Liked: 1. the newly refurbished facility. Room was excellent, new and clean. Looked clean and smelled clean. No sign of mold or mildew. 2. Walk out onto the beach, wonderful. 3. Desk staff and bar area, great! Not so much: 1. $15.00 nightly parking fee, really! 2. Food, the best I could say is average. 3. Huge surprise; 'No business center'. Access to a printer was so complex it was not worth the effort. Some staff not even aware of where it was. Would I stay there again, absolutely! Bring food in or eat out. Now I know there is no business center I can work around it. Parking fee is still over the top and I believe a bit of an embarrassment to a facility so well rebuilt.

The checkin process and Front Desk help were very nice. The room was amazing and very clean. The restaurant needs better service. The wait times are long to get your food and there appeared to be only one cook in the kitchen as it is open to the customers so you can see there is only one cook. The bar seemed unorganized and short staffed. The biggest issue is the gate from the beach into the hotel. The tile is wet and full of sand and we saw many people slipping trying to get back inside the hotel. There needs to be waterproof mats on the tile. The "breakfast included" needs to be a buffet style or maybe less options if you are only going to have one cook. The private beach area was very nice, renting chairs was easy, although closing at 5pm seems early, especially on the weekends. I was told the rental company is not part of the hotel. Maybe they could run two shifts and provide chairs from sun up to sun down.

This was a last minute end of the season trip. The hotel was not that busy but the service was just ok. No one was overly friendly or extra nice. They did just what they had to. I did not like they did not service the rooms. The outside bar was not open and you had to go in to get anything. Because I was always wet I never did go get anything. Pool needed more umbrellas.

A nice hotel on the beach with all the amenities - pool, restaurant, market, etc. I also loved having the balcony looking out to the beach. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

The photos of this hotel are great; however the room should have been cleaner. The bathroom needed a deep cleaning and also a 1/2 gap under the door and could see daylight. Room was next to a maintenance room and was loud. I didn’t expect to 50/day for 2 chairs and an umbrella.

Hotel is very nice! Room was clean and comfy. Walk in shower was the nicest if seen in a hotel before. Beach service was $55 a day for 2 chairs and umbrella. Restaurant breakfast was good but we didn't try the lunch or dinner food. We enjoyed the pool and walking the beach at night!

Very nice place to stay in Fort Walton. Have stayed there many times. Don’t like the $15 parking fee. Wish coffee would be available longer in the mornings and maybe add fruit or a cookie. Hate that beach service is not included or at least a discount.

Pros: very clean, beautiful view of Gulf of America, friendly maid & comfy beds. Cons: slow elevator, expensive parking, unfriendly front desk staff, & loud music from attached restaurant. At nearly $500 a night, we wanted beach view to enjoy to sights and SOUNDS of the Gulf. We stayed 3 nights. 2 of the 3 nights they had music blasting from the restaurant below & we couldn’t even sit on balcony without our ears “bleeding” from obnoxious music. Why would you do that? After a long day of exploring the area, we wanted to relax on our balcony & enjoy the crashing of waves. Even tho the room was nice, we won’t be back because of the loud music and expensive parking. $54 for 3 days of parking is ridiculous. That much money could have bought us a nice meal or souvenirs.

Wonderful experience overall! Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Beachfront with fantastic view of ocean. Excellent food in the hotels restaurant “The Remedy” though not an exceptionally large menu. Will be our go to hotel when back in the area.

The room was clean and the beds were comfy, bathroom was spaciousness. Fantastic view of the beach! All the staff were wonderful, very helpful. The only downside is you have to pay to park on site. We enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to our next visit.

Room was extremely damp and humid. The day I arrived the fire alarm went off for over an hour before left and went for a drive just to get away from the noise. The bar staff was very nice both times I went down to the restaurant. I think the rooms and furniture need to be updated a bit. Overall, I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Overall a pretty good stay. We felt like house keeping was lacking as they just replaced towels daily and didn’t even vacuum up sand at all during our 5 day stay which was needed as it’s a beachfront property. I also hated the fact that you have to pay $15 a day just for parking.

What a gem to find this property! The staff was amazing! Check in was easy. The room was clean and comfortable. The ocean view and sunset view from the room was gorgeous! This place will be my 1st inquiry next time I take a trip to the beach!

I was slightly disappointed for the price. The room and balcony were fairly small and not in the best condition to be newly renovated. Pillows were very small and uncomfortable. The food at the restaurant was delicious but service was lacking. They appeared to be understaffed. Front desk staff was very polite and courteous. I would recommend staying elsewhere.

It was amazing. It was few steps from the beach. Room is clean. I like the full mirror. And ocean front room. Room is a little bit small but has enough space for the luggage and plenty of drawers.

Overall the hotel is nice. I wish I had know that it really is a motel as the doors are open to the outside. Doors are heavy and slam shut making it noisy all hours of the day/night. The 2nd floor is very noise due to a mechanical room located on that floor. It was nice being so close to the beach and the pool toys were a nice touch. I was hoping for a quite, restful vacation and did not find that here but still an overall nice stay.

