The staff is friendly, the location is perfect. The roof top bar and restaurant is really nice. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice. The rooms are pretty small but still nice and cozy the only thing i didn't like was the bed it was too hard for me i didn't get any sleep in the bed.

Amazing location, cool hotel, the pool area and rooftop are great. The only issue is the size of the room. For a family of 4, there was no place for the suitcases, no fridge and no wardrobe/closet space. I’d still stay again but no more than a few days because of the room size. Overall we loved it though!

Great Hotel a minute walk to South Beach. 3 days here before a cruise out of FLL. Jeffrey the barman made some amazing Margarita's and had a great sense of humour, The girls at the breakfast bar were helpful, efficient and made some lovely Cuban breakfast sandwiches. Room was modern and functional, there was a safe in the room contrary to some posts. Main pool and rooftop pool were fantastic as were the views. Free coffee, yoghurts, muffins, cereal bars and fruit at breakfast bar. Was apprehensive due to one or two negative reviews but this hotel was excellent and we as a family from the UK loved it and the staff. Highly recommend. If there was one criticism it would be that 3 cups (think they were less than a pint) of draft beer at $31+ total is a bit pricey.

The location was great. The rooftop is beautiful, especially at night. The pool on the second floor is a decent size pool and was enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel

Absolutely loved this hotel! Such a perfect location and I had a stunning ocean view room which I could watch the sunrise from. Super comfortable room and love the art deco theme throughout. Only downside was that the 8th floor area was continuously booked out for special events so as a hotel guest I could not spend any time there.

The property is so nice! Love the option of two pools and restaurants on site. The only draw back is no fridge in the rooms or available ice machines. (First world problems, I know) Otherwise I would highly recommend!

Worst Moxy hotel ever. Hotel is as expected, fun and lively. But Marriot/Moxy experience was below par. 1. continental breakfast: a light breakfast, typically consisting of coffee and rolls with butter and jam is the dictionary explanation and not what we experienced. Natural Valley bar and prepackaged muffin is what was provided. 2. Coffee was out at 9:30 AM and we were told to purchase is from the shop as it was out. 3. Paying double the price of a cocktail to take it to the hotel pool is highway robbery. 4. Only 6 bikes and never a chance to use them even if it’s free for 2 hours. 5. Beach service is poor. Only we’re able to use it 1 day during our stay as it was inconsistent. 6. Room is small as advertised but 2 hangers to utilize and no drawers is a bit of a push.

The front desk staff at this hotel were amazing! The hotel was conveniently located and pretty clean. It could definitely use some freshening up (ripped/stained pillows, rusty faucets, peeling paint, etc.) especially for the price. We were sad that the rooftop deck was closed the whole night for a private party because that was one of the main reasons we booked this specific hotel (rooftop sunset). The area outside of the hotel reeked of garbage; luckily the inside smelled much better. The staff were definitely the highlight of this hotel.

As a seasoned traveler who has stayed in Marriott properties across the globe, I expected consistency, cleanliness, and professionalism. Unfortunately, Moxy Miami was hands-down the worst Marriott experience I’ve ever had. This hotel is a complete disappointment and does not reflect the standards or values of the Marriott brand. The problems started immediately. Before arriving, we were told by a staff member named Nicky that valet parking would be $49. However, when we arrived, we were given three different prices—one by the valet, another by the front desk, and a third from printed signage. Confusing, disorganized, and misleading. Room issues were constant. Our first room was unbearably hot—the AC barely worked, and we were left sweating inside. We requested a room change, and while we were moved, the second room had the same problem. Multiple staff came to “adjust” the thermostat, but nothing improved. On top of that, the shower door was broken and never repaired during our stay. The toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall, and worst of all, the shower was visibly unclean, with pubic hair stuck to the walls. This is completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one affiliated with MarrHousekeeping was nonexistent. We were told rooms are cleaned every other day—but that’s not what happened. We went three days without a room cleaning, no fresh towels, no toilet paper, no trash removal. We had to take our own garbage out to the hallway, including used toilet pape

Got stuck in an elevator for 15 minutes, room smelled awful, no refrigerator/microwave, no where to move around in room, shampoo and conditioner were poor quality, no soap, when the maids came in, they didn't even make the beds, towels had someone else's hair on them, and in the future, let the patrons know that they will be paying $30.00 PER DAY to use the beach access and pool.

The localisation is optimal, many restaurents and close too the beach. The personal was nice in général. The rooms are too small, bed take the whole room. When we got the room, there was beard hair and hair in bathroom. We asked the room too be done after two days and we noticed that they havn’t changed the sheets. There is no fridge in the room!

