We arrived early and had a drink in the beautiful beer garden which can accommodate well over 100 seated,super tidy and clean,on check in we were given room 9 which is above the gents toilets,yes you hear the hand drier going off during pub hours but the room was overlooking the 5 furlong start of the races,breakfast was great and good quality ingredients,staff super friendly and rooms were perfect,will definitely return

Parking excellent and the room was great. Breakfast was good also. The only downside of the trip was that unfortunately I left 2 items behind when leaving. On arrival at home I telephoned the hotel about 5 hours later. I was told to ring back in the morning which I did. Unfortunately nothing was handed in to the reception. It was my fault obviously, however let this be a lesson to any further guests to make sure you don't leave anything.

Fabulous location a short drive or park & ride bus from the city centre. Lovely setting and well maintained. Staff were friendly and happy to assist. Food was lovely, with a nice selection for breakfast. Rooms were well designed and spacious, with a lovely private courtyard. Loved being able to have my dog with me and she was even permitted in the bar and breakfast room (not in main area near breakfast bar, which was fine as I had company to watch her). Would stay again 😁

Lovely room overlooking Bath Racecourse. Nice breakfast to set you up for a days sightseeing. Perfect location for either making the 10 minute drive in to Bath, or to use the nearby Park & Ride. Let the bus take the strain and not have to worry about parking, or overstaying.

Great accommodation, food at the pub was really good, friendly staff. The room was really warm but easily adjustable if too warm/cold. Bed was good for bad backs. The park and ride into Bath was 2 mins in the car so easily walkable. Cost us less than £3 each on the park and ride, that was for return trip and parking.

Room very nice but not luxury, not very private if u wanted to have fresh air in the room due position of windows. Bathroom could probably do with new grout between tiles and sealant around edge of shower door. Pub a little bit over priced for a drink. But it’s ok for a one night stay.

Disappointed with the room service and cleanliness, no shampoo, no tissues, no bath mat (2 days). Windows need net coverage, completely open to view, had to keep blinds down each morning to get showered and dressed.

Upon arrival all of the staff we spoke to were fantastic and really engaging. The food at breakfast and dinner was beautifully cooked and the guestroom was a great size and very clean.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The **food was excellent** – fresh, tasty, and well-prepared. Although several items were unavailable from the menu, what we were able to order arrived promptly and didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, the **customer service felt a bit stretched**. It took around 20 minutes before anyone approached us to take our order or offer drinks, which suggests the team may be **understaffed**. The **room above the pub** was cosy and nicely decorated, though on the **smaller side**. The **bed was very comfortable**, which was a definite plus. However, **cleanliness could be improved** – our white socks quickly turned grey from walking on the floor, and the **shower needed a deep clean**. We also noticed **dust gathering in odd places**, like between the door frame and bathroom. Noise might be a consideration for some – **the road outside is busy**, and traffic noise was noticeable, which might not suit light sleepers. That said, the **location is excellent** for access into town. Overall, if you're looking for great food and a convenient location, this place ticks those boxes, but there are areas – especially cleanliness and staffing – that could use attention. -

Lovely hotel and pub. Free parking, park n ride into barh on the doorstep. The staff were really friendly. The bar was well stocked. The rooms were in a little courtyard and spotlessly clean, modern and spacious. Breakfast was included and was awesome. All the staff were efficient, friendly and welcoming. Everything we could possibly ask for. Our cockapoo loved it too. Thank you guys next time we visit Bath you’ll be our number one choice

The ratings I have given are a bit misleading as this is a superb hotel. Very quaint and beautiful rooms and surroundings. We were in the courtyard outside the hotel. Even though there were about 10 outside rooms, we were given an adjoining room. The room was lovely with wooden floors. Unfortunately, the adjoining room was given to a young family with 2 toddlers. It literally felt that the children were in our room. Their footsteps running around the room prevented us from having an afternoon nap before our planned, late night. At 6.30am the next morning then, the toddlers woke up, so again, it was the end of our sleep. Given there were about 10 of these 'chalets' available we felt it very unfair to be given an adjoining room with a family with such young children.

