Lovely overnight stay with our dog. Fantastic service. Free room upgrade which was much appreciated. Friendly, helpful staff, lovely food. Would definitely recommend only negative is the lack of parking. There is no car park and space in the immediate vicinity is limited.

We stayed at the Masons Arms for a wedding at the Cripps Barn and it was a short 10 minute taxi to the venue from this wonderfully quaint little stay in Mersey Hampton. Parking was free and easy, and the staff were SO incredibly helpful with finding us a taxi last minute and letting us check-in a little early to get changed. The room was great, water and shower extras provided and the breakfast the next morning was brilliant. Couldn't recommend any higher, but just make sure you book taxis in advance where possible as the companies usually have to travel from Circencester to pick you up!

Enjoyed the two nights here great choice of food and wines, very pleasant staff small but comfy room comfortable bed Unfortunatley no water available this morning so no showers but the hotel could not take the blame the whole village was without water i would return again.

Very quaint country pub with rooms. The food was excellent, good wholesome English food, very generous generous portions. Fabulous log fires and good atmosphere. The room was small and cute, nicely done. The only downside was that the bathroom was extremely wet from condensation after a shower. Breakfast was fast and again very good.

Nice quaint old building which has been upgraded into a very comfortable hotel. The room was quit a good size with comfortable bed and clean modern ensuite. Unfortunately there was no air-conditioning and as the weather was very hot it was a bit too warm even with the floor standing fan which had been provided. The room we were in was beside a water tank which had a quit noisey pump running when people were using the sink or showers in their rooms. This was quite unusual for a hotel and quite annoying. The breakfast was superb with an extensive menu and was served by the very friendly staff. Parking at the hotel was quite limited with only 3 spaces and then on road parking. Overall we enjoyed our stay but would probably not stay there again.

Nice building, above a pub-restaurant, kind and friendly service. Pet friendly. The room was rather small, without even a small wardrobe. The bathroom was really minimal, with the toilet practically wedged under the sink. Excellent starting point during our visit between Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, good for a weekend. Good breakfast overall, both in terms of quality and the range of items on offer. Overall, a good evaluation of the structure from my point of view. In my opinion, the cost was slightly high considering the service offered.

This is probably the best pub I have stayed in especially as it has first class service for dogs. 1)Welcome from staff great 2)rooms super clean 3) beds great quality 4) bar lovely 5)food menu great in the evening 6) breakfast excellent 7) dog bowls, food and towels all thought of which is A* If you want me to be super critical then for the quality of the burger that we ate… it deserves a brioche bun and not a bap! Will be back 100%

What a little gem. We booked for one night, great value, staff amazing, and beautiful location in picturesque village. We booked a table for Sunday lunch and it was the best roast we’d had in a long time. My only comment would be bar closed early on a Sunday night but bar staff still served is a drink to have in our room. Would definitely recommend and stay again

We had the room cleaned well after the first night, however the subsequent service was not as great - room was barely tidied up. Breakfast quality also depends on the chef for the day, so it can be inconsistent too. Overall still a nice stay though.

Had a great night’s stay. The room was spotlessly clean thanks to Tina’s hard work. And breakfast was delicious. Very impressed with the selection and the hot choices from the menu. Kate who was on breakfast service was great and recommended a lovely walk before I headed off.

Beautiful setting Rooms were so nicely set up Plenty of room bathrooms equipped with cute supplies Tea and coffee trays with water and cookies were a beautiful touch! Very clean and comfy beds . The breakfast included was also delicious and plenty of choices off a menu ! Fully recommend this cute place .

I had a pleasant stay. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the blinds and window seals were a bit dusty, which triggered my allergies and caused frequent sneezing.

Warm welcome, tasteful comfortable room, lovely evening meal. WIFI a bit patchy due to stone walls but to be expected. Lovely breakfast but not severed until 8.30 which was a little late for business people.

This is a brilliant place to stay. Lovely ancient pub, very cosy. Food is delicious ! The waitresses are adorable and can't do enough for you. Our room was spacious with a good mattress. A bonus in the bathroom: ginger-scented toiletries! Only downside: deliveries at 6am, just under our window...

