Cambria Hotel Philadelphia Downtown - Center City

Clean atmosphere, friendly staff, pretty good gym.

Hotel and staff are nice.. the downside.. only one elevator working and it takes a long time with so many people to get on or off the elevator..was very inconvenient waited at least 20 min to 30 min for the elevator. One time we were waiting for guests to get off and then one lady went flying into the elevator an hit close door.. and there we a lot of of waiting.. very frustrating.

Liked the large room. Fitness center was excellent and that matters to me. Coffee maker in room did not work. Bed covers could have been more ample.

To start we check in and go to the room it’s dark hit the lights in the room little bit brighter go to the bathroom one light in the shower and a night light under the mirror. I said I think the mirror lights up all the way around hit the button again it turns off. I call down they tell me that’s the way it is that people complain about it all the time. I say ok thought to myself that’s weird I know mirrors like that light up. The next day the lady was cleaning the room next door and we walked by and saw the mirror was fully lit. Called back down about it and told them and nothing happened. We checked out the next day and left. No house keeping only in between people staying that is nasty no one wants to hold on to the trash and dirty towels the whole time you stay. Will not stay there again. Staff lies and doesn’t care spend your hard earned money elsewhere. Can’t get in the lobby in the evening because they have 30 people waiting to go to the rooftop bar then you can’t get an elevator down either hard to wait on 4 elevators because the others are full of bar guests leaving. The only thing they have going is the location is nice but you can throw a rock and hit 6 other hotels that will give you better service and light so you can get ready in the morning.

Quiet clean room. Nothing fancy, but well-lit and very functional and comfortable. Great to have a fridge and microwave in room, and many coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Very comfortable bed and nice window bench/couch area to sit and work by the window. The exercise room was spacious and had great equipment to use and was very clean. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful!

It was a short one night stay. First time staying here. It was nice hotel in a great location. All the staff were very friendly. The problem is the elevator situation. They have 3 elevators, 1 was out of order, 1 was used solely to go to the rooftop bar and 1 to go to the rooms, so you ended up having very long waits to get to your room. I am not sure why they have the 1 strictly used for the rooftop bar. Isn't it more important for you overnight guests to get to their rooms? It mostly just sits there all day because not a lot of use. Other than the elevator situation the hotel was great!

It was very convenient. All shops and food nearby. But the valet overnight daily parking price was way too expensive.

Our room had almost no water pressure in the shower. The front desk was informed and did NOTHING to fix it during our stay. The laundry facility was out of order (only one washer and one dryer for the entire hotel) throughout our stay. I would not recommend this property given the lower maintenance standards of the current management.

The bathroom was filthy. There was mold in the shower and the tiles were black. We went to the front desk that morning to inform them about the shower and all they did was put our name on a list. When we came back to the room that evening, nothing had been done to fix the situation. We had to call the front desk and they sent someone to clean the bathroom but it was still unacceptable. When we first checked in there was not even enough toilet paper in the bathroom. The bathroom looked like it has not been cleaned in months when we checked in. We stayed in room 813.

The hotel's location presents significant challenges with parking. Both street parking options are nonexistent and public garages charge upwards of $60, while the hotel's valet service is $70 and underperforms for that premium price. My stay began with concerning cleanliness issues. Upon check-in, I discovered roaches in my initial room. After being relocated, the second room had multiple cleanliness problems: - Dried food residue on the sofa - Hair throughout the bed sheets - Poorly maintained towels that appeared to have been simply refolded without washing The check-in process was equally problematic. Despite arriving at the scheduled time, I had to wait two hours after the official check-in time to access my room. More frustratingly, while I was waiting in the lobby after being placed on a notification list, I observed multiple guests checking in ahead of me. The staff failed to contact me when rooms became available as promised, appearing to prioritize convenience over the established waiting list. While the staff maintains a friendly demeanor, their professionalism falls short of expectations. The combination of cleanliness issues, service inconsistencies, and expensive parking options make it difficult to recommend this property. I will never be returning here.

Great location, staff was friendly, fair price. The room was in need of a good deep cleaning. The microwave and fridge looked like they had never been cleaned. The body wash was empty. Would probably stay somewhere else next time in Philly.

