This property was in the perfect location. A 5-minute walk to Windsor Castle and10-minutes to the station. There are tons of restaurants and pubs within walking distance. The property itself was clean and well-maintained. It is a self-serve property --- you use a code to get into the building and keys are located in a lockbox. We had zero issues with this process. It was very easy. Our room was very spacious and clean. We overlooked the street and the room was very quiet at night. The only complaint would be the water pressure in the shower but it was not a dealbreaker.

Great little hidden gem. Steps away from Windsor Castle great staff. The only downside is they don’t have an elevator so if you’re older and have heavy bags can be a little difficult but if you can handle the baggage, the place is wonderful.

Great place. Almost next to caste. Easy to walk to too many restaurants to count, plus a ton of other places. The only potential drawback is if you are on top floor with heavy luggage. There is no lift. But they can store it for you at a lower level. GREAT PLACE OVERALL!

Very good location, annoying to buzz at the door outside to check in. Room spacious with comfortable beds, couch old and sagging though. No elevator although housekeeper assisted with bags.

Great location in centre of Windsor albeit that parking was a few minutes walk away. Room was very large and well appointed, great to have air conditioning in the hot weather. Checking in worked very well once we had entered using the key code. Very clean and good quality linen, would certainly stay again.

Excellent location for anyone wanting to explore central Windsor & across the Thames for Eton. However, its location also has a downside - no easy access car parking. As a superior room, it was a good size & had some nice touches, such as some fresh flowers & access to a fridge, although nothing in it. The self-service system worked well, but not sure how it might have been, had there been a problem that needed sorting out outside of the specified hours. Would definitely be happy to stay here again.

It was right in the heart of town, a stones throw from the castle. The only downside is that you will have to navigate lots of stairs (beware if you have large suitcases).

The location simply cannot be beat, just a block and a half from the train station, and two blocks from the castle. The establishment is run more like a B&B, but it is the size of a true hotel. Check-in was done by the housekeeping staff, as there is no front desk and the person greeting us helped us with out heavy luggage as there is no lift. Other than that, you would never know that you are not in a typical hotel. We booked two large rooms that were both very large with modern bathrooms and air conditioning that worked very well. An excellent option for the price.

What a find! Tucked away off a pedestrianised high street, Goswell House is in the center of Old Windsor. Minutes from the castle, shopping and restaurants. It was immaculately clean and very comfortable. A perfect place to stay with easy reach to Heathrow to catch a flight.

This property was spacious, tastefully decorated, and clean. We loved our stay. It is conveniently located near shopping, restaurants, Windsor Castle, and the train station. We were able to leave our bags in a locked closet until our room was ready. I felt very safe here. The girl on call when you check in was absolutely delightful. So sweet and friendly. One of my favorite people I met during my travels in the UK. I wish I'd gotten her name. She is a true gem. I will definitely stay here again.

Windsor was wonderful to visit. Goswell House was really great as the bedrooms had everything we needed and was clean with plenty of room. Literally a 5 minute walk to the Windsor Castle. We will stay again next visit.

Hi had a nice weekend in Windsor. Hotel was clean but no internet. Asked twice to remedy which did not happen if you advertise with wifi you should make sure it works as I needed for work. . Shower power was weak. Nice comfy bed.

Room was lovely, location to Windsor Castle perfect, only down side was facing the High Street and very noisy especially between 11pm to 5am, bars, clubs restaurant patrons noisy, loud, yelling and windows not double paned so sleep pattern was not good. It was ok on Thursday but not Good Friday.

Our room was very spacious and overlooking the street in Windsor right in the heart of the town - which was well worth the paying extra for this 3rd floor street facing room. Close to many restaurants and stores. Bed was comfortable. Nice table with comfortable chairs in the room to sit and enjoy the view with a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. Bathroom had a towel warmer which was a nice touch. Modern AC unit. Quite and very near Windsor Castle. The gentleman maintaining the rooms was very accommodating and friendly. Guests had the opportunity to drop bags before check in. Highly recommended.

