Hotel service was excellent from dropping the bags off to checking out. They were so accommodating for dogs nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great and the free tea and coffee was great

What a fantastic a quirky hotel. Some features I have never seen before in a hotel like a dog wash area (very dog friendly) and a cinema room. Really surprised me and would stay again!

I stayed at the Bike & Boot Hotel in Scarborough as a solo traveller and couldn’t have felt more welcome. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and perfect for someone exploring on their own. The staff were approachable and helpful without being overbearing, which made checking in and settling down really easy. The location is spot on—right between the beach and town centre—so everything is within walking distance. I spent my days exploring the coastline and came back each afternoon to free cake and coffee in the lounge, which was a lovely touch. My room was clean, bright, and modern, with a super comfortable bed and a great sea view. The smart TV with Netflix was great for quiet evenings in. I also loved the adventure-friendly extras like secure bike storage, boot/dog washing stations, and the chilled-out guest cinema room. The Bareca restaurant was ideal for solo dining—casual but good quality. I have dietary restrictions and was genuinely impressed they sourced gluten-free bread just for me. This hotel has a lot of character, and it caters really well to independent travellers. It felt safe, welcoming, and interesting—everything you want when travelling solo. I’d absolutely return.

Love this place, really welcoming homely feel. Great facilities in a good location and always very clean and comfortable. Staff are lovely and approachable, particularly the male housekeeping staff member who kindly helped with luggage/doors, saying hi to the dog and generally being warm and friendly. Food in Bareca is great too. This place is a firm favourite of ours for the cosy lounges, and the great dog walks on the doorstep and all the dog washing facilities. Thanks for another lovely stay.

This hotel is excellent for cyclists and walkers with great facilities for both including dog friendly hotel, but if you’re not either of those then the hotel is just as great too. We were on a business trip and I have stayed here before for a just a night and this was the reason we stayed again. Friendly staff, mini bar in the room, free water, tea, and a coffee machine was a nice touch. The independent Italian restaurant has Bareca was reasonably priced and also with friendly staff in my opinion was very nice.

The location of the hotel is great, with good parking options around the hotel. The parking permit is a reduced daily rate. The hotel rooms are spacious. Breakfast has plenty of choice and the food in the restaurant is really nice. Friendly staff. Nice areas to sit and enjoy a free coffee or a drink from the bar. Even though its a dog friendly hotel, it doesnt smell "doggy". The negative was the roller blind in the bathroom, our room was at the back of the hotel and the roller blind wasn't blackout. Its out of the control of the hotel...but the gulls don't sleep..at all...so be prepared for the noise. I would stay again and deffinatley recommend.

Overnight stay and visit to Open Air Theatre to see Gary Barlow on a perfect summer's evening! Great event, great setting. Bike and Boot a great stay though extended bar opening would be much appreciated by many after the walk from the event.

Great - room quite small but very clean and convenient. Wished the bar stayed open a bit later - we were at the open air theatre and back about 10.45 but the bar was already closed and we'd have liked a nightcap

Our room was noisy, old , walls and ceiling with cracks, windows frame deteriorated and one glass broken… not safe. Beautiful view but the windows were so dirty due to seagulls I guess, who are a nightmare 24/7 and entertain you especially from 4.30 am on… the. General condition of the hotel is not excellent but the employees are very very nice and with beautiful smiles!

Great dog friendly hotel. Lots of lovely extras like free coffee and cake. Free Dog washing facilities. Free on street parking. Lovely atmosphere throughout. Only negative was the room didn’t smell fresh had an unpleasant doggie smell unfortunately. But other than that all facilities excellent! Would definitely recommend.

The bike and boots hotel in Scarborough was absolutely amazing. The staff were very friendly rooms extremely clean including all other parts of the hotel. The building is old but has been very well maintained. They also allow dogs on site but unlike other hotels in the area this is kept very clean.. we will definitely be staying again. The food and bar restaurant is very spacious and has a beret of lovely dishes and a good selection of alcohol

I love this place! I booked the smallest type of room - the boot room- and the two of us found it spacious enough to be comfortable. Everything is spotless: the room and it's amenities, the bathroom, common areas, the staff clearly keep it to a great standard. There was zero sign that a dog had ever entered the hotel, nermind the room! I need to know your secrets to removing all traces of pet fluff! The staff are incredibly friendly, warm and personable. They couldn't do enough to help when needed, including looking for late night open shops on my behalf and cutting new keys when we left our original in the room 5 minutes after recieving it. Love the relaxed vibe, the 24 hour lounge, and the decor. We can't wait to return!

Excellent. 2nd visit. Lots of dogs but never heard any barking in the night. Rooms are spotless and quirky. Fridge is a bonus. Great coffee maker. We even got rain ponchos, iron and ironing board. This was standard room (101) without breakfast and only paid £77 Perfect location near the beach and town.

Lovely big comfy bed. Plenty of space in the room. Bathroom could do with a bit of a deep clean especially in corners and a little worn in places but shower was good. We were in Scarborough to see a concert at the open air theatre and felt The Bike and Boot was well placed even though it’s situated in the south bay. Nice 25 minute walk through the town to the venue with plenty of places to eat and drink on the way. Would happily stay again.

The property is great and very comfy and quirky. Shame the bar shuts at 11, so we missed it by the time we got back from the gig. Very nice breakfast. I just don’t like the fact there’s no actual reception, if there’s people there to assist why not just have a reception desk? Also seagulls and traffic very noisy, no double glazing plus it was very hot so we had to have windows open even though a fan was very kindly provided.

