Such character! Love these grand old homes. "The Red Room" is a nice size and has its own bathroom. There is a Keurig in the room with a few k-cups, little Coffeemate capsules, and various sweetners. The front porch was a nice spot to sit in the evening. It is a short walk to downtown. The owner is super easy to communicate with and is very conscientious about making sure everything about the stay is satisfactory to the guest. Love finding places like this to stay since the big, modern hotels can feel so sterile. Hope to return someday.

I wanted to love this place. I love the idea of what the owners are doing - restoring a historic property, but it just wasn't a great experience as a hotel guest. To me, it feels like the restorations were not done well. The paint was peeling in the bathroom, there was a soft spot in the floor, and there were holes where towel racks or other wall hangings had been removed. But the worst part was that there were bugs in the bathtub. The host approved for me to use the shared bathroom, which was a bummer since I'd paid for a private bath. The host had someone come in and remove the bugs so I could use the bath the next day, but when I woke up...more bugs. It was very disappointing. I wish I could give this stay a higher score, but unfortunately, it was just a very disappointing guest experience.

What a unique experience to live in a beautiful Victorian! The Whit Room was large and the tub was huge! The modern kitchen was well appointed and beautiful! If it wasn’t so hot, we would have enjoyed the outdoor areas as well. We’ll have to come back and enjoy the amenities with some family someday.

Property is very beautifully restored. The room was comfortable and cozy. The owner was very friendly and helpful. We will definately book again