Lovely looking room, limited but great food on the menu, which i liked and must help the chef. Wht let the stable rooms down was their thin walls between rooms. Ot was fine until neighbours moved in, and i heard everything, every splash, everything!

Very comfortable, stylish room with lovely decor. Bed was comfy and the shower was powerful. Very quiet location with views over the racecourse. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Had an amazing evening meal, good choice of drinks. Enjoyed breakfast in the morning with a choice of cereal, yogurts and juice and a cooked option. We both had poached eggs which were cooked perfectly. Only slight downside was due to the layout of the rooms it felt necessary to keep the blind shut so other guests couldn’t see in. Would highly recommend and will be back.

Mattress was very hard and lumpy and creaky, room was too warm having to leave window open all night and risking security. Their was a fan provided but it was far too noisy to leave on. Other than that staff were very friendly and professional. Food quality and taste was excellent.

We loved staying at this fantastic old pub the staff were great breakfast was fantastic and included in the price. The only 2 things I would change is the bed, it was rock hard and could’ve don’t with a soft top mattress topper to fix this problem, and there was no air conditioner and the room was very hot so a ceiling fan or even a pedestal fan could be in the rooms. Other than that everything else was great.

Windows facing into courtyard meant that blinds needed to be kept closed for privacy making it dark. a canopy between rooms and main building would have been good when raining. Convenient for Park and Ride into Bath.

The pub is in an excellent spot about 7 mins walks to the park and ride bus into Bath. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent we had an evening meal and breakfast- both were homemade and delicious. My only slight negative was i found the bed very hard, saying thst was husband didn't- not easy to please everyone!

The staff were very good but we got charged for our room on arrival and I had paid in advance. It was sorted out when I located my receipt and we were refunded. There was a clerical error. Apart from that, we had a good stay and the hotel was well located on the edge of Bath. Would probably use again.

A very cute inn with a cozy restaurant. The food was wonderful. We especially loved the chips! The room is comfy. The bus station to Bath is very close by. 2 minutes by car and buses run every 15 minutes.

Fabulous location a short drive or park & ride bus from the city centre. Lovely setting and well maintained. Staff were friendly and happy to assist. Food was lovely, with a nice selection for breakfast. Rooms were well designed and spacious, with a lovely private courtyard. Loved being able to have my dog with me and she was even permitted in the bar and breakfast room (not in main area near breakfast bar, which was fine as I had company to watch her). Would stay again 😁

Lovely hotel and pub. Free parking, park n ride into barh on the doorstep. The staff were really friendly. The bar was well stocked. The rooms were in a little courtyard and spotlessly clean, modern and spacious. Breakfast was included and was awesome. All the staff were efficient, friendly and welcoming. Everything we could possibly ask for. Our cockapoo loved it too. Thank you guys next time we visit Bath you’ll be our number one choice

Lovely room overlooking Bath Racecourse. Nice breakfast to set you up for a days sightseeing. Perfect location for either making the 10 minute drive in to Bath, or to use the nearby Park & Ride. Let the bus take the strain and not have to worry about parking, or overstaying.

Upon arrival all of the staff we spoke to were fantastic and really engaging. The food at breakfast and dinner was beautifully cooked and the guestroom was a great size and very clean.

Absolutely lovely stay very clean and the food was very nice ( very large portions) We only stayed one night then travelled down to Newquay and regret it massively won’t name which hotel but paid twice the money and it was awful. Can’t recommend this place enough you won’t be let down. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable. Mark & Pauline

The food and drink were excellent and quality in every way. The room was perfectly clean and well decorated. I normally stay in Bristol when travelling for work but the short journey from here has made this a firm favourite over any other hotels I’ve stayed at in the area.