I visited the Moxy in Ny and had a completely different experience. This Moxy wasn’t clean. The room smelled of mildew. It was so poorly ventilated that our towels didn’t dry. The room was dusty and small.

The room we stayed in was VERY clean, as in spotless. All staff members we encountered were helpful and professional. The exterior of the Moxy was modest, but once you walked in, the interior was stunning. We enjoyed our stay!! Very good location, we walked every where. Cons: Room space was limited and with no drawers or closet we hung our clothes on hooks on the wall and looked at our clothes 24/7. When moving about the room we tripped over each other. Great bedding and we slept soundly.

The amenities and location are why I chose to stay here. I also favor Marriott over any other hotel chains. I was disappointed to start as our room was dirty and had a musty smell. One of my 3 kids ended up sick but it seemed to be only when we were in the room. On day 2 we found bugs crawling up the walls of the bathroom and one side of the bunk beds. I called the front desk, they said they would send someone up right away, no one ever came for the next 2 days to address the issue despite me calling again and again. Housekeeping would come and replace towels but do nothing else so I would empty trash and leave it in the hallway for them each morning. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not for the high price and fees you pay compared to what you get

As a Marriott Platinum Elite member I take joy in the perks. I was hoping to get an upgrade but hotel was fully booked. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was small and I kept bumping into the base of the bed which is made out of wood and hurts. Location is perfect

The room had hardly no room to walk around in. Extremely small. No desk, no chairs, no refrigerator, no closet, no microwave, and last but not least no scenic view. Just a view of the alley and the apartment building next door. Price to park the car $54 a night, totally insane. Extra charge, which is called destination fee. For the use or services of a luxury chair at the pool, bike rentals for two, and complimentary chips and salsa at the restaurant. None of those three things we actually use but we had to pay $30 for it anyway. For a luxury hotel with a charge was over $200 a night totally unacceptable. I was booked for two nights and told them I wasn't staying here the second night. Can not tell you how unhappy I was along with my wife who is totally upset. One because she needs a wheelchair or a walker to get around room had no way to actually get the wheelchair in. All we can use was the Walker. The other reason is we are senior citizens, and we was in a hotel that was totally a party atmosphere with young people. Chances of us ever booking again with hotels.com will be slim to none.

Just stayed at the Moxy a Marriott hotel and had the worst stay in any hotel ever. A/C is non existent room is boiling asked someone to fix it 4 times until I gave up & couldn’t sleep at all as too hot 30+. No fridge, wardrobe, tea/coffee making facility, table or anything apart from beds. Room tiny & service terrible. Will complain to Marriott but don’t expect a reply. Don’t book this hotel!!!

I did not like the tiny space stuffed with 2 beds that was passed off as a room that can accommodate 4 people. Marriot Moxy needs to reposition their marketing as being for tiny people, with no luggage, and then maybe they can fit into and function normally in that room. I arrived there with my 3 kids and we are small to normal sized, along with our suitcases. With the latter upright, there is no way to pass from beds to door. No closet space available, no chair, tiny space between the beds ... completely claustrophobic. Utter disappointment. And they know of this. No surprise from the front service desk when I complained and stated I have to change hotels. A normal sized family CANNOT function in there so steer clear of this place!! Marriott has to be upfront and transparent with their marketing but are not. I was penalized with 1 night of paying for this disaster, and went along just to expedite the situation but really the hotel should be on the hook. Absolutely ridiculous that this room is passed off as for up to 4 people. Save yourselves the headache and don't even bother looking at this line of hotels.

Room was cramped for four and hot. Prices in restaurant crazy expensive. I had a fraudulent charge on my credit card first day! Support staff was very friendly. Beach chairs only two per room. Bikes nice perk. Pool was nice and not crowded any day we were there. Never got to see Upside because two private events both days. I highly recommend visiting Calle Ocho Lil Havana for restaurants with great prices, free live entertainment, beautiful art and lots of shopping options.

Tiny room for 4 people!

The hotel and Staff are Amazing!!

The guest rooms are very tiny- which was expected, but they we also had some loud neighbors- the walls are thin. The staff was very nice and pleasant- but more staff is needed for check in. We waited for about 30-40 min to check in.

First time in Miami. The Moxy was amazing! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious and clean. Vibes were perfect. Pool party was so much fun!!! The food was delicious. Location is perfect, central to everything on South Beach. Definitely coming back in 3 months. Thank you Moxy for the best stay and experience.

