BeachWalk at Sea Bright

I hate leaving bad reviews of a place but unfortunately this was not a pleasant stay from beginning. Room was not ready till 415 pm even though they were in no way busy prior to my arrival. Was later told staffing issues and workers don’t care. Then next problem for key didn’t work, bathroom shower leaked a pool onto the floor after every shower, the on site bar closed early, didn’t serve food bc they said not busy enough. There is some newer parts of the property but the back part where we stayed, the wood was all rotted, paint chipped everywhere, looked soo old and uncared for. The pool would have been beautiful but was filthy, never cleaned once during our stay and full of sand/ bugs. Will unfortunately not be back to this location and wouldn’t recommend

Our room had a beautiful view of the river and surrounding areas!!!. The patio was also very nice. The room is large and nice and sunny but outdated, and the TV was small with all the cables and wires hanging everywhere. The Wi-Fi did not work and the staff did not know how to fix it. The bathroom was kind of small. The couch was very nice and comfortable. The pool was large and beautiful but was closed on 10/7 when it was still 75 and sunny. Food was good at the restaurant but there were fleas everywhere. Staff was very pleasant and helpful except for the Wi-Fi .

We were provided with no information at check-in. When we asked about whether the tap water was potable and where the ice machine was, the young lady at the desk told us "well, all tap water is drinkable", and that the ice machine is out of order. The following day, we were told that we could go to the restaurant to ask for ice. Photos online represented a much more updated and comfortable space. Our room, while clean, had only sconce lighting, which was not sufficient. The blind facing the parking lot (where lights were on all night) didn't completely cover the window. The remotes provided were not compatible with the TV. The microwave was unplugged and we needed to move the entire shelf in order for the cord to reach the receptable. For a room with 2 beds, there was not enough space to put things. There wasn't a singel hook for hanging towels to dry or a toiletry bag, nor was there space on the sink or other surface to safely place items in the bathroom. Additionally, the shower curtain was about 3 inches too short, which had water going into the floor as soon as the water was turned on. We had to use extra towels to keep the water from flowing into the rest of the bathroom. Cushions were missing from several of the benches on the dock. The pool was not well maintained. Clumps of hair, and film-like material could be seen swirling. When my daughter got out of the pool, there was blue paint from the liner stuck to her. We were in Unit 2, clearly not what was shown online.

Beach a short walk a crossed the street. Big beautiful pool. They do have an elevator despite what it says. Very nice deck on the shewsberry river. The only disappointment was no restaurant up and running or bar which they told us in a text it was.

Great location but property needs some renovation. Pool was cold, would have been great if it was heated.

Good location, good restaurant, bed was okay and quiet when sleeping. Pool was filthy, pillows terrible, bathroom dirty and water at the end of the stairs.

Walking distance from the ocean with huge pool. Loved the on-site reataurant with bay view.

The hotel 🏨 has a beach oceanfront view. The staff members are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a pool and bar. Highly recommended

We had a wonderful time at the hotel on the water, just north of Long Branch NJ. Great location with pool and cafe for food and drinks. Pool area is large and inviting. Our only recommendation would be for the hotel to invest in more comfortable pool lounge chairs. The old hard plastic ones are not comfortable.

Overall, stayed there several times. However, this past stay elevator was broken on a 4-story hotel. To me, inexcusable on a Sat nite with a wedding party staying there as well. Many complaints and for the cost per room, they should’ve had it repaired

Room was clean, bar restaurant was excellent. This is not a boutique hotel. Bathroom had mold, tv didn't work. Exterior needs refreshing. Price even for September was exorbitant.

You would think a hotel in such a good location would be maintained better, I had such a bad ant problem they were everywhere!!! It was bad.

Filthy rooms. Dirty toilet, pubic hairs on bathroom floor. Disgusting.

We were disappointed. Our bathroom had mold above the shower and there was a bunch of mosquitos in the room. We had to switch rooms it was supposed to be a 2 day stay we only stayed for one due to the room conditions. The pictures I saw online we not the room I was in.

So disappointed stay I was looking forward to a relax time , my room was dirty falling apart . The pillow had blood stain soo so bad

This property is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, immaculate, safe. Beds are like sleeping on a cloud yet supportive. Front desk check in with Mackenzie was easy. and she's a sweetheart. The view of the ocean is mesmerizing, even with a cloudy very overcast day. Restaurants and shops near by with a car. Beautiful stay.

The setting near the ocean was lovely but the state of the room was abysmal. Condition of bed and pillows was awful. No coffee maker. Counter covered with ants in am. Told person at counter and she said she would get manager but nobody came. I asked for some money off and they Said to contact Hotels. Com.

Room was disappointing. Room was very smelly and we were moved to two smaller rooms that were not connected. The room linens and towels were also very dirty. 80 percent of our linens and towels were stained. It was definitely not a sanitary room. The staff was very nice and they were the best part of the stay. The front desk staff were friendly and responsive. I would not however, recommend this hotel ro go back. I do not feel that the cost was worth the stay.

The photos for this place are so off. Our room looked nothing like we were expecting. We stayed 20 minutes. Our beds had sand in them which tells me the sheets were not changed. The shower was disgusting.

