24 hr front desk. Comfortable, clean and modern rooms. Onsite food and coffee. You can select from a range of pillows with the pillow service. The staff are actually super nice and we found the stay to be fantastic for our work trip.

Stayed in the Tiger Room and it was gorgeous! Quirky and luxurious. The king size bed was so comfortable. Easy to find and desk attendant was lovely! Only downside was there were no parking available at the motel when we checked in and so had to pay for overnight parking a block away, I’d expect free parking when paying for the premium room.

Easy checkin - quiet, comfortable rooms, well designed & with all the essentials - bar fridge, smart TV, easy to program air cond (and a window you can open for fresh air), great bathroom and shower, drawers and hanging space and room to store your bag. The team in the restaurant and bar are attentive and knowledgeable - and a great breakfast to start the day is on offer. Roof top bar with city views is an added bonus.

Great hotel, close to everything. Oniste parking is limited and is a bit of a pain to get into as your room key does not provide access to the garage. You need to be buzzed in by contacting reception when trying to enter. Gaining access from inside just needs the reception person to get you the lift.

Great hotel in an excellent location. Could walk to the tennis in 15 mins or so. Modern rooms with very comfy beds and pillows. Room service was fast and fresh. Restaurant was excellent quality.

Modern, clean and spacious room with a view of the city. Plenty of power outlets and chromecast on the tv. Functional bathroom with a well thought out shower arrangement (sadly rare these days). Friendly and helpful service too. Perfect for a few days stay in Richmond.

Beds were completely sagged we unzipped the beds and spun them hoping for a firmer mattress, was slightly better proving that the mattresses were rarely spun, beds seem to have been made every day but not the sheets changed basically poor house Keeping, Parking was a joke and the desk staff had no idea, telling us that the overnight parking was $15 which turned out to be $30 still cheap but their reply was it should be $15 per night, also the parking bay at the rear is a trap would not accept payment at the machine after 5pm or before 7:am so I was late by 1/2 an hr paying and had already received a $99 fine again the desk staff had no idea how it worked. That part of Richmond is terrible for food except for "14 Bridge rd" excellent Italian food and very friendly. We had a twin room setup which I believe was reasonably priced, the food at the hotel had a limited menu and was expensive, all in all we'll be staying further out of the city in future as it is not what it used to be

Check-in was easy, room was beautiful and very clean. Bed was comfortable and room was nice and quiet. Property is close to restaurants and shops and easy to get to. There is a car park just behind the property which is easy to access.

Central to everything and beds were really comfortable. Housekeeping had missed replacing a few things in my room before I checked in e.g. tea cups, tissues etc so I had to call and get them sent to my room.

A great find in the heart ❤️ of Richmond. Staff amazing, the Vibes were on point and the little random bits and pieces to find/explore. Bed was super comfy, shower.... I would give that a 10/10. The scent of their room spray could be smelt from down the street.... delightful 😊

8th floor balcony room had great views, was quiet (no traffic or plant machinery), comfortable in every way, had those 'extra' touches and exactly as advertised. Perfectly located to be able to come and go across the stay. Bar and restaurant were well patronised and inviting. Highly recommended for short or week-long stays.

Fantastic location and the hotel rooms are perfect. We had a 2 bedroom corner suite which was well appointed and spacious. Staff are friendly and very attentive. Will definitely be returning.

Overall I had a wonderful stay here. The hotel itself felt very relaxed and comfortable and the staff were all very warm and helpful in our interactions. The room was spacious with one of the best beds & especially great pillows I've ever experienced in a hotel. The bathroom shower was great but just my personal suggestion that perhaps a handle on the shower partition wall for safety would good as there's no separation and the whole floor could get wet and slippery. Small issue though, the provided floormats were helpful in this regard, very considerate! The neighborhood was very peaceful and convenient, with a big Coles down the street (5mins) with a variety of good grab & go / sit down dining options. The tram also stops directly outside , and you'll be able to see the hotel signage clearly which was super helpful for us as tourists! Definitely would recommend to couples/ small families for a fuss free and relaxing stay.

Thank god for this hotel. We had actually been trying to book a hotel up the road for convenience, however every time we tried to book the reservation cancelled. I rang to resolve, they refused to complete the booking over the phone, and pretty much told me I did not know what I was doing because of my age. So we went elsewhere. Your team was lovely, efficient and face us an upgrade. We are never staying up the road anymore. And we come down to Melbourne from Ballarat many times in the year.

The rooms are very cool and the staff are amazing. We sadly left some things in our room on checking out and they were quickly tracked down, packed up and sent to our home address, arriving a couple of days later Amazing service! Highly reccommend this boutique hotel with very personalised service.

The staff and accommodation was excellent. The location close to transport (tram stop right outside the door) walking distance to MCG was perfect for our stay. Lots of food options nearby as well.

Fantastic little hotel quality linens & fittings. Well designed quiet rooms. Wonderful roof top bar with well made cocktails. Foyer area very comfortable & breakfast was excellent. Walkable to rod laver or trams right out front

This is a lovely hotel. I stayed for 8 nights in January and booked because it was walkable to the tennis and good value. I was a little thrown by the graffiti in the neighbourhood when I first arrived but once I explored the area I realised that there are some lovely streets/properties and some great cafes on Bridge and Swan. The tram stop is right outside and is close to a nice wine shop, supermarket and laundry if you need provisions. Do book the balcony room as it affords a great view over the Olympic Park and to the city - well mine did on the 7th floor!

Great hotel in a very convenient location for us to visit nearby family in Richmond. Room was quiet, bed comfortable and everything clean, tastefully decorated and well-laid out. The trams to the city were just outside the front door and there were plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance, including the roof top bar (Threads) and the restaurant (Ms Parkers). Coles was a 5 minute walk away. Would stay here again.

We loved our stay at The Motley, chosen because it looked great and was close to the MCG. We thought the room, whilst small, was full of clever features enabling us to have a very easy stay. Loved the bathroom design. The staff were all fabulous and welcoming and helpful. Great dining area - we had dinner and breakfast there (also an excellent cafe a few doors for another excellent breakfast with amazing menu. Also liked using the UBX gym a few doors up as the hotel’s gym - was much more fun than going to a sterile hotel gym. Highly recommend, especially for the price.

Fantastic hotel in Richmond, 15 minutes from the CBD by tram and walkable to the MCG and Rod Laver arena. Dinner was great, breakfast was delicious. I thoroughly recommend The Motley Hotel.

Great location. Interior design is very interesting and unique. The pillows were, unfortunately overstuffed to the point of being so hard they were unuseable. There was a mini fridge but there were no drinks, nor snacks available at all for purchase. Both bars in the venue close at 10:00 pm and room service stops at 9:30. For a venue catering to large concert crowds the lack of food and drink is an unfortunate omission

A lot to like about the Motley. Easy checkin - quiet, comfortable rooms, well designed & with all the essentials - bar fridge, smart TV, easy to program air cond (and a window you can open for fresh air), great bathroom and shower, drawers and hanging space and room to store your bag. The team in the restaurant and bar are attentive and knowledgeable - and a great breakfast to start the day is on offer. Roof top bar with city views is an added bonus.

A little different by appearances, courteous and helpful staff. Exceptional dinning experiences for breakfast and dinner. Quiet comfortable, clean room and facilities.