No fitted bed sheet on the bed and no fitted sheets in the hotel according to front desk mattress exposed and dirty. Walls had what I was just a coffee stains on it. The bathroom shower was also dirty.

The room was spotless and the staff was very kind and courteous.

It was horrible!! I was bitten by a bedbug, took photos, requested the manager on duty to come see herself and it was almost like she was annoyed! Enough for me to stop as many people as possible from booking a stay there!

Staff was friendly and quick for check in and out. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The rooms are very gloomy and dark. There aren't enough lights or lamps and the ones that work are mismatched with bulbs. Feels like you're in a hospital waiting room. The back of the room towards the window was very dark (even though the curtains were open). And there are ALWAYS people loitering in front of the front doors.

We had a fantastic stay! The location for the marathon weekend was perfect for running, spectating and celebrating. The hotel is contemporary, clean and has excellent service. The room was very spacious (we had a double queen), had very efficient and adjustable HVAC, tons of amenities including mini-fridge and microwave, nice-sized bathroom with the best shower I've ever had in a hotel (great pressure). We will definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable beds! Room temperature a little warm and would not go below 70. Parking cost insane for 1 day!!

Walkable to convention center, eating, and sites. Noisy, but understandable in a city. strange setup in the room (bed faces window and TV was on side wall), but overall clean and fine for our weekend stay.

This post is merely about the value you get for your money. We did not feel that the price we paid, over $450, matched the experience we got. A few minor touches would definitely improve this property, like fixing the revolving front door so you didn’t have to push your way in. Putting a staff member there at the entry to greet and help would also be nice. All employees that were there did not seem interested in providing any customer service. The room was large, but I will say it was awkward. A lot of empty space, not enough lights, and no nice amenities that you would expect from a hotel, charging this rate. Things like robes, slippers, toiletries. The ventilation system was loud, every time I turned on you were awake from your sleep. Noise from the street was also evident, we were on the fifth floor and heard each car and siren they went by. Our flight was canceled, so we chose to stay at the Cambria because of its location. That part did not disappoint, easy walking throughout all of the historic areas, and located just down the street from the City Hall. Front desk staff was very helpful, so thank you. Overall, I would not stay here again nor would recommend it.

A very pleasant surprise. Great location. One of the largest hotel rooms I have had. Lsrge bathroom and shower. Microwave and fridge. Comfortable bed.

The view was excellent and the room had the most comfortable bed.

Loved it all except I felt like the room didn’t have enough lighting! There was a desk with a mirror over it and no lights at all. Ceiling light and a lamp between the two chairs ( not very comfortable- too big). Definitely should add a lamp or something to the desk.

Excellent location, eclectic with very spacious rooms

Our room was broken into, bathroom destroyed along with our personal items we had in the bathroom. Someone left their dirty shirt in our room as well. We went to a concert, cane back around midnight and found our room this way. We immediately called the front desk and was told they couldn’t leave the desk. So I said we would be calling the police, she said fine. After a few minutes there was a knock on our door by two random people who claimed to br hotel staff although no identification and we were afraid to open the door. We ended up letting them in and they didn’t seem upset or phased. We didn’t feel safe in our room and it was a mess, besides we didn’t know what they touched. We asked for another room and they said ok for half price. We said forget it and decided to drive home to Baltimore which took almost two hours. Tried to get a refund from the hotel, spoke yo Sinquetta who told me she needed two days to investigate and she would call ne back. She never did. My friend and I were beyond disappointed. I don’t appreciate how the hotel handled this situation at all. And, I didn’t realize my new Baltimore Orioles pullover was stolen which cost over $50 until I got home. The intruder left his smelly shirt on our room, apparently took a shower and walked out with my Oriole shirt. They should have been able yo find him/her with cameras. I doubt many guests in Philly would be wearing an Oriole shirt. I have called my bank and requested a reversal.

Nice hotel… Centrally located… Front desk is not very helpful… Couldn’t find my reservations at check in … Couldn’t add my choices number at checkout…Didn’t answer the phone this morning to ask for late check out after numerous attempts…

I had an exceptional stay at Cambria Hotel and want to give a special shoutout to the incredible staff who made my visit truly memorable. From the moment I arrived, Steven greeted me with such warmth and professionalism, ensuring my check-in was smooth and hassle-free. Throughout my stay, Josh and Amari were always available to assist with any request, going above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. Their attention to detail and friendly demeanor really stood out. Lastly, I can’t forget Maury, who helped with some last-minute arrangements and provided fantastic local recommendations. The entire team made my experience at Cambria Hotel feel personal and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service and a friendly, dedicated staff. Staff are all very helpful and friendly, especially the front desk and the guys on the ground floor. Great location and very nice amenities.

