My husband and I celebrated his 50th Birthday in Jamaica and stayed at the beautiful Geejam Hotel. Our cabin was Rocksteady which had the most gorgeous water view from the room. What a way to wake up each morning! Geejam was such a tranquil environment. Everyone was very kind and helpful, the facilities everywhere were very clean, and the grounds were well-kept. We spoke to Steve, the co-owner multiple times and also were invited on a studio tour which was amazing! Steve was so down to earth and welcoming throughout our stay. We explored Frenchman’s Cove, Winnifred Beach, downtown Port Antonio, and our favorite excursion was the River Raft with Captain Mark and lunch at Belinda’s. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Our drivers were experienced and made us feel safe the entire trip. We loved Jamaica and especially this non-resort area. Geejam is a special place and we were honored to share in the history of it. We look forward to returning in the future.

Excellent but far from perfect. Every day there was something not available and usually for several days. At dinner for example you would wait 30minutes for your food (that’s ok) but then the item is unavailable. You should know this within a few minutes of ordering or before. Not enough masks/snorkels. No champagne glasses. The new waterside bar/restaurant will be a good addition.

Geejam was fantastic the only disappointment was we only booked 2 nights!! Will definitely return for longer next time,on our must return soon list. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't of been more helpful and friendly. The room was just as pictures show ,we loved the artwork on the walls brought the jamaican vibe alive the view was breathtaking.OMG the food was delicious best oxtail and jerk chicken we have had. The swimming pool was great so warm and yet again the view WOW . Thank you Geejam( Steve and co)for a wonderful stay can't wait to return

Our stay at Geejam was amazing, hotel rooms were large and really cool decor, the environment and views were spectacular and the food was incredible. Geejam team couldn’t have been more helpful, always on hand and delivering great customer care. Studio tour was also a great experience

Absolutely worth every penny. Service is so amazing - they really know what they're doing. Room was very well laid out with a stunning view of the ocean. The whole resort is tucked away in the mountainside like it's always been there. Love the way the buildings have been built around the existing nature so it all feels natural. We cannot wait to return.

Rent rum, trevlig personal, bekvämligheterna var mycket trevliga och inredningen extremt fin och mysig. Däremot var jag inte nöjd med menyn i restaurangen. Jag förväntade mig mer för att vara ett såpass fint hotell, men tex till frukosten så var pannkakorna verkligen bara pannkakor med sirap. Inga bär, ingen grädde, ingen chokladsås med ett fint upplägg. Det var så platt och blev torrt av den anledningen också. Samma med jerk wrapen jag beställde till lunch, ungefär $20usd för en torr wrap med kyckling, tomat och sallad, utan sås. Det behövs mer liv i menyn, mer kärlek för rätterna som planeras att lagas. Annars gjorde köket och restaurangpersonalen ett bra jobb! Huvudansvarig för menyn och restaurangens upplägg borde däremot starta ett förbättringsprojekt kring just detta, eftersom det drog ner mitt betyg från 5 till 4. I övrigt hade jag mer än gärna återvänt till själva boendet.

We really had a blast at geejam! The view especially from the room was absolutely breathtaking, the staff was very friendly and courteous and made our stay an absolute delight. The rooms are very spacy, beautifully decorated and very spacious. The Jamaican breakfast was delicious and every morning it was slightly different and there was always something new to taste. The rooms where very clean and the overall room service was top notch. Thanks to Newton for the warm welcome and for making our stay a memorable one. We highly recommend geejam and can‘t wait to attend the new years party in december!

This was our first visit to Geejam but it won’t be the last. Upon arrival, after 8pm, we were greeted very kindly by Saleema (please forgive me if that’s not how it’s spelled) who checked us in quickly and guided us to our room. What a beautifully appointed room! Spacious. Clean. Comfortable. Stacked with snacks and drinks. Could not have asked for more or better. In the morning, I was able to enjoy the view from our balcony and what a beautiful view it was! Can’t say enough about the bed! Perhaps the most comfortable bed and pillows in any hotel!! If we didn’t have to attend events daily we could have very easily stayed in the bed the entire time. Every staff member we encountered was very pleasant, kind, willing to answer questions, and accommodate requests. The meals at Bushbar restaurant were delicious and the atmosphere enjoyable. Looking forward to our return (after the Portland roads have been fixed!)

I took a good friend to Port Antonio to see the place. The hotel was nice but thr stairs a disincentive for me and anyone else with weak legs. Cominicatoon needs improving. We asked for the wifi password and they said the sent it on whatsapp but we had no internet commention. Very laid back approach

From arrival to departure the staff were amazing. We were also lucky enough to meet Steve one of the owners of the resort and he was great, took time to welcome all the guests at dinner individually. The food and drinks were great. All the staff were very friendly and attentive without being too much. The accommodation and view's were amazing. It was my first visit to Geejam but it certainly will not be my last, I love it!!!

Every staff member we encountered was very pleasant, kind, willing to answer questions, and accommodate requests. The meals at Bushbar restaurant were delicious and the atmosphere enjoyable. Looking forward to our return (after the Portland roads have been fixed!)

