Large modern room with comfortable bed and separate bathtub & shower. Quiet location. Staff do not speak English, which is typical even for Western branded hotels in China. My room smelled a bit like sulfur, strongest near the toilet, but common areas did not. Air conditioner did not work. When reported to front desk, the complaint was met with a shrug. A bit of a walk from the historic area, but a gated walkway serves as a shortcut.
