The Juliet Hotel

Their was no maintenance on site. Toilet kept running and overflowing. No hot water for shower. The hot tub didn't work. The pool was dingy and lights outside by pool needed to be replaced. Beds were very comfortable and the young girl working the desk was very nice.

Ok for one night no staff after 1900. Pool not in use / not clean

Very nice boutique hotel in a good location. The pool was not available (March is cool though) and the in-room coffee maker did not work. There is nothing at the hotel for refreshments.

The location is wonderful but everything else is lacking! The sauna wasn't working, the hot tub didn't heat, the smoking area was locked. The only time we saw a receptionist was at check in. We were unable to contact anyone as the voice mailbox is full. The sheets had makeup stains, towels had holes, our shower head wasn't connected completely and sprayed water all over the bathroom.The soap that they provide is definitely not like what is described, it was a bar. I was able to fix it but I shouldn't have at to. There was no breakfast.The elevator was also missing a tile and several were loose.Overall the room was lacking based on the photos below.Our room door didn't shut unless you actually like leaned into it to shut it all the way. Our checkout was at 11:00 but at 9:00 room service tried to come service the room while we were still there. To be fair on that part though we didn't have the Sign out, but they didn't actually knock loud enough for us to realize it was someone at our door so they opened it 😅.

Great location, especially if you’re attending a concert (and have VIP tickets) at the Rock n Bowl as it’s across the street. Next door to Carpe Diem coffee shop & wine bar. And across the street is Pops Poboys, and Spoonbills Restaurant. The property is dated however is undergoing renovation in some areas. The elevator was out of order and rooms are on the 2nd floor. This was not noted upon booking so if you’re unable to walk up/down stairs, call before booking to see if the elevator is working. Our room was large, facing the Rock N Bowl and was directly above Carpe Diem. Room included coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator. I didn’t find a hairdryer so you may want to bring your own. The toilet needed plunging as it was very slow to flush. The attendant was quick to bring a plunger and offered to plunge the toilet however my husband did it. There is a nice, quaint sitting area with plenty of room facing a fireplace on the 2nd floor. The ice machine is also located down from the sitting area. Parking is behind the hotel. The breakfast was yummy and delivered to the room at your requested time. Homemade croissants made fresh daily. We were greeted each time we entered the hotel and the staff were polite and hospitable. Would stay here again!!!

This hotel has a lot of potential. In a wonderful, charming, small downtown area. Some upgrades to the main carpets-maybe invest in wood or tile, would improve smell and visible damage. The pool is in need of help. It’s accessible to the public, not actually locked up (this has to be addressed). It’s an in inviting setting but a mural on the back wall, some lighting. Music etc could make it charming. Staff were incredibly nice! The bones are beautiful!! Would really love to see this place succeed!

Loved the location. Stayed 2 nights. Found out first morning that the hotel has no staff from 7pm until 10 am. Tried to report a problem with the toilet and only found a phone number at the front desk to report maintenance emergencies. Fixed the toilet myself. Called the number, which rang at the front desk! Left the hotel for breakfast and key cards would not work when we returned. Desk clerk gave us new cards when she arrived at 10am. Room was clean except for bath. Pool was unuseable/unclean. Ice machine broken with note to get ice at front desk but no one working front desk. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Incidental charge not refunded.

Overall, the hotel was very nice. Inside it was like stepping back 100 years, which was neat. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. Had some nice places to sit, and the bathroom was large. My only complaint if you want to call it that, is that the tub and toilet had stains in them that I don't believe could come out. So it just made you feel it it was less than clean. After staying in new orleans, it was really nice to have a hotel where the parking was just a natural part of a stay at hotel, no charge. Their parking lot was right on the property as well. Great proximity to the Cajundome. There is a tiny unmaintained pool in the courtyard that truly should come out. They could make use of the space for seating for guests or something, but that's about it.

Although conveniently located, the hotel itself was not what I was expecting. I booked the master suite here since my usual Lafayette hotel was full, and it was a huge mistake. The carpets were horribly stained and the sheets looked as if they had been there for weeks. A strong mildew odor gave me such a migraine I packed my stuff and checked out a little after 12:00a.m. When checking out all the woman at the desk could say was “well you ain’t gettin no money back.” Which I replied “that’s fine.” I would NOT recommend staying here.

Hotel Juliet in downtown Lafayette promised a picture of comfort and hospitality but delivered an entirely different reality. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, it was as though cleanliness had taken an indefinite leave of absence. The decor, which might have once held a certain vintage charm, now felt like a museum of neglect, with each piece of furniture telling a tale of a bygone era when standards were not just optional but altogether absent. The room itself was an anthology of horrors. The pervasive smell of vomit emanating from the air conditioner was a jarring welcome, a sharp contrast to the usual sterile, sometimes overly fragrant greeting one expects. The carpet squelched with a questionable dampness beneath my feet, suggesting a swamp-like ecosystem thriving beneath its threads. As for the furniture, to say it would be rejected by Goodwill would be an insult to second-hand shops everywhere. Each piece seemed to compete for the title of the most stained, worn, and forgotten. The mere thought of resting upon any of them required a suspension of disbelief and a strong stomach. To call Hotel Juliet a 'dump' feels almost generous. It is a place where expectations go to wither, where the mere concept of comfort is as foreign as the idea of a clean surface. Wonderful lady working the front desk, helpful, friendly and funny. Room was spotless and spacious, tub was amazing.

