Although rooms are small, they were clean. Bathroom was tiny and hard to move around in. Only had 2 towels in the bathroom for my family of 4, took a while for someone to bring us more. Breakfast was a bright spot, good options and fresh. They do not have attached parking...but my advice is to not drive in Manhattan anyways.

Located in a great central location, but not too close to Times Square. The problem with the hotel is the size, it is 26 floors but with a small lobby that was always overflowing. Being in the lobby was like a refugee camp, and wait times for the 4 elevators could take around 10 minutes.

4 sisters traveling with 2 of us in each room. The rooms were tight but we managed. The service was good, except that one shower wasn't draining. My sister let the front desk know and I assume they got it fixed. The hotel was very busy and the elevators get a real workout. We remained patient and used the stairs a few times. The onsite included breakfast is a real time saver. They have something for everyone. We found the staff very friendly and accommodating. Great location but fair warning, 39th Street is torn up so watch your step 😉

1-2 Lifts working for 26 floors It will stop at every floor in the morning and evening.. takes more than 15 minutes to come down from the top floor Breakfast time even at 7am is very busy. The room AC was not working when we got there, they tried fixing it and then had to move us at 1am in the night.

Good location, rooms are a little tired, elevators are completely inefficient particularly at peak morning if on a mid floor you can’t get in them and at check-out it’s crazy. All disposable plates and cutlery at breakfast.

The only issue I had was the elevators. I was on the 10th floor and by the time the elevator arrived they were always full. Be prepared to wait. There only 4 elevators.

It was fine. Clean enough and comfortable enough for 1 night. Water carafes in the lobby were empty, ice and water machine on our floor was broken. Long waits for elevator.

I really liked that they were located within walking distance to the Broadway theater district. Staff were respectful and friendly and the breakfast was fantastic with lots of variety. The only drawback was the slow elevators. With so many floors, it was hard to get on the elevators to leave because they were all full. But, the rooms were spacious and clean. The positives outweighed the elevator issues so I would comeback again. In fact, it was the consistency of service of Hyatt Places from staying at other locations (eg. Hyatt Place Downtown Denver) that made me choose it in New York. It’s economical while providing a quality experience.

The Hyatt was very clean, and they had maid service everyday, which is becoming very rare. The free breakfast had lots of options, pancakes, bacon, bagels,toast, oatmeal, yogurt & then some. We stayed there 4 nights. They had a privacy screen on the window which was helpful because guests from the neighboring hotel could see into the room. Their building was about 30feet away. Even tho the room is small (most rooms in NYC are small unless you're paying the big bucks) it has everything we needed. Including an iron and board, fridge & safe. It's a great location just a few blocks from Broadway. The elevators were a bit slow. They have 4 elevators. But overall the stay was great.

Disappointed by Poor Cleaning Standards Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was overshadowed by the lack of cleanliness. Upon arrival, the room was far from clean – dust on the furniture, bathroom not properly sanitized, and the floor clearly dirty. Even in the following days, housekeeping was inconsistent and superficial: beds were made hastily, and trash wasn’t always removed. For a hotel that promotes comfort and hospitality, hygiene should be a top priority. I won’t be coming back.

Lobby smelled like there was a sewage issue, but the rooms were great and odor free thank goodness. Great location and walking distance from the train and bus stations. Very spacious room compared to most NY hotels. Staff was very friendly and attentive throughout property. I would stay again.

Staff was nice , but when asked how far something was didn’t no , they won’t call cab for you so I had figure that out myself witch if you download app for taxi service (Curb) was easy use an new cost before ever get in cab , back hotel was excellent clean ,room was small we made it work .breakfast was good did get busy at time ,elevator only 4 they took time get up down not to bad overall was great place stay

Front desk staff unfriendly, unhelpful, and unprofessional. Sewage smell in the lobby made me want to puke, and I asked security if that was the normal smell, and security didn't speak English. Paid over $300 per night, location too far west to be that expensive, lobby is nasty, accommodations barely passable. Had to call up to get the toilet fixed as soon as we got there. Disappointed in Hyatt for this place.

I had some problems with my room, and the tub was dirty. When I asked the front desk to switch my room they put me in a room that was worse than the one I had before. It was also mold at the bottom of the tub in the new room they switch me to. I thought to myself I probably should have been quiet about the issues because when you complain about something they put you in a room much worse. Then they say there are no other rooms available. I wish this location offered parking. I had to find parking parking in other areas that charge.