Our room facing the ocean (in the newer building) was great. The location was very convenient, and the layout was even nicer than expected. Highly recommended!

TV was not working And the refrigerator was not working I was told nothing could be done until the next day I had food and drinks they told me get ice what a joke no manager on duty

We paid for a premium ocean view room. From the second floor we had a view of the parking lot and the dunes, but couldn't see the water. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. However, the AC was lacking. Barely blew and did not reach the desired temperature

Stay in the new section. Very nice modern rooms. Wish-all the rooms facing the ocean had balconies but they have wall to ceiling windows. Very large bathroom which was nice. Pool and pool bar and grill were bonus!!

To much noise in the room on the first floor because of the skinny ceiling

Mediocre hotel. I felt like homeless people probably stay there in the winter. It was kind of creepy. I stayed in the old part of the hotel overlooking the pool which appeared good on the outside. Everything was old, out dated and original on the inside. Big disappointment. I must say the view of the river was amazing.

It is beautiful and new facing the ocean on one side and the bay on the other. Stayed in one of the Ocenview with balcony.

We chose the low-cost rate, so I would not do that again. The room was very small, the internet did not work - they have Wi-Fi, but no internet connection. The TV received one channel. The refrigerator emitted a bright spark when it turned off or on, so we unplugged it as it lite up the room in the dark. The "ocean view" rooms are in a different and newer building and are probably more comfortable. We only stayed for 2 nights, The bed was comfortable and the AC worked, but noisy. Shower was OK - no pressure balance so if someone flushed a toilet nearby, you get a shot of very hot water. Staff was nice.

New wing nice room beach view includes a parking lot and a highway with street lamps and a bright light on the balcony that you cannot turn off and blackout curtains that you cannot quite close all the way. Not much sleep.

This hotel has full glass walls making you feel you're on the oe rooms are modernized and very clean. The only issue that they should fix asap is the water power of the showers which is currently terribly weak. I have to mention the late night front desk clerk Chris for being ecean or river - depending where your room is facing. Thxceptionally nice, and Bridgette for being exceptionally nice as well and let me check out only at 1 pm - 2 hours later then the official check out time. I will hopefully be back at this wonderful cozy quiet charming place.

From the moment we arrived, the lobby staff made us feel welcome—especially Alana, who went above and beyond to ensure our experience was smooth and enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised to be allowed to check in much earlier than expected, which was a huge help. Our original room was fine, but located in an older part of the hotel and lacked a bit of the sparkle we were hoping for. Since the full-size beds felt a bit small for us, we inquired about an upgrade. Alana, without hesitation or hassle, graciously moved us to an oceanfront room—and what a difference it made! The upgraded room was spacious, beautifully decorated in a simple yet elegant style, and featured large, incredibly comfortable beds. The view and ambiance made our stay feel truly special. Even better, upon checkout, we were happy to find there were no unexpected charges for the upgrade. All in all, our experience was top-notch thanks to the staff's warmth and flexibility—Alana deserves special recognition for her hospitality. We would absolutely stay here again!

I never leave reviews but this place was terrible. Check in was at 4pm so i arrived at 415pm. I checked in and went to my room to find a dirty room. Bed was not made and tip money was left on the table. So i nicely went back to the office and told them that someone didnt get to clean my room. They apologized and told me to check back later. After checking back many time room wasnt ready until 7pm. No compensation or anything off the bill. Just Sorry. Once i get to my room. The bed was a full size. Not a queen the site said it was. Mattress was very cheap and felt like it belongs in a pullout couch. The bathroom shower was disgusting. I took pictures of it. Internet was free but does not work. Overall i would not stay here again. Only good thing was the location. Staff seemed not to care about anything.

Although I booked through expedia and requested a ground level pool view when I arrived i was put in room 19 that had steps to get to the room, i cannot do steps due to handicap. Macenzie at front desk was sweet and acted very quickly to accommodate us and we were placed in the new building on 2nd floor that access to an elevator. I was so grateful for their kindness and understanding they were so flexible and kind. love this place very convenient and we also got to swim in the pool which was great

Tv and internet didnt work No staff on site No manager No maitainece to fix. Manager never reached out after numerious requests. Room wasnt ready till 530pm Room didnt get freshened till next dayvat 530pm No fresh towels No new cups Water barley hot and shower was a drizzle .

Check in is at 4pm but room wasn't ready until 6:30 pm. TV doesn't work. Place is way under staffed. Horrible experience! Very unprofessional! Stay away!

The service and worker at both the front desk and the restaurant on the property were very kind and made me and my family feel very welcomed. The rooms were clean, spacious and gave us a view of the beach, etc.

