A unique experience for anyone who is looking for an elevated glamping vibe. The pods are built into the rock and provide amazing views of the valle. The staff was fantastic! They were available for any questions/concerns and responded quickly to our requests (shuttle pick up, campfire support, etc.) Absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to return!

There was a strong drainage smell coming from the bathroom. We had to open the windows, but because of the warm weather we couldn't keep them open for too long as the A/C would be worthless. At some point in the morning the A/C stopped working. The timing of transportation was an issue ... it took about 15-20 minutes.

Loved it here and will def be back! The rooms are small but very well designed with epic views. The shower was fantastic (was a little concerned there might not be much power - but it was lux). I absolutely loved walking out onto a dirt path in the mountains. And the pool is small but stunning with great food. Heads up there's no room service for food and pool food I think is closed Tues. But the area has AMAZING restaurants. Lunario and Deckmans are musts. We also had a sound bath/meditation with a woman named Mars who came to the hotel. Was all around a wonderful experience.

An exceptional and kind team created a lovely stay for our anniversary. Reception staff were both welcoming an informative, and helped us to get a reservation for an amazing dinner at Fauna. Gate and shuttle staff make it look easy to coordinate all of the transport of guests; they clearly have excellent communication with one another! Loved the peaceful pool and restaurant. Again-wonderful team running that space as well! The wildflowers are out of control right now, and there are plenty of walking paths to explore. Next time, I would try a loft on the canyon side. The view from the higher numbered lofts are on the valley view side. Lower are canyon view.

STAY AWAY!!!! This is basically glorified camping—and not in a cute way. You can’t drive up to your room; instead, you have to take a bumpy shuttle every time you need to go anywhere. Forgot something in your car? Need to go to the lobby? Shuttle. The property *is* beautiful, but our experience in Room 2 was incredibly disappointing—and absolutely not worth the nearly 400 USD a night price tag. After dinner, we noticed a strong sulfur/rotten egg smell outside… and then realized it had made its way into the room. It was so bad it made us dizzy. We had to open all the windows and sleep in the cold. When we contacted staff, they sent someone who sprayed air freshener and poured something down a drain—but he also admitted this issue happens *often* in certain rooms. That was incredibly frustrating and concerning. The next morning, things got worse. We waited over an hour for breakfast, never received our food, and had to leave for a wine tasting without eating—or even having time to get ready. We ended up checking out early. While they refunded the second night and gave us a bottle of wine, we were still charged full price for the night we spent breathing in noxious fumes. For a known issue, that’s just unacceptable. Don't waste your money.

Very nice hotel. Very different in accommodations and looks from other hotels. Very nice ambiance. Staff very helpful and nice. Pool area clean. In addition each loft has a terraza with fire place which makes the experience even better. Great views of the valley and walking trails. Wine testing room, wine and staff was great. The only negative thing was that the restaurant closes at 2pm on Mondays and it is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There is no coffee service those days either and since there are no coffee shops nearby it was kind of an inconvenience for us since we like coffee in the mornings. Other than that it was a great stay and will definitely stay there again. Next time I will bring my single serving coffe maker!

I wish this property was still owned by Grupo Habita as our stay was highly disappointing and quite frankly, unacceptable. For the luxury hotel rates, their service and hospitality is borderline non-existent. We booked three rooms for our group of 7, where 3 of us were going to stay in a double room. The team proceed to tell us that only 2 people could stay per room after we had called a few days prior to confirm this was okay. The rooms are old and need maintenance with the sink and shower heads rusting. They have walkie talkies in the room for guests to communicate with the front desk and they were all out of battery. The windows were dirty. The restaurant staff was extremely rude, rushing for us to get out after charging us without even letting us see the wine list. We were in the hot tub and when we asked if there were any towels they pointed at a plastic bag saying “you get can them from there”. Clearly the Encuentro Guadalupe team does not know what hospitality and service means. It’s honestly super sad given Valle is such a gorgeous destination. Special shoutout to the hotel drivers, who were the only attentive people in the property. If you’re coming to Valle, please don’t stay here and choose a place like Casa Bruma or El Cielo instead. Maybe the Encuentro team should go check out one of these truly luxury properties and get a lesson or two on what hospitality and service means.

Ofrece una buena vista durante el día pero sin sombra por lo que es difícil aprovecharla. En la noche no se aprecia tanto la vista por la contaminación lumínica que tiene el valle actualmente. La habitación es en extremo pequeña y cero privacidad para el baño. Me parece demasiado cara para lo poco que ofrece en instalaciones. Me parece que lo que cobran es la vista que solo se disfruta bajo el intenso sol.

This hotel (one of the first eco-boutiques in Valle) has held up well. The service is excellent and the grounds are stunning, especially over the hill where the "lofts" are located. A great place to disappear for the weekend.

I've been to Encuentro Guadalupe twice and I just love the calmness and chill environment. Definitely not a party resort, it's a place to unwind, disconnect and relax. It has a breathtaking views of Valle from the different rooms.