Lovely village pub, with a friendly welcome. Food was great, room clean and comfortable. When informed that I'd have to leave before breakfast, there was no hesitation in providing me with a packed continental breakfast of croissants, yogurt, juice and jam. I think I've found a new favourite for when I'm working in the area!

Very friendly welcome, comfortable room with luxurious bed linen, delicious food - I had supper and breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and what’s more, kindly found my left-behind glasses so I could return to collect them. Great customer service.

Fantastic worth every penny great welcome great staff and fantastic breakfast we ate at yhe masons arms and found locally sourced ingredients cooked to perfection with great service what an evening will be remembered fondly

Service and care was very good. Room was comfortable and clean, toiletries included. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and the chef prepared a lactose free sauce especially for my sister. We were having to leave early the next morning prior to breakfast, so we were given a breakfast bag to take with us.

We stayed at the Masons Arms for a wedding at the Cripps Barn and it was a short 10 minute taxi to the venue from this wonderfully quaint little stay in Mersey Hampton. Parking was free and easy, and the staff were SO incredibly helpful with finding us a taxi last minute and letting us check-in a little early to get changed. The room was great, water and shower extras provided and the breakfast the next morning was brilliant. Couldn't recommend any higher, but just make sure you book taxis in advance where possible as the companies usually have to travel from Circencester to pick you up!

The Mason's Arms is a beautiful little country hotel in a delightful part of England. We stayed here to attend a family wedding in the nearby Cripps Barn. The rooms were lovely and well equipped. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was fab. Would 100% recommend The Mason's Arms for a stay in the Cotswolds.

The room was small, low ceilings in the room and bathroom. The bed is just a double, 4'6'' whic in this day and age is on the small side given most of us now enjoy sleeping in 5' beds at home if not bigger. The evening meal was very disappointing, poor quality and the choice very much along the lines of so many other mediocre pubs, burger, fish and chips etc. Breakfast was also poor, Overcooked scambled eggs, cheap bacon and overcooked poached eggs. The coffee was undrinkable.

Very quaint country pub with rooms. The food was excellent, good wholesome English food, very generous generous portions. Fabulous log fires and good atmosphere. The room was small and cute, nicely done. The only downside was that the bathroom was extremely wet from condensation after a shower. Breakfast was fast and again very good.

Fabulous Cotswold stone country inn. Beautifully modernised with very comfortable bedroom. Also a great chef! We had an excellent lunch and a great breakfast the following morning. Can recommend it highly, and we’ll certainly be back for a longer stay.

Very friendly welcome, comfortable room with luxurious bed linen, delicious food - I had supper and breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and what’s more, kindly found my left-behind glasses so I could return to collect them. Great customer service.

The room was nice, clean and comfortable but the breakfast was over the top outstanding! I had the Mason’s classic English breakfast and it was the best breakfast I had during my entire three week stay in the UK.

Ett jättetrevligt hotell och restaurang! Vi blev väldigt trevligt bemötta, rummet var rymligt och jättefint. Frukosten var fantastisk, speciellt deras eggs royal. Vi åt även en väldigt god middag på hotellet kvällen vi kom.

Our room was tiny and very hot. We were told nothing else was available even though I had booked 18 months ago. There was an inadequate fan in the room. We reported a broken shower rail to the manager. When we arrived back late after going to a wedding, not only was the shower not fixed but the room had not been serviced. The soaking wet towels (because of the shower failure) were still in the shower, we had no water to drink and no clean towels. The next morning the manager apologised but has so far failed to contact us with any sort of compensation offer. The restaurant and breakfast was very good and the staff were on the whole friendly and helpful.

A stay built around our dogs proved to be perfect. Great friendly atmosphere and top quality produce in the meals and breakfasts. Very thoughtfully provided an information sheet of village walks for the dogs also spare bowls , towels and treats. The evening meal menu was very appealing and the dog menus were a lovely touch. The room was a decent size with all conveniences and a very fluffy bed. Definitely recommended for travels with your favourite furry friends so that’s 5 stars from us.
