Lovely landlady made us very welcome. The whole place is very olde worlde, which I really like. The room had all we needed and more. Quiet, due to the cottages thick walls, no doubt. Plenty of parking. Nice soft, twin beds. The photo does it justice.

Fantastic place to stay . Rooms very clean and comfortable. Food excellent we ate in the restaurant 2 nights in a row superb value for money and lovely setting in the railway carriage . The food all fresh ingredients and well presented . Everyone in the restaurant was saying how delicious the food was and the portions were very generous. I can’t put into words how nice it was try it for yourself and you won’t be disappointed . The hosts were very friendly and very helpful nothing was too much trouble 10 out of 10 for everything.

We have stayed here total of 5 times in the last 14 months while travelling UK from Canada. Friendly owners who are very easy to get along with. Xcellent food and service in a repurposed 1st class train carriage.

Room and bathroom were extremely clean and well kept. Pub is separate from the rooms but about 20 meters walk away and they serve food which is convenient. Very quiet area. Comfy beds. Plenty of parking. Easy drive to Bath from here, took about 25 mins. Complementary tea and coffe sachets with kettle and biscuits. Full length mirror and then another mirror in bathroom and another infront of the desk area. Good size bathroom with well working shower which is nice and hot.

Clean, spacey, and warm room in very good condition. Also the toilet/bathroom was clean and in very good condition. There was a Pub (The Old Station Inn) where was the reception. The lady in the Pub was very kind and helpful. In general the whole place was very good. Recommended

The owners of the property were lovely, they were very welcoming. The dining option was great; we dined in an old railway carriage, and the food was tasty and plentiful. However, the room was in a poor state, on our way in there was a strong smell of urine. Once inside the room, the smell changed to damp, the window was wide open when we arrived but this had no effect on the smell. The bathroom was dirty, thick dust on the radiator, mould on the electric shower control box, mould on the showerhead, mould on the sealant around the bath, and dead flies in the overhead light. There had been a water leak in the bathroom as the wooden panel behind the toilet was warped and the door was water damaged. In the bedroom, there was an oil filled radiator which was absolutely filthy.The bed was a small double.The divan bed base was mouldy as was the mattress. The mattress was old, stained and topped with a mattress topper, this did nothing, the bed was uncomfortable and we did not sleep properly. Our room (no 4) is not suitable for guests, it needs the damp sorting, a new bed and a good clean. It would also have been nice to have some toiletries in the bathroom.

The room was clean enough but abit dated, heating not working so had to have a portable heater plugged in. The bathroom needs to be looked at as a fair bit of damp and mould around. Shower was decent even though it looks like its from the 80s. Was nice and quiet and nipped across for a quick drink which was ok, the pub is very quirky not to everyones taste.

The staff seemed friendly and waited for me as I was later than anticipated. The room was varied. The bed was uncomfortable, the mattress was old with a very inadequate mattress topper on it. The carpet didn't quite fit so was a different carpet under the desk. The room was very hot and weirdly despite being about 23 degrees outside the heating was on. The shower rail and the light fitting in the bathroom had rust spots on them. The oil-filled radiator had thick dust on it. My biggest issue was the safety. The outer door had a strange push button latch as well as a handle - I struggled to open it and the owner came over and helped me in. From the inside of my room, there was no handle just the Yale latch. The door was very tight in the frame and I struggled to open the door from the inside. I was on the verge of phoning for help the first time I tried to leave. The 2nd morning I got a friend to push the door from the outside and left it ajar. If there was a fire I doubt I would have got out.

It was one night stay on a trip to Bath, nice little place with amazing, unusual look, just basic but enough for one night. There is pub and restaurant, not available for breakfasts. We didn't eat, but had a little cider in the pub which looks fantastic! Even with the pub in the building next to the rooms, it was very quite place, so don't stress about the noises. Check in was in the pub, to check out you just drop the key to the letter box, so very easy. Overall, with the good price (£68 for 2 beds), and didtance of 8 miles to Bath - it was a good choice, recommend it

Stayed here for a few nights with my mom. Was an hour from bath on the bus, about 25 minutes with uber, but there was a bus stop right by the inn, so that was convenient. Everything was clean, but could use some updates like AC and better mattresses and pillows. Food at the inn was fantastic and it was a cool experience dining in the train car

Had the worst nights sleep, the mattress was so bad we would have been better off not having it. I am not tall but my feet over hung the end of the bed and everytime you moved the noise from the mattress and fear of falling off as it was so small just meant no sleep! Didnt eat here so cannot comment on that. But shame the room was good just need a bigger bed and new mattress!!!

The Old Station is a wonderfully quirky pub, with a dining room which is an old train carriage. The rooms are themed - we had the New York room - and with fun decorative touches like the cat and mouse stickers on the wall. The only thing that stops the Old Station from getting the full 5 stars in every question is the low pressure in the shower. It was OK for a basic wash, but I’d not want to wash my hair in it.

Had a nice stay and would stay again every one friends only down side at night it gets very cold in the room and to cold to shower in the morning if like me you have an early star and there is no door stop around the door on room 1 so when the is shut you can still out as well as see in not that any one would want to look at my naked body but it also lets in a lot of light from the hall if you like it dark when you sleep

Always a lovely place to stay and perfect after a very long day whenever you can't physically drive all the way home (which is another 50 minutes) Very understanding proprietor who is always happy forvus to arrive in the middle of the night by prior arrangement.

