (Charleston). The loft itself is wonderfully appointed and tastefully designed. The freshly ground coffee was delicious, as was the choice of wines, already in the wine rack. We enjoyed staying in this beautiful cottage above the garage. It was spacious, comfortable, and convenient. The backyard was lovely with the pond and attractive landscaping. Charlie and Rob were very personable and pleasant in all interactions. We would stay here again and would recommend it to our friends.

We spent a very cold Christmas here thanks to Storm Elliott. It was close to family and a perfect location to explore Charleston. The owners were on the property so they quickly responded to our every need. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone..

We were met at check-in by the wonderful owners. They thought of every detail to make our stay welcoming and comfortable. Everything we needed was there for us including freshly ground coffee! The place is immaculate, well lit and includes access to beautiful gardens and pond. The owners, Charlie and Rob, could not have been more gracious and helpful. They are a wealth of information about the area. We hope to return one day! Highly recommend!

If you’re planning a stay in the Charleston area, we highly recommend staying here! It’s 15 minutes from the airport and only a 20-30 minute drive from some of the must-see locations, such as the aquarium, famous plantations, Fort Sumter Visitor Center and close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. Our hosts were cordial and welcoming, and the home was in pristine condition. Charleston is a lovely city with so much history. Make sure you take one of the horse-drawn carriage tours!

One of the best VRBO's we have rented over numerous years. Property description was spot on, location was fantastic, hosts were very friendly and looked out for your best interest and provided great restaurant recommendations. Definitely would rent here again. If you bike - the greenway is one block away!

The cottage was a wonderful place to stay! It was clean as could be, roomy, and extremely quiet. Charlie was a gracious and informative host who communicated with us in a timely and clear way. He’s also warm and friendly and readily invited us to join him and Rob on their porch at the end of the day. The apartment is nicely equipped, the beds are really comfortable, and the yard is spectacularly beautiful. We would happily stay there again if we ever return to Charleston. We highly recommend their place!

The location was perfect—peaceful and quiet, yet conveniently close to everything I wanted to explore. The hosts and the property are truly one-of-a-kind! We instantly felt welcomed. Our hosts were warm, attentive, & familiar. The property was truly an oasis and well-loved. Just being in the garden felt resort-like. The carriage house apartment was efficient and well-appointed. As owners of our own VRBO property; We well appreciate the love, care, and labor of this “slice of heaven”. We will be raving about this place for a long time to come and would definitely return, on our next trip to Charleston!!!!!!!!!! Sincere thanks to our hosts.

Charlie and Rob have created a beautiful oasis of calm and comfort in West Ashley, (Charleston). The loft itself is wonderfully appointed and tastefully designed. The freshly ground coffee was delicious, as was the choice of wines, already in the wine rack. Our hosts were delightful company; relaxing with them at the koi pond was the perfect way to wind down after a long day exploring downtown Charleston. We loved their suggestions for restaurants and historic sites.Highly recommended!!

This cottage is outstanding and the grounds are wonderful! The location is great and very convenient to the city. Many key attractions easily within 20 minutes to half hour.

We spent a week at Rob and Charlie's incredible carriage house on a park-like property in West Ashley. We had a rental car and loved the quiet location close to downtown Charleston but also close to historic sites like Middleton Place. Charlie and Rob were amazing hosts....so welcoming, gracious and helpful. The apartment is clean, spacious and tastfully decorated with a well equipped kitchen and bathroom. I definitely recommend this rental!

A private apartment in a beautiful garden just 20 minutes from downtown Charleston and the airport. The hosts are charming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Please just be aware you are on the second floor for carrying luggage.We would return anytime we’re in Charleston!

I stayed in the property M-F. Extremely clean, comfortable, and well-kept property. Perfectly centralized location to downtown, beaches, etc, but not in a touristy area. Pictures don't do the wonderfully landscaped back yard justice. It's like a private botanical garden. The hosts were very friendly and top notch. This is the way a VRBO should be. Highly recommended, and I will definitely be back.

I loved the apartment and the gorgeous park like setting. Place is close to downtown Charleston and the West Ashley greenway. Charlie and Rob were great to communicate with and the check in process was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again when I’m CHS!!

It's really hard to say which part we enjoyed the most about the Cottage at DuPont. The place was immaculately clean, and very well provisioned. It was the perfect distance from downtown. Not too close, not too far. The grounds surrounding the cottage are simply serene. I could have stared at the Koi pond for hours!! Just waiting for a glimpse of the elusive Toity was so relaxing!! I wish we had discovered Folly Beach earlier in the week, but that just means we'll need another trip.Our hosts, Charlie and Rob were very gracious, and a lot of fun to sit and chat with over a glass of wine. This was a terrific way to spend our anniversary week! There's so much to do and see in Charleston that another week or three would have been awesome!Thank you again Charlie and Rob. It was truly a memorable week!!

This delightful cottage experience is convenient (15-20 minutes) from almost all that the greater Charleston area has to offer including dowtown, Folley Beach and a number of Plantation and other historical venues. The attention to detail the hosts have went to in creating a unique apartment and garden to enjoy is remarkable. The garden is filled with shrubs, trees and plantings of countless variety blended together as a work of art featuring a koi pond near the center. While upstairs the apartment features privacy and peace and quiet with interesting decor and architectural features--with a comfortable bed, in a good sized bedroom high quality linens, dual sink bathroom and a well equipped kitchen flowing into a living room and dining area. Views of the garden from two walls of the apartment including into the upper branches of a large tree! The hosts are as available as you wish, and their recommendations that we followed for dining were spot on.

Charlie was a very nice host and very communicative throughout our stay. The biggest downside is the lack of privacy. The rental is a guesthouse above the owner’s garage. I don’t think the listing does a great job at portraying that. The listing mentions multiple times “privacy.” However, you share a backyard with the owners. The two properties are on top of each other. The inside was neatly decorated and clean for the most part. There were stains on the sheets and some towels were stained as well. I don’t think I would stay here again. It is very reasonable priced, and the location is ok. Not too far from downtown Charleston, and close to the airport which is very nice.

Perfect home base for getting around the Charleston area, just far enough from the downtown fray yet only a few miles in for when you want that downtown vibe. Spacious and clean upstairs unit with plenty of privacy, easy parking and easy access through the park-like yard. Good size bathroom with extra towels. Very large bedroom. Charlie and Rob are the warmest of hosts and super responsive. Great stay!
