I know it’s London but compared to other hotels in this price category (I paid 250 pounds for cheapest room category) it is pretty disappointing. The management doesn’t train the staff well. At Checkin I had to point out that the room was prepaid so they don’t charge me a second time. Breakfast is average but the service staff doesn’t make you feel good and after 36 Pounds spent still hungry I went to another place to finish breakfast. No Fitness and actually nothing you would expect in a 5 star hotel. Not even a bottle of water in the room (they bring you a mini bottle in the evening). The rooms are not isolated well against noise and you can’t open the windows. Pretty bad experience and probably my last time in that hotel. My mom teached me to always say something positive. wifi is working :)

The hotel’s location is terrific, very near major attractions and close to many restaurants and pubs. A subway station is just around the corner, too. The service was excellent. Staff was friendly and attentive. And the bar downstairs is really a cool place for a drink. The rooms are small- as is the case with most London hotels. But my room was well designed and appointed. Plenty of feature comforts like heated floors in the bathroom. I’d stay there again, but upgrade to a larger room.

The Guardsman was an amazing hotel with top notch room amenities. The bathroom had heated floors and they had the most comfortable robes. We had a kettle to make tea which was a plus given that we were in London. The staff at the dining room and bar were super kind. I would definitely stay here for my next visit to London.

I can’t say enough good things about The Guardsman. From the moment we walked in the service was amazing. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The restaurant below provides afternoon tea and it was seriously one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. It was truly incredible and the desserts were delicious. If and when we visit London in the future, we will definitely be staying at The Guardsman again. Thank you to the staff for making it such a lovely, memorable experience.

We felt like we were in a private members club in this fantastic boutique hotel. The location is amazing, it says a 6 minute walk to Buckingham Palace but it’s closer than that and in walking distance to get to the tube. The staff were super helpful and friendly and we would recommend the afternoon tea. We will definitely stay here next time we are in London.

Not the 5 Star experience we were expecting, unfortunately. The staff seemed to lack experience, rooms were not super clean, some mold in the bathroom, sink didn't drain properly. Room was quite small for this price point in comparison with our past London hotel experiences. We were expecting more from a 5 star rated hotel. Probably should rate more like 4. However, it was a really Great location!!

Beautifully presented, clean and comfortable. I have stayed in quite a few hotels and never imagined staying again but I would definitely stay here again! Everything was very well presented and maintained. My daughter loved the aroma as you walked in through the main door (as did I!)

The hotel was incredibly clean and the rooms are what is advertised. The staff were welcoming, professional and helpful. The only minor issue we had was that two black cab drivers didn’t know where the hotel was and hadn’t heard of it.

The hotel is rated as a 5 star, charging 5 star prices. With that I expect 5 star accommodations. While the room was clean, bed comfortable, the bathroom kept having a musty mildew odor, as I then discovered the shower was not properly being maintained and there was mildew everywhere. Definitely NOT 5 stars. Reported smell to hotel housekeeping, smell was removed but the mildew remained. Upon checkout was provided a 1 night 50% discount which is definitely not compensation for the amount paid. 5 stars is deceptive.

Absolutely perfect! Quiet, classy, extremely clean and highly attentive hotel. The staff are kind and so accommodating. The cleanliness is beyond compare, and the location is superb! I was able to easily walk to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, etc. WHAT A WONDERFUL HOTEL! One of the best experiences of my life. Thank you, The Guardsman!!

Property is located in central London. Close to Victoria station - 15 min walk and close to lots of significant historical buildings and places. Arrived - staff were very welcoming. Had contacted hotel in advance and asked to be allocated a quiet room which they had done at back of building. Hotel / room / bed were nice. Lovely welcome note from team which was nice. Stayed for a work event so didn’t utilise bar or dining. Good shower. This overall is a good hotel. It’s safe and well located and great staff. I was however underwhelmed with it and the room based on cost and star ratings - carpet was stained and bathroom was small. But these are minor things. Bed / bathroom clean. Checkout was good. I think I would try somewhere else next time. But if you have to be in the Victoria area then it’s a good shout.