At first, when I checked into my room, it was an un-cleaned, not ready room. They gave me a new room. The beds were very comfortable and the room felt spacious. Even though I asked for room service just to tidy up and supply more coffee pods, etc. it took a couple days until I was able to get service.The night manager was far from kind when I asked for service saying that it “isn’t life or death”. Apparently she also works as some type of “nurse” for her other job she said. I had to ask several times before getting housekeeping. They seemed a little short staffed possibly. Had to ask for new room key twice b/c it kept not working. It’s a good location and served my purposes fine. Probably wouldn’t stay there again though.

Friendly and helpful staff. Allowed us to check in early with kids which was amazing.

I arrived for a one night prepaid stay, to be told that they did not have my reservation. The person behind the desk checked his "other computer" as well, and made a phone call, but no record of my reservation. He then moved on to another guest without any closing words or recommendation. I found the email receipt from Hotels.com and showed him. At that point he stated that this "always happens" with "third party" and made another call about my receipt. I heard him say on the other call "what is the rate" and wrote a rate that was 75% of what I paid. Then I was assigned a room. This was an unpleasant experience, and one that is far outside of my experience to date with travel. The desk staff in the morning was very nice! Perhaps there is a cross training opportunity. It will be hard to recommend this hotel. The room was bright and cheery, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom . . . I did choose to wear shower shoes in the shower on this visit too.

I’ve stayed at this hotel multiple occasions when i come to Philly, but customer service was horrible this time around. Flight arrived early came in to see if rooms were available, and they weren’t which is ok but the front desk staff let me stand at the desk for over a minute while just sitting doing nothing. Never greeted me but looked up and said you checking out or something? Asked where any rooms available and she rudely stated no call back at 2.

The staff were amazing. The manager, front desk, valet staff and bar staff. I will definitely be returning to the Cambria!!!

A huge room with 2x queen beds, large shower space, tv, etc. 2 minute walk to City Hall & trains. Perfect central location. Friendly & helpful staff.

Large, modern rooms. Centrally located, so most sights are within a 30 min walk. Lots of restaurants around.

We would stay here again. We would never have breakfast here again - small portions, took forever to receive, expensive, just not all that good. Go elsewhere.

I really liked my room, and the location was so central. I was really disappointed that there was no room service available. Only appetizers and breakfast on the weekend. The bar was only open on the weekend. Such a missed revenue opportunity. I had no idea where to go for food, and their little market just had cold pre-packaged sandwiches or salad. The elevator/ key card situation was frustrating too. Before? After? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Other than that, I really liked the hotel.

I arrived very late at night for check-in and was greeted warmly and provided excellent service. The wonderful service extended through my stay with assistance for business meetings I had. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The rooftop bar was lovely as well. Cambria will be my go-to hotel when traveling to Philly from now on.

Clean room with a nice view. Staff at the restaurant were friendly and sitting out on the patio was really nice. We didnt go to the rooftop bar but I'm sure that would've been nice too. Only complaint is the bathroom: the door is a frosted glass sliding door, the shower is one of those "half glass walls, no curtains" set up, and the toilet ran almost nonstop throughout the night. Not a huge deal but kept us awake for most of the night.

What can I say? The entire staff was fabulous, especially the gentleman that checked us in and out. The morning breakfast staff was great, The bartender off the lobby was great. The housekeeper was great. I like that they have a safe for valuables. I like that they have a walk-in shower, with plenty of towels and a full iron and ironing board. They have a fabulous upstairs bar restaurant. This is so conveniently located downtown close to shopping and restaurants. I will definitely go back there.

Rooms are large with nice bathrooms. Bar is always a great spot for a drink or bite of food. There have been a few times I have checked in and the front desk associate was not very welcoming.

Had on website a pub with food on 2nd floor, no food. I guess it's time to update website