Overall great stay the bed was comfy and the room was clean. There were a couple of issues including the tv not working which we informed the staff about the morning after the 1st night stay but it wasn’t fixed and no one else spoke to us about it even if it was just to say sorry but they couldn’t resolve the issue. Also the room door wouldn’t shut correctly without slamming it which meant we couldn’t enter leave without disturbing others around us.

We stayed at the Bike and Boot Hotel in Scarborough for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the modern quirky decor. We had a medium sea view room which had a large king size bed with a lovely modern bathroom. We had a fantastic sea view from our window. It can be a little difficult at times to find a parking spot due to the number of hotels in the area. We did not stay for breakfast as we thought this was a little expensive. We would definitely stay here again as we loved the hotel's location and sea view. We are dog lovers so loved seeing the different types of dog around the hotel. All staff were friendly and there to assist if you needed help with the self check-in.

Bedroom was spacious, bedside tables with usb plug sockets either side. Flat screen tv in both bedroom and small lounge. Bathroom large shower with double head, good pressure. Specious and very clean. Small lounge with sofa and tea coffee facilities with flat screen tv. Excellent wifi connecti. However, tv was too high on the wall to watch for long

The hotel location is great with easy parking at a reduced rate . I loved the free hot drinks and cake that was available in the afternoon. Negatives - the TV kept losing signal and turning off . I did communicate with the hotel and they acknowledged the problem but couldn’t rectify it :-( I can’t comment on the breakfast as we stayed room only

We stayed at the Bike and Boot Hotel in Scarborough for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the modern quirky decor. We had a medium sea view room which had a large king size bed with a lovely modern bathroom. We had a fantastic sea view from our window. It can be a little difficult at times to find a parking spot due to the number of hotels in the area. We did not stay for breakfast as we thought this was a little expensive. We would definitely stay here again as we loved the hotel's location and sea view. We are dog lovers so loved seeing the different types of dog around the hotel. All staff were friendly and there to assist if you needed help with the self check-in.

Shower and towels excellent. Room was airless and stuffy, heat in the corridors was like being in a furnace, Lumpy Pillows and Doonas. This property is suitable for people who want to have their dogs with them at all times. Be aware there is extremely limited parking close to the hotel. Self check in reception staff seemed very disengaged.

Positives: Reception staff brilliant Rooms (208 & 216) clean, minimalist but warm and comfortable - great views across South Bay Generally v quiet Excellent location Pleasant lounge areas Needs improving: Food in restaurant not as good as it was when we last stayed here -very diffident response from staff on duty when we mentioned this. - in fact it was mediocre and overpriced - attitude of staff seemed to create a rather unwelcoming atmosphere. So very different from the welcoming, helpful reception staff. Corridors in dire need of a deep clean and redecoration. Will definitely stay again but will give bar/restaurant a miss

Great hotel, received a friendly welcome on arrival. Location and staff were excellent. Loved the decor and ambience. Really relaxed hotel with gorgeous coffee, water and fresh milk in the room. Helpful guide in the room too about the hotel and local area. Loved the downstairs chilled area with free hot drinks and fresh water. A refreshing change and would definitely visit again.

Such a great hotel in a fab location! Lovely room, super comfy bed and hotel communal areas tidy and inviting. Utilised the free cinema, enjoyed some free cake and coffee during the day, and the hotel bar/restaurant was good value, with a fast efficient service. We had an issue with our key on second night, but this was dealt with effectively and quickly, can’t fault the staff at all, thanks for helping out so quickly! Would definitely stay again, and recommended highly to family and friends already! Great all round

Stayed at here before as is prefect location in center of Scarborough with many areas within easy walking distance. Lovely hotel with staff second to none. Reasonable prices despite height of summer season and can get extremely busy. Parking can be a pain but other than that… highly recommended

Great location on the edge of the town to walk the dogs to the beach and beyond. Breakfast nice, but pricey. Loved the dog showers/towels made available for when you get back from a muddy/sandy walk. Also, the free coffee and cake which was welcome after a long walk. Hotel was really warm, so had the window open most of the night which then subjects you to some road/seagull noise.

Excellent. 2nd visit. Lots of dogs but never heard any barking in the night. Rooms are spotless and quirky. Fridge is a bonus. Great coffee maker. We even got rain ponchos, iron and ironing board. This was standard room (101) without breakfast and only paid £77 Perfect location near the beach and town.

All good! Room lovely and clean with a great view of the sea; breakfast was lovely too - pancakes with maple syrup (and or bacon if you chose) along with other choices. Because of the weather we didn’t end up taking our dog but saw many there and it’s lovely and dog friendly. A nice quiet room at the back for a chat and a drink and we enjoyed an evening meal there too

We stayed for the weekend and had a great time. The staff were always enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. There was lots of choice at breakfast and the food was great quality. Our rooms were spacious and well designed . We loved the daily cake. We also tried a cocktail which was amazing!

Another lovely stay at a Bike and Boot property. Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms and great restaurant. Will be back and have noted rooms with sea views for next time :) not the seagull breeding colony out back that we had outside our window. All par for the course at an English seaside resort, and it was a last minute booking, Will definitely be back.

Pleasantly suprised at how lovely the hotel was. The corridors to the room didnt look that great, but on arriving in the room to find it was so nice. Great size, a little quirky. Quite luxurious, comfy bed, kettle and coffee machine in the room, you could get coffee downstairs any time you wanted from a free coffee machine that tasted great. Big bathroom with towels and shower gels. Nice bars and lounge areas and a delicious free warm cookies in the afternoon. Located in a great area, stayed to attend a concert at the open air theatre. Took about 20 mins to walk there through the town. There was free ponchos at the hotel that came in very handy. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend.
