It was loud. Not the kind of loud that comes with a rude or noisy neighbor, but the kind that comes from rooms not being insulated properly. I could hear people next door watching TV and talking, until after 2am. The check in instructions were not clear, but the app they use to unlock doors was cool. The room was clean and I loved not having carpet. No ice maker. I couldn’t find the ice machine and no human on site to ask. Fridge in room but no coffee maker. It’s on a great location, plenty of restaurants and bars. Great concept but not executed effectively.

Could not figure out how to use the TV. So I needed to know my Google password to sign-in?? Come on. That was my major beef. It did appear that my neighbor gained access as I could hear their TV at 1am. The common room and outdoor balcony were the best part of the space (the TV out there was working!). I also appreciated the free parking right at the front door VERY much. Also thought it odd that they offer a single tampon in the bathroom -- I've never seen that in any hotel anywhere. Also the single use toothpaste, but no toothbrush. And a pencil, but no writing pad -- so strange -- were they missing some things? Otherwise, the hotel was very nice, love the industrial design and original art in the room. Also loved that there was someone there to open the front door for me and show me to the elevator. I stayed on a Monday night so the rate was super excellent.

This is every bit a minimalist property. No bells and whistles. Walls are VERY thin between rooms. When booking through Expedia, there is never a connection between the reservation and the GOKI app that’s used to access the building and your room. I’ve had to talk to the front desk person both times I’ve stayed here. Likely will not book again. Also received parking ticket ($88) even though parking is included in the reservation and when checking in at the front desk parking was not mentioned either time.

The property was simple and beautiful, the goki system was great and worked great, shops and food are all so convenient. very close to downtown and just a quick drive to lots of fort worth fun. The parking was pretty bad most of the time, and the walls are very very very thin. our neighbors seemed to spend alot of time in the hallways and when in the rooms the tv could be heard over our tv. Overall I'd stay again it was priced very well. Next time I'll do girls trip not romantic trip so the noise will not be such a problem.

too minimalist, has potential, but missing the mark, there wasn't anyone to check us in (someone eventually showed up a few minutes later), the parking payment process was confusing, the bar (which is closed and has a ton of potential was closed, but was an open space with a movie showing on a huge screen and completely dark, which created more confusion), the bathroom was huge (as was the room) but was totally open and had very little space for items, there was a cool sitting area right off of the elevator, there were no normal room items--not even kleenexes, i don't recommend staying here

I stayed in the Bluebird suite facing west and adjacent to the community kitchen and outdoor patio. The room was clean and the sunset was beautiful. It was nice to be able to smoke on the patio. It was a weekday so it was also quiet.

Very clean room; the light and windows were amazing! 🤩 The noise factor however, was terrible. We could hear every sound from other rooms. Kept us up until we gathered ear plugs. Also, there is no coffee or tea service in the room, and what was on the 4th floor was empty ☹️ And though the lounge seemed available downstairs for drinks or something, no staff were anywhere to be found. It felt like we were on our own but no sense of it being ok to serve ourselves. The room however was very spacious and clean, bright when the shades were up, and had a cool urban vibe to it!

No iron in the room. Room needed pest control a few ants and bug coming up the sink drain. Not a fan of the shower head.

I paid extra for “city view” but my view was of the parking lot in back instead. The building decor is very basic, to the level of too simple and feels almost unfinished And as the other reviews say, the walls are very thin! You will hear your neighbors and ppl in the hall. At all hours! I will say the hotel was clean

When visiting family in Fort Worth we wanted to test out Hotel Revel located in the hospital/near south side district because of its convenient location. Our experience was a bit underwhelming as finding information required some hunting or follow up directly with customer service. For example, you have to reach out to give the rep your car license plate number or else you will get fined/ticketed. Overall the room was pretty clean minus a mark on the linens and a lot of dust in the bathroom intake. I think what surprised us the most was the lack of table lamps on side tables, the HVAC had not been turned on (64 degrees when we walked in on an evening it was 40s and rainy outside), and that some things needed functional repairs (e.g., luckily we travel with some small tools to adjust the shower head so we didn’t have to hold it the whole time, but couldn’t fix the tv mount). We were able to get the room warm (make sure the on/off button glows green) and the bed was comfortable (3 standard pillows for a king size bed is also surprising), and our things and car were safe. I think they are aiming for a more minimalist luxury experience than what the hotel can currently provide and hope with some basics support they can improve.

Could not change the temperature of the room. Shower head was broken and door wouldnt close. Room was dirty of trash, cups and beer cans. No parking at all. No coffee or anything when you wake up. I have traveled for 2 years and this is the worst hotel of them all. Would not recommend. Cool looking room and view. Everything else was terrible.

Stayed in room 204. What I noticed when I entered the room was ear plugs on the bed stand. Didn’t think much of it until it was time to sleep. This room had to be right above some stage because the music was so loud it rattled the room. Not only that but there was competing music coming from outside. Stayed here for an overnight for a wrestling tournament and my kid barely slept. The hotel itself is very clean. The rooms are nice, but if you are looking for a good nights sleep, I’d find another spot.

