There is so much to love about this absolutely, charming cabin. It was exactly as pictured, with two walls of windows looking out across the farmland and gardens. I must have said, “this is so gorgeous” a dozen times. Truly the perfect setting to unwind and fully appreciate the beauty and solitude. The gracious host came out to welcome us upon our arrival despite it being dark and pouring rain. The cabin was spotless, very comfortable with nice furnishings, and nothing was left out down to the smallest of details. From fresh flowers on the table, to fascinating books on Skagit Valley history, to bird feeders out the window, everything was so thoughtfully planned. There was even a pair of binoculars, which we took with us along our walk on the levee, and were rewarded with close-up views of a bald eagle. It was more than a cabin; it was an experience. I will fondly remember this beautiful cabin, and gracious host. Given the opportunity, I would return in a heartbeat.

Wow!! That's what we said as we turned down the tree lined driveway. Don and George didn't leave out a thing. Forget something, they had it. Property is gorgeous and worth exploring several times a day. Each time i looked up in the tree's i saw a different bird house or other fun items hanging from branches. Like flowers? You will love the gardens. Wild bunny rabbits hang out near cabin, lots of birds and well trained chickens. Talked many times with owners. They are what we wish every VRBO host/s would be like. Interact with clients. We will be going back again. The area is great. Thank you

Delightfully cozy and decorated cabin, tucked into a serene slice of nature. We loved the indoors of the cabin but also thrived in the surrounding grounds. Plenty of great birdwatching and beautiful grounds. Excited to stay here again in other seasons to take in the beauty. The hosts had great suggestions and warmly welcomed us during our stay. Can’t wait to return!

This was such a beautiful oasis filled with amazing gardens, chickens, and bunnies hopping around. It was the perfect serene getaway we needed. Don was a perfect host and we plan to come back when we are back in the area. We would give more than 5 stars if we could because we loved it so much!

We had a lovely time at the cabin. I didn’t want to leave! Don and George have made such a lovely retreat on their property, surrounded by beautiful farmland. We were so happy sitting inside looking out the windows, watching the birds in the trees, and wandering outside to look at the surroundings and visit the chickens. While we didn’t indulge in many of the treats they left us, it sure put a smile on my face to find them. I hope to come stay here again!

This little cabin nestled amongst beautiful landscaping and plenty of wild birds to enjoy was the perfect place to relax and visit with friends in the area. Plus...getting to feed the chickens was a real treat. The space was neat, clean and outfitted with all one would need. Will absolutely stay again......Thank you Don!

The cabin was delightful, charming, and immaculate. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and very welcoming. I especially appreciated the bowl of goodies and the careful instructions so that we would know how to leave it. We would love to come back and get to spend more time here.

If you're ever headed to the PNW, make this Mount Vernon property a must-stay! The cottage was immaculate, with so many personal touches added for our comfort. Don has created a beautiful place to enjoy the spectacular Skagit Valley scenery and is in a good location to reach many favorite tourist points. We will be back!

My husband and I had a lovely stay in this cozy cabin! It was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with gorgeous views of the surrounding farmland. We appreciated the little touches, like the basket of snacks, extra toiletries in the bathroom, and candles in case the power went out. Don was a very gracious host, welcoming and helpful. We will definitely be back again!

Awesome place, awesome host. Pictures and reviews you see are all spot on. Communication before, during, and after was all great, the cabin was meticulously cleaned and cared for, and the location was peaceful and unique with easy access to many places of interest. If you are considering, do it!

Me and my family spent a few days here and it is such a homey place! It's a great location to see skagit valley and beyond. Such a beautiful place. The owner is very nice and has many great reccomendations of things to do and see on their website. Will be making a return trip in the future for sure!

This cabin so comfortable and well out-fitted. Don and George have thought of everything a guest might need or want. It has a beautiful view of the spacious and well-maintained yard and beyond that the golden wheat field and beyond that the tree-covered hills and finally, the mountains. It's quiet and private. We felt we could really relax there. Excellent location for exploring Mount Vernon and La Conner.

This cabin is absolutely perfect. Don, our host, has thought of everything we might need and some things we didn't even know we needed. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes, pots and pans, and utensils you'll need. There is a food pantry with a small assortment of items and a snack basket that is great. The wifi is fast! There is not tv or music player but the wifi is fast enough to stream movies or music on your tablet or phone. You won't really care about this since you'll be outside all day and playing boardgames in the evening. Be aware that there is a fairly steep flight of stairs to access the bedroom and additional sleeping nook. The bathroom and shower are just fine, again, many thoughtful items in case you've forgotten anything. The location of the cabin was perfect for us - we were there to see the migrating snow geese on Fir Island and you are staying in the cutest cabin on the island. We found the snow geese and we found the perfect place to stay. We'll be returning next year, following after the winter migration. Honestly, you will love this cabin.

