Tuscan house, exclusive pool, private garden

Casa Melograno is a beautiful old stone cottage surrounded by nature and is about an hour’s drive from Pisa airport. The views are truly stunning and the swimming pool area is a sun trap and perfect for relaxing. All you can hear is the sound of birds singing and I’ve never seen so many swallows flying around, they would swoop down and briefly dip their wings in the pool, it was lovely to watch. The house has all essentials that you need (soap, shampoo, dishwasher tablets, pepper, olive oil etc).Communication with Luca was very good, as was check in/check out. As there was nobody arriving on our last day, he was even kind enough to let us have a late check out.The drive up to the house is indeed very steep but it is worth it, just for the views alone!

Charming, captivating, relaxing, speechless. It’s hard to pick the right adjective to describe this cottage chalet getaway. It’s a quiet escape from the craziness of Tuscany but the ride is worth the reward. Nestled into the mountain op in an olive grove, you have everything you need, including your own pool and sunsets over the alpines across the valley. Even the uphill climb from the road is an adventure! Don’t forget to honk!

We had a lovely time. The house has everything you need. The location is quiet and peaceful. The vegetation that surrounds it is lovely. The pool is great we enjoyed being able to relax by the pool. Luca and Lisa were very good at providing updates and being quick to reply to our queries. Thank you

The property is a lovely old stone cottage and really is tucked away, very private & with lots of outside space. It has a well equipped kitchen & a welcome coffee machine, which you can buy additional pods for when visiting Lucca. The pool and parking areas are accessed via a number of steps so would recommend this to people who do not have mobility issues. The driveway is fine, you just have to take your time the first couple of meters where the driveway meets the roadway. Our driveway at home is much worse!! Communication with the owner was very good & he provided helpful directions to find the property & there was a bottle of wine awaiting us. Tip - take some provisions with you for your first meal/ few hours as it is a trek to the little supermarket in Bagni di Lucca. The pizzeria in Benabbio is well worth a visit, open for good from 7pm. The interior has been decorated since the photos you will find online & it’s really pleasant. Huge range of pizzas, primi & secondi dishes. Excellent quality & so reasonably priced. The house wine is a Sangiovese & is really good. I would recommend this property & the area.

Semplicemente fantastico!!Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft, absolut ruhig gelegen und gut zu erreichen. Man hat vor Ort alles was man für einen tollen Urlaub benötigt und ehrlicherweise noch viel mehr! Der Garten ist groß, der Pool noch größer und der Outdoor Küchenbereich lädt quasi zum gemeinsamen Kochen im Freien ein. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und kommen sehr, sehr gerne wieder. Ebenso ist alles was man zum Leben braucht nur ca. 10 Autominuten entfernt und Ausflugsziele wie Lucca, Pisa und Florenz sind für einen satten Tagesausflug nicht all zu weit entfernt.Besonders toll fanden wir auch die Kommunikation und Gastfreundschaft von Luca & Lisa. Stets um unser Wohl bedacht und jederzeit bei Fragen erreichbar.