Our shower head was broken. It was very warm and stuffy in our room and after many times of asking staff to turn on A/C or cool air, it never “kicked on” as they said. There was also fleas or gnats by our bed.

Very modern hotel. Lovely floor to ceiling glass overlooking the city. The only thing they need to improve is the climate control. Way to warm with the afternoon sun & cool in the mornings. Would not cool or heat as needed.

Not what I expected. It’s basically a cold office space with concrete floors and windows with a bed on the floor. It is so loud and hard to sleep with traffic, ambulances and helicopter noise. You can hear every noise inside the hotel as well. Will not stay there again.

The room was BEAUTIFUL?! probably one of the nicest rooms ive stayed in! walls were a little thin and neighbors did NOT obey the 10pm excessive noise restraint but besides that it was wonderful

Very different. If you are introverted this is your place. Keys are through an app. You don’t have to see or deal with anyone if you don’t want to. No amenities really but a nice big bed and a decent shower. Retro modern brutalist atmosphere. I’d do it again.

Very clean room; the light and windows were amazing! 🤩 The noise factor however, was terrible. We could hear every sound from other rooms. Kept us up until we gathered ear plugs. Also, there is no coffee or tea service in the room, and what was on the 4th floor was empty ☹️ And though the lounge seemed available downstairs for drinks or something, no staff were anywhere to be found. It felt like we were on our own but no sense of it being ok to serve ourselves. The room however was very spacious and clean, bright when the shades were up, and had a cool urban vibe to it!

Arrived at the hotel after booking with Hotels.com and tried to use the QR check in (There is nobody at this hotel) could t check in because I didn't get a confirmation code from the property yet so had to call. I was given an upgrade which was nice, but I'm guessing more because the room I booked wasn't ready. The upgraded room did not have pillow cases in the room and the pillows had stains - I called the number and was told some would be delivered. They never came so I had to use my t-shirts to make some. The first night was horrible, since there was no security there were drunk sketchy people on the 4th floor common area literally scream fighting at 3am. The second night there were, again, drunk people yelling and being loud at 2am. You can hear all of this very clearly in the rooms. I left after two nights of my 4 night stay and never went back. Cannot recommend this place unless you plan on partying the entire time.

I know that person-less services are on the rise, but not having anyone at the hotel is an issue. I’m low maintenance, but what if I needed more towels, pillows, toiletries, blanket, etc? No one there between 8 pm and 9 am is an issue. Zero people presence is not something we should accept.

This place was perfect. Shelton is by far the best and provides excellent service. Responsive and friendly. The room was just the staycation we needed. Bluebird suite is beautiful.

Hotel was great, however, there was a mixup between Expedia and Hotel Revel. We specifically booked and paid extra for the “Blue Bird” as we had stayed there before and loved it. When we arrived, our room was not booked as the “Blue Bird” but rather the “Casino”. The incorrect room was nice, but not as large and nice as the one we originally booked as it was a corner suite. Luckily, there was someone at the host stand, which is not a normal situation at this hotel. Sheldon was very happy to help and got our room swapped out for something similar to what was originally booked. Overall was a good experience but getting what we wanted would have made it great.

There is no front desk hotel staff. We didn’t realize that until we checked in. You use an app on your phone after downloaded, to get into the hotel after hours and into your room. Also watch out because they will slay a $90 parking fee on you, even if you register your car and that’s total for $0. Extremely loud throughout the night and early morning. Will not stay here again.

The hotel is very modern with high ceilings and concrete floors. The rooms are on the austere side but clean. The bed was comfy. Entry is via door codes (to the front door and your room). There is no live person/main front desk, so there is a process to this self-checkin. No problem, however, I needed to extend my stay and could not get any help merging the reservations. No one answered either phone number that was provided for Revel. That would be my main suggestion: answer the phone!

The first night we awoke to realize the air conditioner was not cooling. Room was 80 degrees. Then a light near the room entrance was randomly coming on every hour from about 2am-8am. When we reported it, Paul was not only quick to respond, he was also quick to remedy the situation. He upgraded us to a corner suite with all the city views as well as offered to buy us a meal. His staff was so kind and when we saw him later the second evening, he bought us a drink in the hotel’s very charming bar. It was a great time with great conversation with the greatest staff! Would definitely return!

Terrible setup. We paid for the night and were not even able to check in to the hotel because the QR code was on the front desk, and we were not given the code to open the doors and enter the hotel to scan it. I tried to call the hotel, but it sends you straight to a voicemail service, and no one is working the front desk. Ended up having to stay in a completely different hotel, and just waste the money I was already charged for this room. They need to have someone working the front desk, or at least answering the phones, overnight. It was incredibly disappointing. And a waste of money.