Great location for walking or the underground. The hotel is the cleanest and most up to date that I have encountered. Lightning controls are a little tricky to learn. That’s a minor issue. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Strange check-in; instead of signing the papers and getting a key, I was asked to sit in the lobby; after a couple of minutes, they came with the paperwork; then after a couple more minutes, they came with the room key and brought me up there. Having had a long journey I would have preferred the traditional system which would have got me into my room faster. The main problem was that the room was the size of a prison cell in Alcatraz. I needed to iron a shirt and there was barely room to open the ironing board and stand beside it. I had to move some of their stuff from both the bathroom and the 'desk' just to have room for my own things without everything constantly falling on the floor. I even had to move the wastebasket. Their 'desk' was a kind of a shelf, and the chair was not the right height for it. The window was frosted, perhaps because it was about 3 feet from the building next door; you had to crane your neck to see a bit of sky and know whether the sun was out. The room was oddly-shaped too; like a triangle. On the positive side, the shower was nice (although the door did not close properly leading to water all over the floor). If you're happy with a tiny room, you can get one for half the price in this area.

Conveniently located, the hotel is fresh and stilishly furnished. Rooms are unusually spacious compared to market standards. Amenity kit was excellent, so was the bathroom with baththub and ample shower. Friendly staff to top it all off

The hotel is new and in tip top shape. The room decor is trendy with lavish features like heated bathroom floors, robes, and in room tea and espresso stations. The rooms are not large but are thoughtfully designed with under bed drawers for clothing storage and armoires. There are techy features as well including tvs hidden in a mirror, digital entry panels, and digital lighting controls including usb ports. The room was quiet as well. Staff was excellent and ensured your comfort including a complimentary refreshment upon arrival and perfectly scheduled housekeeping services that didn't interfere with your stay. They even provided us with a fruit basket and complimentary water bottles that was very much appreciated. There is a lovely restaurant and bar for guest only use. My daughter and I felt cared for and greatly enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood was safe and had a good amount of restaurants including a convenient food hall next door serving pastries, coffees, breakfast, pizzas, and sushi throughout the day. There was a tube station 2 blocks away and tourist attractions within walking distance. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

They even provided us with a fruit basket and complimentary water bottles that was very much appreciated. There is a lovely restaurant and bar for guest only use. My daughter and I felt cared for and greatly enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood was safe and had a good amount of restaurants including a convenient food hall next door serving pastries, coffees, breakfast, pizzas, and sushi throughout the day. There was a tube station 2 blocks away and tourist attractions within walking distance. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautifully designed and quiet. They got us into the room at 8am after arriving on a red-eye flight from USA. The staff aaa great, especially housekeeping. The rooms and bathrooms are very small for a week-long stay, but I would definitely book again in the future.

Our stay was good, overall. We didn’t have any concern - bed and pillows were comfortable, room is small but I’m sure that’s the case for most hotels in that area, love the heated bathroom floor, staff were nice and we were greeted with coffee/tea when we arrived. So close to Buckingham, Big Ben and London Eye!

Staff were incredibly welcoming! Clean, quiet and fantastic room. Only downside was my room was a bit dark with not a lot of natural light but I would stay at the hotel again.

This was a fantastic hotel. Very convenient to get to (just a short walk to the St. James’s tube stop on the District or Circle lines. Very nice rooms and lovely amenities. Soaps and shower products were very nice. I had requested a birthday surprise for my wife and the hotel responded with a delicious piece of cake with a Happy Birthday wafer on it - excellent. My only quibble would be the check-in process which was quite slow, albeit very customized and personal. The concierge showed us to our room but we were treated very much like we had never stayed in a hotel before. That said, this is a highly recommended stay. We didn’t eat on the property but I have no doubt that the food would be excellent.

We stayed in this hotel after our cruise so that we can explore London for a few days. We had a fantastic experience and booking a stay again in October after such a wonderful experience with the staff, the property, the location and the staff, the staff and the staff. They ensured we were welcome and comfortable from the moment the door of our cab opened when we arrived to the moment we left. They assisted us with booking the hop-on hop-off bus, our cab to the airport and lunch and dinner recommendations. I think we found OUR hotel in London. We are booking it for October 2024 when we come back and will be booking it again in 2025.

We had such a pleasant stay at The Guardsman Hotel! The front desk lady was awesome. She helped carry our luggage up and even gave us a quick room tour. The maintenance guy was super quick and polite when helping us with the safety box. And the gentleman working in the restaurant was absolutely amazing. So friendly and kind, he really made our experience special. The location is unbeatable. You are just steps away from all the top tourist spots, restaurants, and shops. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to my friends when they visit London. Huge thanks to the whole team!