It was room for 3. Saga bed was very uncomfortable and didn’t have any blankets. Every 3 days we been asking for blankets, but never get them. Very small room for 3 people. Mostly when sofa was turned to bed. Very small wardrobe and no any shelf’s for clothes and even for laggage. Breakfast was good.

I had a very frustrating experience with this hotel. I pre-paid through Expedia for my stay, only to be charged again by the hotel after checkout. Trying to resolve this was a nightmare, neither the hotel nor Expedia took proper responsibility, and I was constantly bounced back and forth between them. Because of the USD/CAD conversion, I ended up losing money, even after a partial refund was eventually issued. I had a very frustrating experience with this hotel. I pre-paid through Expedia for my stay, only to be charged again by the hotel after checkout. Trying to resolve this was a nightmare, neither the hotel nor Expedia took proper responsibility, and I was constantly bounced back and forth between them. Because of the USD/CAD conversion, I ended up losing money, even after a partial refund was eventually issued. Arrived and check in was smooth and hotel clean. There were no sheets for the pull out sofa bed and had to be requested from the front desk. Additional towels and a blanket was left in the room but still no sheets. Had to call a second time to get the sheets. Attempted to take a shower and the drain was clogged so the shower would not drain. Went to the front desk an asked for maintenance or a new room since it was 10:30pm and we are traveling with 3 kids. Maintenance showed up and worked on snaking the drain until 11:45.

Oh my goodness! What can I say about the wonderful Vincent and his amazing staff. Incredible service— going way above and beyond. So polite. So helpful. So sincerely nice. A problem with the room’s AC? They immediately fixed it. Need a ride? They called one for us. Where to buy bagels? Here’s my favorite place. The location is fantastic. Rooms are generous and clean. And they serve breakfast with a smile! I will stay here again!!

The room was not as advertised for the price we paid not much view. My friends that came to New York for the 1st time were very disappointed.It was kind of dusty, the bathroom door was broken we asked maintenance to fix and he told us when we we leave. Mixed fruit was rotting at breakfast. Staff was very nice and helpful except we waited 2 or 3 hours after check in for our room. All in our party checked in way before us. Had a lovely time celebrating a monumental birthday for my mom. We had two connecting rooms. The breakfast was great with a lot of choices and ample seating. It does get busy around 7:30-8:30 so plan accordingly. The hotel concierge was quick to answer any questions or concerns I had. The location is prime especially if you want easy access to Times Square. If you're an Elite member, you get two free waters a day/per room. We also were able to book a private shuttle from the hotel to EWR with ease! I'd definitely stay here again.

Hotel overall was good, I wasn’t happy we only got housekeeping one day, had to call and ask for them to come and provide clean towels and take trash out. The lobby restaurant had great service and good food. The hotel area isn’t the best, it’s dirty, loud and at times felt unsafe.

The breakfast was great! Many different options available and it’s complementary. The shower was a bit small and the wait to get on the elevator is super long since there are almost 30 floors but besides that it’s a great stay. I felt safe and the hotel was very clean. Sleeping in their bed felt like i was on clouds. Overall 8.5/10!

Breakfast was terrible, not tasty and either burnt and cold or just cold. Part of the reason we stayed here was the breakfast, total waste of money. Room was more a large closet than a room. The pull out had no support so the flat item we’ll call a mattress sink to the floor. Bar tender left us sitting at a table for almost two hours and never offered a refill or asked if we might want any thing else. Then practically chased us down when we were throwing away our trash, god forbid we forget to pay for a soda when we paid 700 a night for a closet.

Location was great (close to Times Square), clean and quiet. Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet is really full in the morning and during weekends too full to actually use. The use of one-time use cutlery, plates and cups should be changed to a more environmental friendly option.

The staff was wonderful! Special shout out to Savannah and Evary for going above and beyond! The room was clean and comfy, and the complimentary breakfast was plentiful, with a vast variety of food. Great location within walking distance to Time Square, Javits Center, etc. My only 2 complaints are 1- the air conditioning - it shuts down after a while then eventually turns back on “for economical reasons” I was told, and so if you’re sleeping it becomes very uncomfortable and warm very quickly. And 2 - they placed a large plastic commercial size garbage can in the hallway across from the elevator along with a huge suitcase with compartments for housekeeping like cups, lids, etc. It was odd because it didn’t go with the decor of the hotel and it was not only an eyesore but also it obstructed the passageway when walking back and forth with suitcases and the huge bellhop luggage cart. I felt like something’s like those should be kept out of sight and certainly out of the way. A nice service was that you can go to the front desk and ask them to order you a taxi
