A very cute lodge in a tranquil setting. Comfortable beds, great shower facilities and a great welcome pack was provided. We enjoyed watching the wide variety of birds including pheasants and red kites.

This was my first visit to York and the Ryedale cottages was the best place to stay while in the area. The house is lovely with comfortable beds, clean linens, and loads of games to play as a family. There are miles of walking trails and some cheeky sheep to see up the road. The view from the front of the house was beautiful and the hosts were so lovely. We arrived with a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator and a Victoria sponge on the table waiting for us. The kitchen is a bit narrow but fine for a single cook. The appliances and cutlery were all in great condition and we had all we needed for a lovely stay. This is a great getaway.