The Inn has zero flexibility with check-ins. If you are at all likely to run late, don't bother making a reservation. The money is likely wasted. We called the venue 2.5 hours in advance to inform them that we had been stuck in traffic and would arrive a little bit late for a one night stay the same night. We would have arrived no more than half an hour past check-in time. The lady on the phone responded rather abruptly to inform me that we will not be checking in or be staying at the hotel that night if we arrive after 11pm. When asked if there was anything that could be done, the response was no. While I understand that each venue has their own policies and generally support this, there should be flexibility for unforeseen circumstances. This is honestly a first for me. I've stayed in a wide range of hotels, hostels, Inn's, home stays, camps sites etc, but have never before been met with such a lack of compassion or customer service. It was not possible to get a refund and we were left to fend for ourselves that night. Which was a bit of a blow to say the least, given that it was the venue that refused to accommodate us. Terrible start to what was meant to be a lovely birthday weekend. Can not recommend.

The lady on the phone responded rather abruptly to inform me that we will not be checking in or be staying at the hotel that night if we arrive after 11pm. When asked if there was anything that could be done, the response was no. While I understand that each venue has their own policies and generally support this, there should be flexibility for unforeseen circumstances. This is honestly a first for me. I've stayed in a wide range of hotels, hostels, Inn's, home stays, camps sites etc, but have never before been met with such a lack of compassion or customer service. It was not possible to get a refund and we were left to fend for ourselves that night. Which was a bit of a blow to say the least, given that it was the venue that refused to accommodate us. Terrible start to what was meant to be a lovely birthday weekend. Can not recommend.

A great spot for easy access to Bath, Bristol and the delightful village of Cheddar and the gorge. Staff were so helpful and friendly and the food they prepared was plentiful and tasty. We can recommend a meal in the gorgeous train carriage attached to the bar - a lovely experience.

We had a very comfortable stay at The Old Station Inn. Staff were really friendly and helpful upon arrival. Our room was actually much better than I had anticipated (the photo's don't really do it justice). Our room was refreshed even though we only stayed two nights. Excellent service and room all round, just a shame that we were so busy during our stay that we didn't have time to have a meal at the restaurant on site as it looked fabulous!

It was one night stay on a trip to Bath, nice little place with amazing, unusual look, just basic but enough for one night. There is pub and restaurant, not available for breakfasts. We didn't eat, but had a little cider in the pub which looks fantastic! Even with the pub in the building next to the rooms, it was very quite place, so don't stress about the noises. Check in was in the pub, to check out you just drop the key to the letter box, so very easy. Overall, with the good price (£68 for 2 beds), and didtance of 8 miles to Bath - it was a good choice, recommend it

Stayed here for a few nights with my mom. Was an hour from bath on the bus, about 25 minutes with uber, but there was a bus stop right by the inn, so that was convenient. Everything was clean, but could use some updates like AC and better mattresses and pillows. Food at the inn was fantastic and it was a cool experience dining in the train car

It's quite far from Bristol City centre, considering having to be at work for 9am, I bet you have to leave around 730ish. The bath was not cleaned as the floor was wet, and the bath blind had not been washed for a while as you could see dirts at the bottom and on the folds. On a hot day, it is difficult as there is no front window to allow ventilation. No fan. No pressing iron for laundry. No food if you are arriving after 9 pm till after 12 noon the next day so prepare Overall, if you just need a place to lay your head overnight, it is a good choice to make.

Room and bathroom were extremely clean and well kept. Pub is separate from the rooms but about 20 meters walk away and they serve food which is convenient. Very quiet area. Comfy beds. Plenty of parking. Easy drive to Bath from here, took about 25 mins. Complementary tea and coffe sachets with kettle and biscuits. Full length mirror and then another mirror in bathroom and another infront of the desk area. Good size bathroom with well working shower which is nice and hot.

A great quirky pub with basic but clean accommodation. Debbie was a wonderful hostess and Neville a fantastic cook. We ate in the carriage of a train which was absolutely fantastic. The food was superb. Stayed for 2 nights as we were visiting Cheddar Gorge. The locals made us feel really welcome and it was a real friendly atmosphere. Would certainly recommend the Inn for a stay.

Fantastic place to stay . Rooms very clean and comfortable. Food excellent we ate in the restaurant 2 nights in a row superb value for money and lovely setting in the railway carriage . The food all fresh ingredients and well presented . Everyone in the restaurant was saying how delicious the food was and the portions were very generous. I can’t put into words how nice it was try it for yourself and you won’t be disappointed . The hosts were very friendly and very helpful nothing was too much trouble 10 out of 10 for everything.

I reached out for a resolution after my stay and to discuss my issues/findings, holding off on reviewing until they had a chance. However 3 weeks have passed since they acknowledged and nothing has come. I will not be staying here again. On a plus note, the staff member who was running the bar was very attentive to all customers for the short period I was in there.

All the staff were very welcoming and friendly especially Kurt and Jo Jo. We stayed in the comfort room which was ideal for overnight. It is pet friendly but we decided not to take our dog this time. We had a meal in the carriage which was fantastic and good value and afterwards joined the entertainment which was brilliant. They are not doing cooked breakfast at the moment but had a continental one in our room. Overall we had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back with the dog

Lovely place. No cooked breakfast but the provided was excellent. Only criticism of breakfast was that it included yoghurts and it was there on our arrival and considering the current heat, there was no where to keep the yoghurts cool.