I spoke to staff in August 2022 after reserving a room with expedia. I said we are handicapped and need a ground floor room. I was told yes we would have a ground floor room. I called again months later and it was confirmed ground floor. The day before arriving I called front desk and it was confirmed a ground floor room. We arrived early on june 22 and were told our room number. when we went to see where the room was it was up on the highest part of the building a full flight of steps plus another 6 steps to the room. This was not what we were told 3 times. The woman at the desk said oh, you reserved on Expedia. Something I never heard before. If you called direct you would have the ground floor. Three times they checked my reservation and I was never told that. My son had reserved directly only a month before and received a new room in the new building which I was not aware was open. They refused to change my room to ground level when there were several rooms not occupied yet. Due to their irresponsible staff my son gave me his room. This was a very embarrassing circumstance for me. My daughter in law is an angel to exchange this horrible room for me. I was told they have to pay a commission to Expedia and therefore I should call direct and I will get a better room. Travelled through all states and booked most times with a service and never was treated this way. BEWARE YOU MUST CALL DIRECT TO GET WHAT YOU WANT.

The staff is super friendly and they allow you to come early and stay late to enjoy the facilities.

I was told we'd get an addt'l disc if paid cash upon arrival, so brought cash & they didnt accept cash @ front desk. also had 20% off from July 2024 in my email, front desk told me that person no longer works there so didnt honor it. we paid for 6 guests, there were no sheets or blankets for the pull out, no one at desk to get some. My friends & I stay here 2-3 times a summer for past 5 years, no pool towels, ice machine broken,we were told we can get ice for our 3 day stay at tiki bar, bar told us we cant get no more ice, no coffee, complimentary muffins & fruit @ coffee bar at 8AM, worker tossed me coffee packets & said make it yourself, no gluten free option on menu, took lobster roll off menu, babies in pool w/just diapers, not swim pants, room card was deactivated 2 x's during stay, no one brought new coffee to our room during our stay, lids to coffee were the wrong size, no one at front desk at night, had to ask for bath towels. Overall, all 6 of us were very disappointed with this stay, as this was our favorite place to come once each month in the summer.

Amazing, safe, location. Friendly staff. Cleaned. Stayed in ocean front room. Million dollar view. Will definitely stay again. Only thing bummed about was the hotel restaurant was closed when we tried to go. Sad about that as it had a incredible riverview dining.

This hotel is located between the bay and the beach. Lots of great water views. It is close to ferries to NY and Sandy Hook National Park.

It was right across from the beach and had a pool. The older rooms were pretty small but the newer ocean views looked really nice. We were there one night so fine. But a week would have been tough in the small bathroom.

I grew up in Rumson, so staying here on the river really brought me back in a good way! The location of the hotel is perfect, the condition of the hotel is great, and the views are incredible. Walkable to 2nd Jetty Seafood, another local gem. I had a special request and the staff accommodated me with a smile.

We only stayed for one night but I hated to leave! The property was located directly across the street from a beautiful and uncrowded ocean beach. There were several great restaurants within a mile. The property also has its own restaurant and bar with a simple menu. The room was spacious and spotless. The view of the river from the huge picture window in our room was breathtaking. We were able to watch the sun set over the river from our room or from chairs by the pool or from the restaurant. Our room did not face the ocean, but there was an open area just down the hall where we could view the sun rise over the beach and ocean. Tips on reserving a room: Our room was a "Premium River View" room located in the newer building. I have seen reviews online suggesting that standard rooms in the "older" building may not be as well maintained as those in the newer 4 story building where we stayed. Ocean view rooms with balcony are pricier than river view, but not necessarily worth the additional cost due to road noise when the balcony door is open.

The staff was amazing. They were very helpful and kind. We were in a room beside the pool and it could use some updates in the bathroom. Also, there was not a coffee machine in the room. Pool was great. Having a restaurant on site was super convenient. However, there were no snacks available. No vending machines or other ways to purchase snacks. Overall, would definitely stay again! The location is perfect!

Great access to the private beach. Great views on both the river and ocean side. Having the tiki bar and food at the pool is a plus, although it wasn't open during the week during our September visit.

Staff was very good. Pool can get crowded. 5 min drive to many dinning locations. They have a nice bar /lunch facility. Fish TACOS are amazing. We did not bring kids but a good number of families having a good time. The views are unbeatable.

Property was clean, newer. Ad says oool and bar, but being Springtime we knew the outdoor pool would not be open, but the bar wasn’t either. Really no other facilities other than a room. Walking distance to the beach, but nothing else. Center of town is a couple miles down the road

Nice hotel with the pool and cafe/bar. Right near the beach. We had a premium room with ocean view. Clean and almost empty beach. Friendly staff at the front desk and in the cafe. Weak and unsteady internet signal is a minus in 21st century and the pool water was pretty cold. Cafe food and live music were nice, but cafe kitchen closed down due to some plumbing mishap in our second day. Generally the hotel is overpriced for the level of amenities/services provided.

Not too many creature comforts available. but a clean property with a great location and free parking. No vending machine and I got food poisoning at their on-site restaurant, no one really cared.

The new rooms were beautiful with a great view no matter what side you get. The on-site restaurant has amazing food, service and views plus a good live band. Parking is very easy.

Place is a Fantastic Getaway! Location is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Unfortunately the restaurant closes after Labor day. The restaurant is Amazing!! We will definitely be back!!

Great property, beautiful place. The only down of this place is there was no where to buy breakfast or coffee in the morning. You have to drive off the property to get something to eat in the morning.
