I stayed here for one night while away on business and it was perfect. Room has everything I could have wished for, it was clean and nicely decorated. The pub is lovely and food delicious! Easy parking, friendly staff and nice locals!

The room was very cosy and clean. The bed was comfy and we both slept really well (in part because it was so quiet too). Massive TV with all streaming services available, tea and coffee making facilities and a powerful electric shower. The room could do with a little bit of touching up and maintenance but this was greatly outweighed by everything mentioned above. We had a few drinks in the pub both nights we were there and the staff were friendly and helpful. Spacious car park available too. Overall, really nice stay and would stay again!

Thorverton Arms is a very nice pub in a quiet and attractive village. Although it feels as if it is in the middle of the countryside it is convenient for Exeter. There are opportunities for country walks with the millennium green nearby. The pub is clean and the food is good.

Made to feel very welcome. Renovations being carried out to front of building, which meant bedroom window could not be opened. Comfortable room and bathroom for both myself and friend, plus our giant dog, who was also made to feel very welcome. Enjoyed the restaurant meal, with large portions. And the village was beautiful, with a dog friendly field just around the corner from the pub. Very enjoyable overnight stay, and would happily stay thete again. It will be even better when the front renovation is finished.

This hotel was phenomenal.The check in person so was good.Gave lots of advice.Breakfast and dinner are available.The room was so cozy and gave amenties like water,sweets and biscuit.The room was very clean.The room had laminated pamphlets sheets of information about breakfast,bus times,Thoverton and Exeter town information etc.There is a pub below the rooms which is quite busy in the evenings to nights.This place is well taken care of and they take care of their guests.It is an exceptional place to stay.I stayed 1 night.Imagine if I had stayed longer.I would return.

Lovely pub with beautiful dog / children’s walk on doorstep. Breakfast was amazing !! We unfortunately missed Sunday lunch but they made a Yorkshire wraps which were packed with meat and yummy !! Garden is nice area to chill. Very did friendly.

The property is situated in beautiful Devon village easy to navigate to. Free parking. Beautiful garden to sit out, excellent hosts. The room fresh and clean excellent facilities tea, coffee and hot choc plus biscuits. All the bathroom wash needed provided a joy to stay at. Breakfast and other meals available and owners a joy to meet. Excellent hosts will definitely being going back.

Bathroom could use a little TLC but fit for purpose. Amazing breakfast that more than made up for any minor cosmetic items. The land-people, actually all of the staff were so welcoming. Definitely worth a visit or night over.

Very warm welcome from our hostess. Shown to our room which was good value for money as the breakfast was excellent. Room slightly small but very clean. The bathroom although clean was very tired. Light over sink broken. Had a nice meal in the evening and the bar/restaurant team very helpful and friendly and efficient service.

This is a very lovely historic building and as such is quaint and quirky (creaky floors and sticky windows) but that is all character. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the service very friendly and excellent. Breakfast choices a bit limited but very nicely done. A beautiful village to have a wander around. Would use it again as a convenient stopover.

Amazing location, very quiet and just what I needed after a hard days work. The staff are fantastic, the foods even better. Lots of local drinks available, I was very pleased I chose this location. The room I had was small, but my colleagues was much bigger but that’s the luck of the draw! Overall, I’d highly recommend this location!

Lovely warm welcome, superb nights sleep….although was a little worse for wear after my old buddies wake. Woke up to a superb hot shower, enormous fluffy towel, and then the most amazing and sumptuous breakfast I have EVER had….and I’ve had some breakfast! The absolute best. Thank you so much for making the end of a tough day really rather lovely. Owners and staff treated me like a regular immediately. In the words of Arnold….ill be back!! X

Cosy twin bedroom with an en suite (with a lovely power shower) on top of a quiet pub with great food. I am gluten free and the kitchen were very knowledgeable and keen to accommodate my needs. The gluten free fish and chips were to die for. And the cooked breakfast was very generous.

Sat nav took a round the lanes approach which slow and frustrating. Room ok. Bed very comfortable. Shower and toilet noise a challenge. Thought it would just power up but continuous and must have been troubling for other guests early in morning.

We had a lovely stay at the Thorverton Arms, the hosts were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was great and they did amazing pub food in the evenings too. The homemade scampi was the best we’ve ever had anywhere!

The staff were so lovely and helpful, even finding me something after they had finished their shift. A really lovely village pub. My only comment was not a problem more that it might be useful at this time - some work is being done on the property so it’s currently covered in scaffolding around the front. It worried me at first as it didn’t match the picture online but clear signs helped and the work had no impact on my stay. Room was a little muggy but I purchased a usb fan from the Tesco in Exeter and that was perfect. I sadly didn’t have time to eat there but I imagine the food would be great - it was certainly busy! I only mentioned the noise - I like the window open, patrons chatting outside was nice and they were not late. There was a noise that repeated throughout the evening - possibly a dishwasher? The staff were so lovely and helpful, even finding me something after they had finished their shift. A really lovely village pub. My only comment was not a problem more that it might be useful at this time - some work is being done on the property so it’s currently covered in scaffolding around the front. It worried me at first as it didn’t match the picture online but clear signs helped and the work had no impact on my stay. Room was a little muggy but I purchased a usb fan from the Tesco in Exeter and that was perfect. I sadly didn’t have time to eat there but I imagine the food would be great - it was certainly busy! Amazing location, very quiet and just what I needed after a hard days work. The staff are fantastic, the foods even better. Lots of local drinks available, I was very pleased I chose this location. The room I had was small, but my colleagues was much bigger but that’s the luck of the draw! Overall, I’d highly recommend this location!

Thorverton Arms is a very nice pub in a quiet and attractive village. Although it feels as if it is in the middle of the countryside it is convenient for Exeter. There are opportunities for country walks with the millennium green nearby. The pub is clean and the food is good.

Lovely pub with beautiful dog / children’s walk on doorstep. Breakfast was amazing !! We unfortunately missed Sunday lunch but they made a Yorkshire wraps which were packed with meat and yummy !! Garden is nice area to chill. Very did friendly.

The property is situated in beautiful Devon village easy to navigate to. Free parking. Beautiful garden to sit out, excellent hosts. The room fresh and clean excellent facilities tea, coffee and hot choc plus biscuits. All the bathroom wash needed provided a joy to stay at. Breakfast and other meals available and owners a joy to meet. Excellent hosts will definitely being going back.

This is a very lovely historic building and as such is quaint and quirky (creaky floors and sticky windows) but that is all character. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the service very friendly and excellent. Breakfast choices a bit limited but very nicely done. A beautiful village to have a wander around. Would use it again as a convenient stopover.

We had a lovely stay at the Thorverton Arms, the hosts were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was great and they did amazing pub food in the evenings too. The homemade scampi was the best we’ve ever had anywhere!

Bathroom could use a little TLC but fit for purpose. Amazing breakfast that more than made up for any minor cosmetic items. The land-people, actually all of the staff were so welcoming. Definitely worth a visit or night over.

This hotel was phenomenal.The check in person so was good.Gave lots of advice.Breakfast and dinner are available.The room was so cozy and gave amenties like water,sweets and biscuit.The room was very clean.The room had laminated pamphlets sheets of information about breakfast,bus times,Thoverton and Exeter town information etc.There is a pub below the rooms which is quite busy in the evenings to nights.This place is well taken care of and they take care of their guests.It is an exceptional place to stay.I stayed 1 night.Imagine if I had stayed longer.I would return.