We had to ask front desk twice a day to have our rooms cleaned-nobody ever came. They would say we would deny service when, we would never even be in our rooms to inform anyone. So odd

Hotel double charged me for the stay. I paid Expedia for the stay upfront, and the hotel took a card for incidentals at check in. Upon leaving, they charged my card for the entire value of the stay plus the typical additional fees. Nobody in their accounting department is responding to me, so likely I'll have to deal with the credit card company issuing them a chargeback and then we can fight it out from there. More work and time than should be needed for something so minor. I had a second booking I made for family to join us on the trip, and there were no issues with that one.

I booked the hotel via Hotels.com the morning before our trip. I received a confirmation email immediately. 7 hours later, I received an email from the Operations Director at the Moxy titled "reservation unavailable" which contained the following: "We received your booking today - Thank you so much for considering Moxy Miami South Beach for your stay! We tried reaching you by phone but were not able to reach you. Unfortunately, at this time, we don’t have the KING Room you selected. We are happy to welcome you, we can secure a room- however it's only the BUNK BEDS Apologies for this glitch. Please call us Marriott Hotel Reservations: 1(888)236-2427 if you have any questions." I did not receive a voice mail and my call log confirmed no one "tried to call" before they DOWNGRADED my room due to their "glitch". I responded at first opportunity. When I had not received a reply the following morning, I called the number the Operations Manager provided to see if 1) why my room was downgraded instead of upgraded as a result of their "glitch" 2) if I still had a room at all when I arrived in two hours. They could see what had transpired and confirmed better rooms available. However, they were not able to change the reservation. That apparently can only be done at the hotel. They tried calling the front desk but could not get through. They sent them an email and suggested I try calling. After multiple attempts, someone finally answered and moved us to a queen room.

Good Location

Hotel was conveniently located 3 blocks from the beach and Ocean Drive. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and beach. Great ambiance within the hotel. Great customer service and attentiveness to needs. The AC in my Ocean View room was not working properly during the day requiring us to check out early and upon mention was credited the Destination Fee. Otherwise, very pleased with my accommodation.

The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach, great restaurants, and plenty of shopping. My room clean and comfortable (AC worked well). The hotel lobby bar had great drinks and a nice atmosphere. I didn’t get a chance to try the other bars and restaurants on-site, but based on my experience, I’d imagine they’re just as good. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Perfectly located

Swanky... is how I describe this place. There is a vibe, and I like it. However, in some ways that vibe can be a little bit of a tourist trap for college Spring Breakers, leaving the more mature (me), a bit annoyed. Didn't appreciate giving coupons as tease. One for the rooftop bar (that doesn't exist), and the other for "Chips" (no salsa) and also $20 to tease you in to more overpriced food. I will write a review highly recommending go visit the local restaurants and spend your money there and get more out of Miami.

Beautiful, gorgeous view from roof top, clean, great restaurant with fun vibe, clean, friendly valet, easy walk to Ocean Drive. We loved it!

Property in good location,tooo much perfume in the lobby,Staff with limited English, check in info says free continental breakfast but it was not. Room does not have a table and not spacious. Not highly recommended.

Very pricey like all hotels in Miami South Beach. We booked a room with complimentary continental breakfast, what a disappointing was it. Only croissants, muffin, banana and coffee/tea was available. And sometimes the stock has left. You should not advertise with continental breakfast include. It’s a nice surprise when it is available if you arrive and was not aware but if you advert you should do better research as hotel what is exactly a continental breakfast. Staff was also not very friendly. They do not have draft beer. Still some facilities were closed. Seems the hotel is in a kind of pre opening phase. Also not very family friendly. Loud music in the lobby. Rooms are small and no daily housekeeping. Price quality is therefore not OK and also the price you see on Expedia is not what you pay on the spot as they charge all kind of additional taxes. Even 200 dollar deposit per room is crazy. Pool is nice but water is dirty. Do not use their Valet parking service as the price is high, 45 dollar per overnight stay. Better park in garage P1 just a 5 minute walk and maximum 20 dollar per 24 hours. A hotel not recommended.

Good location, clean room, nice restaurant (Serena), small room, no place to leave suitcase, no cabinets or drawers for clothes, no mini fridge

Great clean amenities, rooms are small but plenty of places to hangout in the hotel. One thing I didn’t like was that I paid $24 for a water down mojito in a small Dixie cup. They could do better and sell more if it was fairly priced. I would go back to the hotel but wouldn’t spend a dime at the bar

Overall the property was clean and updated, small rooms. Short walk to the beach. Nice pool with rooftop and restaurant, only issue was that the bartenders were really rude and didn’t give great service.