We stayed here at the end of our trip and wished we had gotten to stay here longer. Place was beautiful, staff super nice and breakfast was outstanding. We had a little hiccup with our TV and the guy helping us was very professional. He had to come back 3 times but fixed the problem and then the hotel made it right by comping our breakfast. Made us feel like they really were apologetic towards our mishap. Would definitely stay here again when back in town. Everything was great.

This hotel is exceptional. From arrival, we were welcomed warmly and offered welcome drinks. Our rooms were ready early so after drinks we were shown to our room. The room was fabulous. We booked the guardsman room and it didnt disappoint. Luxurious room and the bathroom was spectacular. Central london location, near to Buckingham palace, and a really nice bakery a few doors away. Nice leisurely check-out time 12.00. The Guardsman has become our new favourite place to stay when we visit London.

Fabulous hotel that is clean, quiet, and has excellent attentive service in a great central location! Easy walk to Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Parliament. Many good dining options within one block. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to London!

Property is located in central London. Close to Victoria station - 15 min walk and close to lots of significant historical buildings and places. Arrived - staff were very welcoming. Had contacted hotel in advance and asked to be allocated a quiet room which they had done at back of building. Hotel / room / bed were nice. Lovely welcome note from team which was nice. Stayed for a work event so didn’t utilise bar or dining. Good shower. This overall is a good hotel. It’s safe and well located and great staff. I was however underwhelmed with it and the room based on cost and star ratings - carpet was stained and bathroom was small. But these are minor things. Bed / bathroom clean. Checkout was good. I think I would try somewhere else next time. But if you have to be in the Victoria area then it’s a good shout.

This was a great find in Westminster. I had no trouble getting around London by Uber, foot or catching the tube from this location. I will agree with other travelers that the rooms were a bit small but I didn’t find it an inconvenience. The street is very busy as well and there were busses driving by all day. Thankfully at night it was very quiet. The one issue I found, was the lack of ease in finding the hotel entrance. There was no grand sign on the building. I may be wrong, but I think there was just the door with small signage. So if you don’t know what you’re looking for you will walk right past it. Upon arriving you need to buzz in and then you’re greeted by the amazing staff. You’re offered a drink during check in and the porter takes you to your room and gives you a tour. I found my sleeping arrangements to be very comfortable. There is a Nespresso machine in the room and they do give you one free bottle of still water and milk in the mini bar. I was thankful for the safe in the room. Unfortunately I did not explore the breakfast options in the morning and I don’t know why I didn’t try dinner. Checking out was easy and I was given the option to store my luggage while I made my last errands around London. I was under the impression that they had an airport shuttle service that was offered but I was informed they would help acquiring a car service, cab or Uber. I ordered my Uber myself. I really enjoyed my stay at The Guardsman and highly recommend it.

Very modern almost to excess. Video menu was not the same as the actual in restaurant menu (Monkfish was listed on digital but not offered in the restaurant. This was disappointing.) But overall the experience was restful.

Not the best communication with us on checking in. We then went for lunch and although there was only ourselves and one other table it took 30 mins to even get a drink. Food on arrival was good though just expensive. Tv didnt work well in room and high tec switches etc were quite frustrating maybe thats just us. Lovely bathroom and shower. We were also.compensated for the poor service in restaurant with a drink before we left which was nice recognition.

Our week long stay at The Guardsman was fabulous. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, with restaurant recommendations and assisting in booking a tour. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped. Our experience with their service of the afternoon Coronation tea was delightful and well worth it. Special shout out to Mohammed, Giuseppe, and Bart. And the bartender makes a delicious martini! m Thank you for making our vacation so memorable.

This is a lovely hotel! The staff was amazing, very helpful, attentive and swift. The hotel was clean, the room was a good size and the lounge and bar areas were spacious, clean and very agreeable.

The property looks like a five star hotel but unfortunately it is not. It is understaffed, staff are not always helpful…(some staff are excellent but clearly too far stretched) whilst others are poor.A leaking shower base meant my trousers got wet, instead of offering to sort them (as I would expect for a conde Nast hotel) I was told to dry them with a hairdryer. No turn down service, and we were offered a free drink to compensate, asked for baileys - but there was a huge problem with that and we were just given wine to take home instead. Somebody needs to go in and sort this team out to get them working together as a team and more staff should be recruited!