Pros: very clean, beautiful view of Gulf of America, friendly maid & comfy beds. Cons: slow elevator, expensive parking, unfriendly front desk staff, & loud music from attached restaurant. We stayed 3 nights. 2 of the 3 nights they had music blasting from the restaurant below & we couldn’t even sit on balcony without our ears “bleeding” from obnoxious music. Why would you do that? Even tho the room was nice, we won’t be back because of the loud music and expensive parking. $54 for 3 days of parking is ridiculous. That much money could have bought us a nice meal or souvenirs.

I just want to thank all of the staff. You all were so amazing. Especially Sean at the front desk ask Shelly. The staff and food at the Remedy is to die for. The location is perfect and I was accommodated very well. Please not that that do no have luggage store and we had a late flight. For sure want to know that ahead of time.

Regrettable welcome from the Check in. The lady was very unpleasant and did not give us any information about the hotel. We had to ask him questions and we really felt like we were bothering him! The rooms are full of humidity, when we entered the room we felt like we were in a freezer! They are forced to put the air conditioning very cold otherwise the floor gets all set! Don't be fooled like us by the photos of the hall and the reception which is very beautiful and very design, which is true but on the other hand the corridors of the rooms are outside, it is very humid and hot and we have the impression of being in a high security prison! It's really horrible. The room was also very dirty, the floor is not done we passed a towel it was black, and the room had dust everywhere! I don't understand the positive opinions because even the beach is impassable, there are too many algae

Cant get a receipt for my stay at Beal House. Asked for email receipt 2 times. Nothing yet. They charge for parking. Beach service is twice as much as other hotels. Aside from a few small issues - ice makers not working, AC in the room was very loud, a charge for parking which I did not know about ahead of time - we had a very nice stay. The bed was comfortable and there was a lovely view of the beach. The bar area was popular and friendly on a Friday night. In particular, the front desk staff was terrific.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Beal House!!! The staff are top notch, every one of them we encountered were friendly & helpful. The views are amazing! Rooms are clean, comfortable, & nicely decorated. Nice restaurant on site. We can't wait to return!!!

The best things about this place were the food at the restaurant and the fact that's it's right on the beach. I expected better for the cost. The hallways were like motel hallways. The noise level from doors closing, ice machine, people walking above you was nothing I have experienced in other hotels where I paid much less. The front desk employee was not friendly at all. She was on her phone when I arrived, which wouldn't have mattered to me if she would have given a proper greeting. She acted like I was bothering her. One person doing hostess, serving tables and the bar. We watched our food sitting in the window piling up with all the rest until finally the girl plating started trying to serve tables. Had a great stay for our one night stay. We had been in a high rise condo for 4 nights prior and wanted our last night to be closer to the beach. Nice facelift on an older property. Not too big and very easy to walk to restaurants nearby.

The hotel is beautiful and extremely clean. Every staff member was super nice and helpful. The bed and pillows were so soft and comfortable which is hard to find in a hotel. The restaurant/bar was convenient and good. It’s located in a quiet spot that is easily walkable to several restaurants and stores. The view from our balcony was breathtakingly beautiful. We will definitely go back to Beal House.

Wonderful experience overall! Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Beachfront with fantastic view of ocean. Excellent food in the hotels restaurant “The Remedy” though not an exceptionally large menu. Will be our go to hotel when back in the area.

The checkin process and Front Desk help were very nice. The room was amazing and very clean. The restaurant needs better service. The wait times are long to get your food and there appeared to be only one cook in the kitchen as it is open to the customers so you can see there is only one cook. The bar seemed unorganized and short staffed. The biggest issue is the gate from the beach into the hotel. The tile is wet and full of sand and we saw many people slipping trying to get back inside the hotel. There needs to be waterproof mats on the tile. The private beach area was very nice, renting chairs was easy, although closing at 5pm seems early, especially on the weekends. I was told the rental company is not part of the hotel. Me and my gal pals (3 total) enjoyed this hotel very much. The rooms were clean and spacious enough for all of our luggage. Our Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Close proximity to the beach. We loved the Remedy restaurant and bar in the hotel. The lobby was nice and the staff was great. The outside doesn’t do the inside of this hotel justice. We will be back.

The staff was kind and was sincere when asking how your stay was goin. The Hotel and the rooms were clean and up to date. Very nicely decorated. It was great having a restaurant at the hotel so we could just hangout at the beach and pool and not have to travel somewhere. The dinner salad with a bed of baby kale was the best salad I had had in a long time. And with that kid of taste I was liking forward to breakfast but to only be let down. Breakfast had way too much butter/oil to cook the hash browns and eggs. It was pretty much all I could taste. The Canadian bacon tasted like sausage. It had apparently been cooked in same area and grease; and toast was saturated in butter. But luckily the cappuccino was good. We’ll stay here!

We chose this hotel over another one we used to frequent down the street and had a much better experience and we were still able to stay on our favorite beach. It's not a gigantic hotel, but that was a little better in our opinion. The only issue we had was there was a huge storm that rolled through with the wind blowing the rain sideways, which came through our front door and flooded the room. The staff was quick to send someone to bring us towels and clean it up though. Parking was $15 per day and handled by a 3rd party that you paid through a QR code scanned by your phone. I would have preferred the hotel handled that, but it wasn't an issue. We will definitely be coming back in the future.
