Great place to stay. One of the cleanest hotels I’ve had the pleasure of staying in. Rooms look like the images on the website. Very comfortable bed, aircon if needed. Restaurant/Bar - great choice of drinks and food. Food was great value and quality. Will definitely stay again

We stayed in a room in the annexe to the main pub building, I guess it might be a former stable block? Everything has been refurbished to a very high standard and the room was perfect. We travelled with a dog and staff were incredibly welcoming and there was a dog friendly area in the bar where we could eat breakfast.

Stunning rooms decorated to a high quality, comfortable and the biggest bonus of air con! Fantastic layout with everything you could need! Pub inside is clean and spacious, food is delicious. Outside space and beer garden well kept and large. We will definitely be staying again. It’s a perfect little trip away.

What a great stay! Rooms are well appointed, love the decor. Plenty of in room refreshments to choose from. Good internet, iron etc. Great nights sleep, lovely and quiet. Parking is easy, the bar area is cosy and chilled. Restaurant has good food, evening meal fantastic, lunch (a Guinness burger) was probably the best ive had. The staff really make this place shine, very attentive and helpful. Ill definitely stay again, although this was for business in the area, the stay was actually a treat.

We had such a lovely stay, we checked out this morning and the place was super clean, beds and pillows really comfortable and lots of coffee/teas in the room. We will definitely be staying again, super close to the town centre of Bury St Edmund’s, just a 15 min drive which was ideal for us! We paid for breakfast this morning which was really tasty and we didn’t have to trek far, just across from the room.

Lovely property--beautiful, traditional, clean throughout. Our room (Daphne) was perfect for our twelve-day stay. While we didn't take every meal there, we had many dinners and breakfasts and each was wonderful. Fresh, locally sourced (their own estate), and deliciously prepared. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

My partner and I and my elderly parents had a last minute stay at the Guinness Arms as we were attending a family party nearby. We could not fault the rooms, service and breakfast the following day. It was very clean and inviting and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return in the near future. Thank you!

We stayed in The Kenelm Room which was absolutely outstanding. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. The ceiling had a skylight where you could look up to see the stars and watch planes from the local RAF base fly over. There was a good selection of complimentary drinks incl fresh coffee, bottled water and fresh milk alongside nice biscuits and a selection of teas. The water from the shower had excellent pressure and there were a lovely selection of toiletries available if you needed them as well as shaving equipment and dentistry sets. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were perfect to ensure that a good nights sleep was had by all. We enjoyed an exquisitely cooked evening meal with a fabulous array of wines and an excellent selection of spirits also on offer. Breakfast was equally as good and everything was hot and well presented. Lucy the manager was warm and accommodating as was Amy and not forgetting Josh (waiter) who was exceptionally polite and courteous. The Guinness Arms went far beyond my expectations and I was more than impressed. Well done all of you 😀

Recently refurbished Pub with separate outhouses that have been converted into rooms. The rooms were in excellent condition. The fod in the pub both evening and breakfast were delicious. There is a nice outside play area for children which got heavy use.

Super friendly staff on arrival and when we had breakfast. We stayed in Garech Room. There was a room above us with some heavy footed occupants, but nothing some ear plugs didn't resolve. Nice powerful shower, really comfortable bed. Would stay again.

The room was comfortable, I had a good sleep, I arrived late, it was dark, I had trouble locating my room, no signage, and also trouble getting the key, there were no instructions by the lock.

Great pub food, some confusion from staff about booking through Expedia. Not much help at check in just thrown a key and expected to get on with it. Room and shower very good and peaceful area. Told breakfast was not included.

We stayed in The Kenelm Room which was absolutely outstanding. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. The ceiling had a skylight where you could look up to see the stars and watch planes from the local RAF base fly over. There was a good selection of complimentary drinks incl fresh coffee, bottled water and fresh milk alongside nice biscuits and a selection of teas. The water from the shower had excellent pressure and there were a lovely selection of toiletries available if you needed them as well as shaving equipment and dentistry sets. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were perfect to ensure that a good nights sleep was had by all. We enjoyed an exquisitely cooked evening meal with a fabulous array of wines and an excellent selection of spirits also on offer. Breakfast was equally as good and everything was hot and well presented. Lucy the manager was warm and accommodating as was Amy and not forgetting Josh (waiter) who was exceptionally polite and courteous. The Guinness Arms went far beyond my expectations and I was more than impressed. Well done all of you 😀

Lovely comfortable room and unique in appearance. We found the room to be very quiet at night time during our weekend stay. The food in the restaurant was very good and seemed popular with the locals as well. Make sure you book a table for dinner if you are staying. Great staff, great service!

We had such a lovely stay, we checked out this morning and the place was super clean, beds and pillows really comfortable and lots of coffee/teas in the room. We will definitely be staying again, super close to the town centre of Bury St Edmund’s, just a 15 min drive which was ideal for us! We paid for breakfast this morning which was really tasty and we didn’t have to trek far, just across from the room.

Such a beautiful place to stay especially during the Christmas period, the room we had was stunning, very cozy and the bed was comfortable. There was a good selection of teas and coffee. Pub/restaurant was really lovely the meal we had was delicious. Bury St Edmonds was only 20 minutes away, definitely a lovely place to visit.

Lovely property--beautiful, traditional, clean throughout. Our room (Daphne) was perfect for our twelve-day stay. While we didn't take every meal there, we had many dinners and breakfasts and each was wonderful. Fresh, locally sourced (their own estate), and deliciously prepared. Would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

What a great stay! Rooms are well appointed, love the decor. Plenty of in room refreshments to choose from. Good internet, iron etc. Great nights sleep, lovely and quiet. Parking is easy, the bar area is cosy and chilled. Restaurant has good food, evening meal fantastic, lunch (a Guinness burger) was probably the best ive had. The staff really make this place shine, very attentive and helpful. Ill definitely stay again, although this was for business in the area, the stay was actually a treat.

The room was fantastic, the evening meal was lovely but the breakfast was disappointing. The sausage had no colour, the sautéed potatoes were really just boiled and sliced (not crispy at all) and the scrambled egg was sliceable!

Beautiful room, our mattress was comfy although there was roll together. Staff very friendly, we had dinner, unfortunately staff were not very attentive we had to get a member of staffs attention on a number of occasions to ask for extra drinks etc. we ordered some liquor coffees for after dinner only to find out there was no cream left, disappointing.