I wish this property was still owned by Grupo Habita as our stay was highly disappointing and quite frankly, unacceptable. For the luxury hotel rates, their service and hospitality is borderline non-existent. We booked three rooms for our group of 7, where 3 of us were going to stay in a double room. The team proceed to tell us that only 2 people could stay per room after we had called a few days prior to confirm this was okay. The rooms are old and need maintenance with the sink and shower heads rusting. They have walkie talkies in the room for guests to communicate with the front desk and they were all out of battery. The windows were dirty. The restaurant staff was extremely rude, rushing for us to get out after charging us without even letting us see the wine list. We were in the hot tub and when we asked if there were any towels they pointed at a plastic bag saying “you get can them from there”. Clearly the Encuentro Guadalupe team does not know what hospitality and service means. It’s honestly super sad given Valle is such a gorgeous destination. Special shoutout to the hotel drivers, who were the only attentive people in the property. If you’re coming to Valle, please don’t stay here and choose a place like Casa Bruma or El Cielo instead. Maybe the Encuentro team should go check out one of these truly luxury properties and get a lesson or two on what hospitality and service means.

Super unique one of a kind experience, will definitely go again. Front desk & drivers service amazing. Areas to improve: service at restaurant/pool bar. I had to repeatedly go up to bar to request service. Restaurant meal options could improve, a few couples while I was there asking for a simple chips and guac snack option but there's nothing like this, only fancy raw fish stuff. Both days I was there the snack menu was not available. The one day none of the "sweet" breakfast options were available on the already limited menu. No breakfast drink options for non-coffee drinkers other than juice, a chai or matcha option would be good. All in all these things minor and I'm not that picky, was still an awesome stay and I would recommend to anyone.

An exceptional and kind team created a lovely stay for our anniversary. Reception staff were both welcoming an informative, and helped us to get a reservation for an amazing dinner at Fauna. Gate and shuttle staff make it look easy to coordinate all of the transport of guests; they clearly have excellent communication with one another! Loved the peaceful pool and restaurant. Again-wonderful team running that space as well! The wildflowers are out of control right now, and there are plenty of walking paths to explore. Next time, I would try a loft on the canyon side. The view from the higher numbered lofts are on the valley view side. Lower are canyon view.

STAY AWAY!!!! This is basically glorified camping—and not in a cute way. You can’t drive up to your room; instead, you have to take a bumpy shuttle every time you need to go anywhere. Forgot something in your car? Need to go to the lobby? Shuttle. The property *is* beautiful, but our experience in Room 2 was incredibly disappointing—and absolutely not worth the nearly 400 USD a night price tag. After dinner, we noticed a strong sulfur/rotten egg smell outside… and then realized it had made its way into the room. It was so bad it made us dizzy. We had to open all the windows and sleep in the cold. When we contacted staff, they sent someone who sprayed air freshener and poured something down a drain—but he also admitted this issue happens *often* in certain rooms. That was incredibly frustrating and concerning. The next morning, things got worse. We waited over an hour for breakfast, never received our food, and had to leave for a wine tasting without eating—or even having time to get ready. We ended up checking out early. While they refunded the second night and gave us a bottle of wine, we were still charged full price for the night we spent breathing in noxious fumes. For a known issue, that’s just unacceptable. Don't waste your money.

Very nice hotel. Very different in accommodations and looks from other hotels. Very nice ambiance. Staff very helpful and nice. Pool area clean. In addition each loft has a terraza with fire place which makes the experience even better. Great views of the valley and walking trails. Wine testing room, wine and staff was great. The only negative thing was that the restaurant closes at 2pm on Mondays and it is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There is no coffee service those days either and since there are no coffee shops nearby it was kind of an inconvenience for us since we like coffee in the mornings. Other than that it was a great stay and will definitely stay there again. Next time I will bring my single serving coffe maker!

Loved it here and will def be back! The rooms are small but very well designed with epic views. The shower was fantastic (was a little concerned there might not be much power - but it was lux). I absolutely loved walking out onto a dirt path in the mountains. And the pool is small but stunning with great food. Heads up there's no room service for food and pool food I think is closed Tues. But the area has AMAZING restaurants. Lunario and Deckmans are musts. We also had a sound bath/meditation with a woman named Mars who came to the hotel. Was all around a wonderful experience.

Amazing escape in Valle de Guadalupe. Very secluded and private setting. Staff was amazing and always helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend. Food pool side was exceptional and a dip in the hot tub and pool is a must.

Amazing service, hospitality, and wine — it was truly an incredible experience. We weren’t aware ahead of time that the restaurant and hot tub would be out of service, and it would have been nice to have that communicated prior to arrival. That said, the staff was wonderful and made the stay incredibly enjoyable. We spent our evenings relaxing by the fire pit, and the front desk recommended and arranged some fantastic local restaurants for us. It also would have been great to have the restaurant open in the mornings, even if just for coffee service. Overall, it was a unique and memorable experience all around, and we’re already planning another visit in the near future. Amazing service, hospitality, and wine — it was truly an incredible experience. We weren’t aware ahead of time that the restaurant and hot tub would be out of service, and it would have been nice to have that communicated prior to arrival. That said, the staff was wonderful and made the stay incredibly enjoyable. We spent our evenings relaxing by the fire pit, and the front desk recommended and arranged some fantastic local restaurants for us. It also would have been great to have the restaurant open in the mornings, even if just for coffee service. Overall, it was a unique and memorable experience all around, and we’re already planning another visit in the near future. We truly appreciated the attentiveness, hospitality, and beautiful atmosphere throughout our stay.