Overall good hotel being very close to Windsor Castle and surrounded by shops, coffee places and restaurants . The room was large and comfortable except that the air conditioning did not work well and indded was set to stop after 3 hours so we woke up hot during the night.

The room was lovely. Fantastic location. Staff didn’t arrive for checkin - waited inside the building as a PIN code for entry had been provided via email. After waiting 25 minutes (some other folks were also waiting) the housekeeping staff member provided the room keys.

The staff at Goswell House are amazing! I forgot an item and they mailed it to me in Italy. I can't recommend this property highly enough. Windsor is a gem and they are in the heart of it.

We were greeted by a man who made us feel like he was not happy we were there. He never smiled, spoke the directions too fast as if we had been there before. He then said we had a choice of a first room floor or third (no lift). The first room floor is apparently near a Pub with live music until 3am so, we opted for the third floor. This was also a mistake, because of the amount of luggage we had. He assured us if we did not note the front door code we would not be able to re-enter after 530pm as it is unattended. After going to bed around 9pm, about 130am, the other guests on our floor returned, very loud, slamming doors, banging on doors, up and down the hall. Finally about 330am my husband opened our door to find a young man with beer in hand, talking loud and entering the rooms across from ours. He asked him to keep it down. The door slamming never stopped. We were flying a back to the states the next day and did not get any sleep on that flight either. I will never stay here or any unattended hotel again. There is no one to make sure the guests are being courteous.

Perfect location and the staff was amazing! My colleague and I came to Goswell House before traveling to Central London for business. We were steps away from Windsor Castle and wonderful restaurants/shopping! I also cannot say enough good things about the accommodations or the staff! We had large suitcases (due our business trip) that we were assisted with; and our rooms were just perfect! Thank you, Goswell House!!

Excellent location for anyone wanting to explore central Windsor & across the Thames for Eton. However, its location also has a downside - no easy access car parking. As a superior room, it was a good size & had some nice touches, such as some fresh flowers & access to a fridge, although nothing in it. The self-service system worked well, but not sure how it might have been, had there been a problem that needed sorting out outside of the specified hours. Would definitely be happy to stay here again.

We loved how convenient the location was to all amenities! The only thing to mention, is that the bed was too soft for us and there as no elevator to bring your luggage up. We were on the top floor.. There was also a nice continental breakfast 👍

It’s in the perfect location right next to shopping and Windsor Castle. Restaurants right nearby. It’s in an older building and doesn’t have a lobby per se, but staff is very friendly and helpful in terms of checking in to the rooms. Breakfast room was closed during our stay but was easy to find food before hopping the train back to London. We were moved to a room on an upper floor so that we would not be inconvenienced by noise from the street and nightclub down below on a Friday night, which we appreciate it Trish

The location of Goswell house was fantastic, being a short walk from Windsor Castle and just off the High Street. However, the bed was very uncomfortable, and we would have had to pay for a continental breakfast (this wasn't available due to Christmas) even though we paid £180 per night for the room! Check in was fine and our host brought us extra towels as the room wouldn't be serviced (again due to Christmas) during our stay. Unfortunately, we did not feel like we got any sort of value for money during this stay 😕

A strange Marie Celeste of a place. No reception, key code to enter. Front door down a side street no vehicular access. Brilliant location 5 mins from station 5 mins from all restaurants and the castle. Rooms comfortable and reasonable size. Breakfast a do it yourself continental affair, but great selection. Very quiet

The location was excellent, especially if you are arriving by train. Quiet location (mid-week stay) but very central. Spotlessly clean. It would have been 5* if the air con in my room had not been so noisy/squeaky that I had to switch it off at night and there had been a safe in the room as advertised.

Stayed here a few times now and always enjoyed myself. Hotel is right in the middle of where you want to be. Easy access to the main road with the plenty of dining options. Room was always clean and well kept and generally quiet.

Great location, minutes from the castle. Well appointed room and comfortable bed. We were very grateful that the room had air conditioning being there during the hottest June days ever! Bathroom was ok but could do with an upgrade - the sink tap was a bit dodgy at times and the over-mirror light did not work. Other than that we were very satisfied.