This hotel is different from any i have stayed at. You receive your room key via an app. I never saw anyone at the front desk, so not really a way to check in. The entrance to the hotel is located at the back off the main street it sits on, so be aware of that. Parking was free and there was plenty of it. There are several eating options located in walking distance so that was great and my daughter and i felt safe walking around the area. The only drawback to the hotel is the walls are very thin and we could hear conversations and other things (if you get my drift) of our neighbors.😬 Overall it was a good experience.

the room could have been dusted a bit more...we loved the view but wished that it was made clear our balcony wasnt private it was shared...also the common kitchenette area had left over food from new years in the fridge and no coffee maker or coffee cups..also it was so cold in dfw ..we got back to our room for dinner and didnt know the heat wasnt on so it took awhile for it to kick on could have used some more pillows but with no staff i didnt know how to get more. overall the stay was good views were amazing! its a decent location with stuff in walkin distance. neat experience.

Nice no-frills modern style property, near many conveniences. Friendly & helpful front desk attendant, mainly reachable by phone. Not at front desk full time. My room was on the 2nd floor facing 8th Ave. which was a bit noisy due to traffic and vocal homeless folk hanging out across the street in front of the Subway sandwich shop. One homeless person came out of the dark from between the buildings and approached me when I had checked out in the early morning at 5:30am while it was still dark, even though parking lot is well lit. I'm surprised this section of town has become a bit more intense due to the homeless from downtown migrating this way. Also, walls not soundproof...could hear the couple quite loudly in the room next to mine having sex from 2-4:30am, then staying up talking for the next hour after that.

It was loud. Not the kind of loud that comes with a rude or noisy neighbor, but the kind that comes from rooms not being insulated properly. I could hear people next door watching TV and talking, until after 2am. The check in instructions were not clear, but the app they use to unlock doors was cool. The room was clean and I loved not having carpet. No ice maker. I couldn’t find the ice machine and no human on site to ask. Fridge in room but no coffee maker. It’s on a great location, plenty of restaurants and bars. Great concept but not executed effectively.

Shelton was the best thing about the property. He was so friendly, helpful and responsive. Couldn't have asked for better service. I would have appreciated being better informed about how the property would work, such as access, on a Sunday when the bar was closed.

The room itself was gorgeous and had a great view. But everything outside the room felt a little rundown. There was a huge meeting/kitchen space for guests, but it didn’t even have a coffee maker. Just a jar of instant coffee next to a microwave. They use some kind of concierge-less check in with an app. It’s convenient, but that means the only staff member is the bartender. He was phenomenal but overworked. I guess just lower expectations and think of it as a hotel with Air BnB service (not much).

The property was simple and beautiful, the goki system was great and worked great, shops and food are all so convenient. very close to downtown and just a quick drive to lots of fort worth fun. The parking was pretty bad most of the time, and the walls are very very very thin. our neighbors seemed to spend alot of time in the hallways and when in the rooms the tv could be heard over our tv. Overall I'd stay again it was priced very well. Next time I'll do girls trip not romantic trip so the noise will not be such a problem.

The hotel was really cool! The room was big and perfect for us. One thing I wish I would’ve paid more attention to was that there isn’t anyone at the front desk. If you have questions you can call a number or ask the bartender if the bar is open. It was a little weird not having anyone there to answer questions or help when needed.

The room doors are steel in a steel frame and the frame on our door was damaged so the door barely shut. The amenities listed such as bathrobes and breakfast were not available. The hotel is noisy, you could hear everyone open or shut their room door, or talk in the hallway. This was an overall awful experience.

Canceled my reservation at 3:30 pm by way of a message. We were driving in unaware of the cancellation. Showed up and tried to retrieve our mobile key to find out there was nowhere to stay. Simple phone call could have made all the difference.

On the website it appears you are getting a nice hotel with nice rooms but it neither of those. The building is basically a concrete building floor to ceiling. The rooms are concrete floor to ceiling. There was a 2 inch slither of a window but other than that you are surrounded by concrete. The room was extremely hot. It was 79 degrees in the room with the thermostat set at 66 degrees. The thermostat does not work from what I observed as the air was not continuously blowing trying to cool it off in there. Like most people in Texas you cannot sleep in a 79-80 degree room. Walking to the room the hallways are completely dark. There is 1 lamp in the corner of the hallway. I would not have felt safe walking to my room in a dark hallway. The front desk was ok checking in but was no help about the air or lack of air in the room. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It felt uncomfortable with concrete floor to ceiling at 79 degrees. I would recommend to find a different hotel if you are looking. This was a bad experience from start to end which was not long. We left 30 minutes after arriving due to everything listed above.

This was a bad experience from start to end which was not long. We left 30 minutes after arriving due to everything listed above.

we booked for a king room but got the double room and then the room was very ugly empty and scary, doesn’t have microwave, fridge doesn’t work, tv doesn’t works, doesn’t have body wash and no staff to help around!! stinky room and a floor such a horrible experience !! never getting back here again and especially the property is poorly maintained ! no one to help you around