Super cute little cabin. Remote, personal, and comfortable. The cabin is stocked with everything you might need. Nearby groceries are just 10 minutes away. My friend and I couldn’t stop raving about how cutesy and perfect this little cabin was!!

The gracious host came out to welcome us upon our arrival despite it being dark and pouring rain. The cabin was spotless, very comfortable with nice furnishings, and nothing was left out down to the smallest of details. From fresh flowers on the table, to fascinating books on Skagit Valley history, to bird feeders out the window, everything was so thoughtfully planned. There was even a pair of binoculars, which we took with us along our walk on the levee, and were rewarded with close-up views of a bald eagle. It was more than a cabin; it was an experience. I will fondly remember this beautiful cabin, and gracious host. Given the opportunity, I would return in a heartbeat.

Delightfully cozy and decorated cabin, tucked into a serene slice of nature. We loved the indoors of the cabin but also thrived in the surrounding grounds. Plenty of great birdwatching and beautiful grounds. Excited to stay here again in other seasons to take in the beauty. The hosts had great suggestions and warmly welcomed us during our stay. Can’t wait to return!

Awesome place, awesome host. Pictures and reviews you see are all spot on. Communication before, during, and after was all great, the cabin was meticulously cleaned and cared for, and the location was peaceful and unique with easy access to many places of interest. If you are considering, do it!

I highly recommend staying at the cabin. The hosts do everything they can to see to your comfort, and the location is marvelous. It's surrounded on three sides by fields and is blissfully quiet at night. You can see snow geese and trumpeter swans when they migrate through. And it's only a short drive to La Conner, Mount Vernon and the tulip fields.

This place was awesome! Every single detail throughout the cabin and property was so thoughtfully done and put in, its very apparent that Don & George take great pride in the place. We loved the coziness and comfort the cabin provided, as well as the suggestions for places to eat. We saw a beatiful sunrise and sunset. If we come back to Washington State, we will absolutely try to stay here again. Thank you Don!!

Me and my family spent a few days here and it is such a homey place! It's a great location to see skagit valley and beyond. Such a beautiful place. The owner is very nice and has many great reccomendations of things to do and see on their website. Will be making a return trip in the future for sure!

Everything we needed was there. The cabin is perfectly located in a quiet, restful place. It’s great for staying in during the Tulip Festival, and also in the fall for the beautiful autumn foliage. Don and George are great hosts.

I stayed at the cabin for four nights while working in Mt. Vernon. It is a wonderful, peaceful, quiet refuge to come home to. Beautiful vistas from the cabin and good walking nearby. Loved it. Have stayed before and will stay again!

If you're ever headed to the PNW, make this Mount Vernon property a must-stay! The cottage was immaculate, with so many personal touches added for our comfort. Don has created a beautiful place to enjoy the spectacular Skagit Valley scenery and is in a good location to reach many favorite tourist points. We will be back!

This cabin so comfortable and well out-fitted. Don and George have thought of everything a guest might need or want. It has a beautiful view of the spacious and well-maintained yard and beyond that the golden wheat field and beyond that the tree-covered hills and finally, the mountains. It's quiet and private. We felt we could really relax there. Excellent location for exploring Mount Vernon and La Conner.

This was our second stay at the property! All I can say is it was wonderful! Quiet peaceful setting, close to LaConner and all the really great restaurants. Such an amazing and beautiful place. I hate to share all these details because this place is booked constantly! I hope we can return for the third time soon!

This cabin is absolutely perfect. Don, our host, has thought of everything we might need and some things we didn't even know we needed. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the dishes, pots and pans, and utensils you'll need. There is a food pantry with a small assortment of items and a snack basket that is great. The wifi is fast! There is not tv or music player but the wifi is fast enough to stream movies or music on your tablet or phone. You won't really care about this since you'll be outside all day and playing boardgames in the evening. Be aware that there is a fairly steep flight of stairs to access the bedroom and additional sleeping nook. The bathroom and shower are just fine, again, many thoughtful items in case you've forgotten anything. The location of the cabin was perfect for us - we were there to see the migrating snow geese on Fir Island and you are staying in the cutest cabin on the island. We found the snow geese and we found the perfect place to stay. We'll be returning next year, following after the winter migration. Honestly, you will love this cabin.

Absolute perfection! We enjoyed our stay here immensely. Relaxing from the moment we arrived with fantastic views of the surrounding fields. Glorious sunshine. The cabin was delightful, charming, and immaculate. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and very welcoming. I especially appreciated the bowl of goodies and the careful instructions so that we would know how to leave it. We would love to come back and get to spend more time here.

My husband and I had a lovely stay in this cozy cabin! It was exceptionally clean and comfortable, with gorgeous views of the surrounding farmland.