I took a good friend to Port Antonio to see the place. The hotel was nice but thr stairs a disincentive for me and anyone else with weak legs. Cominicatoon needs improving. It’s a given that Geejam is a beautifully appointed hotel but the real gem is the staff. Spent the last few days at Geejam while they navigated no power and limited internet but they worked to ensure our comfort. Special acknowledgement to Nadine and Brian who went above and beyond!

From arrival to departure the staff were amazing. We were also lucky enough to meet Steve one of the owners of the resort and he was great, took time to welcome all the guests at dinner individually. The food and drinks were great. All the staff were very friendly and attentive without being too much. The accommodation and view's were amazing. It was my first visit to Geejam but it certainly will not be my last, I love it!!!

We really had a blast at geejam! The view especially from the room was absolutely breathtaking, the staff was very friendly and courteous and made our stay an absolute delight. Absolutely worth every penny. Service is so amazing - they really know what they're doing. Room was very well laid out with a stunning view of the ocean. The whole resort is tucked away in the mountainside like it's always been there. Love the way the buildings have been built around the existing nature so it all feels natural. We cannot wait to return.

This was our first visit to Geejam but it won’t be the last. Upon arrival, after 8pm, we were greeted very kindly by Saleema (please forgive me if that’s not how it’s spelled) who checked us in quickly and guided us to our room. What a beautifully appointed room! Spacious. Clean. Comfortable. Stacked with snacks and drinks. Could not have asked for more or better. In the morning, I was able to enjoy the view from our balcony and what a beautiful view it was! Can’t say enough about the bed! Perhaps the most comfortable bed and pillows in any hotel!! If we didn’t have to attend events daily we could have very easily stayed in the bed the entire time. My husband and I celebrated his 50th Birthday in Jamaica and stayed at the beautiful Geejam Hotel. Our cabin was Rocksteady which had the most gorgeous water view from the room. What a way to wake up each morning! Geejam was such a tranquil environment. Everyone was very kind and helpful, the facilities everywhere were very clean, and the grounds were well-kept. We spoke to Steve, the co-owner multiple times and also were invited on a studio tour which was amazing! Steve was so down to earth and welcoming throughout our stay. We explored Frenchman’s Cove, Winnifred Beach, downtown Port Antonio, and our favorite excursion was the River Raft with Captain Mark and lunch at Belinda’s. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Our drivers were experienced and made us feel safe the entire trip. We loved Jamaica and especially this non-resort area. Geejam is a special place and we were honored to share in the history of it. We look forward to returning in the future.

Excellent but far from perfect. Every day there was something not available and usually for several days. At dinner for example you would wait 30minutes for your food (that’s ok) but then the item is unavailable. You should know this within a few minutes of ordering or before. Not enough masks/snorkels. No champagne glasses. The new waterside bar/restaurant will be a good addition.

Geejam was fantastic the only disappointment was we only booked 2 nights!! Will definitely return for longer next time,on our must return soon list. From the moment we arrived the staff couldn't of been more helpful and friendly. The room was just as pictures show ,we loved the artwork on the walls brought the jamaican vibe alive the view was breathtaking.OMG the food was delicious best oxtail and jerk chicken we have had. The swimming pool was great so warm and yet again the view WOW . Thank you Geejam( Steve and co)for a wonderful stay can't wait to return

Rent rum, trevlig personal, bekvämligheterna var mycket trevliga och inredningen extremt fin och mysig. Däremot var jag inte nöjd med menyn i restaurangen. Jag förväntade mig mer för att vara ett såpass fint hotell, men tex till frukosten så var pannkakorna verkligen bara pannkakor med sirap. Inga bär, ingen grädde, ingen chokladsås med ett fint upplägg. Det var så platt och blev torrt av den anledningen också. Samma med jerk wrapen jag beställde till lunch, ungefär $20usd för en torr wrap med kyckling, tomat och sallad, utan sås. Det behövs mer liv i menyn, mer kärlek för rätterna som planeras att lagas. Annars gjorde köket och restaurangpersonalen ett bra jobb! Huvudansvarig för menyn och restaurangens upplägg borde däremot starta ett förbättringsprojekt kring just detta, eftersom det drog ner mitt betyg från 5 till 4. I övrigt hade jag mer än gärna återvänt till själva boendet.

Geejam was a breath of fresh air after cancelling & leaving another property in Portland early & concluding our vacation here. The staff was very kind & hospitable. We definitely enjoyed the free breakfast daily & the food was good. We had a good time at dinner as well & drinks were made well. My only gripe is the gap under the doors of the rooms, which allowed stink bugs to crawl in nightly. That has to be addressed a.s.a.p.! No one enjoys creepy crawly things in their rooms & potentially in their bed. My boyfriend's family also rented one of the villas for the week, Panorama, which was a lovely experience as a large group gathering together. Overall a good experience & if visiting Portland again, we would definitely stay at the Geejam again.

Food was unavailable when on menu, subs as well. Food quality was good but lacking flavor. Spa service not available when booked. Couldn’t see the studio and no follow up from staff about seeing or using it. Beautiful and quite definitely relaxing. Close to many thing to do.
Food was unavailable when on menu, subs as well. Food quality was good but lacking flavor. Spa service not available when booked. Couldn’t see the studio and no follow up from staff about seeing or using it. Beautiful and quite definitely relaxing. Close to many thing to do.