The building was run down and dirty. The window for the room was broken. The linens had holes or were dirty. There was no night auditor, so I felt very unsafe and was scared to leave my room. The listing said there would be breakfast but there was not. Only a single water bottle for coffee and nothing else. One of the worst hotels stays I've ever experienced.

The hotel was VERY dirty and run down. The carpets are all in need of repair, the walls need painting and there were visible fluid stains in the room where we stayed. I'm sure that it used to be nice. I liked the location but, I will definitely not return. The elevator had a sticky film and it reeked of alcohol and vomit. I didn't feel comfortable walking anywhere in the room without shoes.

My room was dirty. I mean no bedding on the mattress, garbage bags on the floor. Not swept. Just not cleaned at all. No phone to call downstairs to even let them know.

The hotel reeked. The smell was incredibly overwhelming, we had headaches from it. There are wall deodorizers in the hallway that just really douse the place in air freshener smell. It was the most potent thing, I can't express how truly encompassing the smell was. The front desk person was friendly and knowledgable.

The Juliet is an older boutique hotel so she has some cosmetic flaws but I love her location and her old bones. The room was large and the bed was comfy. I loved the views from our room, the presidential suite, sits right where Jefferson and Lee meet and make the turn. The garden tub was nice to have and the humidifier in room was nice. Remember that the room has some wear and tear but for convenience and location, I think it was worth it.

It's nice in that it's the only hotel in downtown Lafayette so it's convenient. Rooms can use some updating such as light fixtures, and adding some USB chargers, but they are clean and comfortable.

The rooms are a nice size, plenty of room for a couch or 2 comfortable chairs. However there was just a table and 2 straight chairs. These were appreciated however because breakfast was brought to your room. There was a nice lounge outside the 2nd floor room where you could relax.

King size bed, comfortable mattress, large tub/ shower, smart TV, walking distance to all of the great restaurants on Jefferson.

The property is conveniently located in downtown Lafayette. It’s a quaint, small boutique hotel. The staff was friendly and the hotel was quiet. I didn’t find that there were any amenities – no restaurant no bar but all of that was within walking distance. The lighting in the room was very poor. The room size was very large and very clean. The only other thing I didn’t like was the TV. You could not access any live stations.

Quaint and shabby chic but, needs some updating. Loved big tub. Tv service via Hulu never worked due to password issues. Road side rooms are noisy due to late night bar traffic.

We saw this hotel across the street from where we were dining on a previous road-trip and thought it looked so cute that we wanted to stay there on this road-trip. It’s in a great location in the old downtown Lafayette area and the timing of our stay was perfect since they have a second Saturday art walk every month. Most travelers probably don’t have as much luggage as us so it’s probably easier for them to navigate getting in and out of this place. There’s a small parking area behind it and is difficult to navigate the one luggage cart around all the turns to get into hotel. The lock on out door (room 202) would not engage into deadbolt, the remote for tv was missing (I let staff know so I wouldn’t get charged and was told that some were missing), there was a humidifier in the room that I emptied 2x. I would still stay there again. The room was nice and comfortable and the location is perfect.

The rooms are dated and the beds are not very comfortable but the location is great. It seemed to be the only option outside of AirBnBs in the downtown area so we booked it. First, our room wasn't ready at check-in. The bedding wasn't done being washed so we had to wait for that. Second, the amount I signed for was quite a bit more than what hotels.com quoted us. I understand there are fees to be collected at the location but it was an extra almost $50. I probably would have chosen something a bit further out, had I known that. It was not worth $220.

Clean, spacious rooms, comfortable bed, close to everything.

We arrived before 7pm (which is when the front desk "closes"), My husband and I stayed last night and were pretty disappointed with our experience. We checked in some time before 7pm and didn't receive any information (what the extra $50 charge was for, which we only noticed on the printed receipt after we got into our room), how to get ice (I discovered the ice machine wasn't working after 7pm), or anything else that might've been helpful (for example, how to get extra water since there was only 1 bottle in the room). We turned the A/C all the way down and the fan on high, yet the room didn't cool down until 3am. We couldn't use the fan because it was wobbling around making a ton of noise, and honestly it looked like it might've fell down if we kept it on. The toilet ran constantly, which also made a lot of noise, so my husband and I hardly got any sleep. The shower curtain should also be cleaned or replaced, it was moldy at the bottom and seeing it made the shower/tub feel unclean.

Once we got to the hotel, we were locked outside because our keys didn’t work. Got new keys got to our room. Those keys didn’t work. Had to return to the front desk finally got keys that would work to get in our room got in our room. the room was very clean very spacious. The toilet did not work. They knew the toilet didn’t work because they had the water cut off to it, but still put us in that room. My husband had to fix it because staff wouldn’t. ask for extra blankets, the staff told me that they did not provide extra blankets.

The hotel charged me more than what was agreed and signed with Hotels.com. They charged my credit card with the cost of the guaranty, but they never reimbursed me for this guaranty. I sent them an email to complain, no response.

Called the property after my flight was cancelled and left a voicemail, no one returned my call. Messaged through Expedia, no response. Charged for a room I never saw or stayed in. Can't rate the room or the property just the customer experience.

The location was perfect for Festival International and the staff was very friendly. It states they have a free breakfast which was not available. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, they had a heavy rain the day before we checked in and the lobby had flooded. the water was gone but they had fans going and the mustiness caused my sinuses to react by the time we left.

No early check in available. We were supposed to check in at 3:00pm, and were unable to check in until 6:00pm. I was quoted a price for the room, which was much less than I ended up paying. My total ended up being $60 more than showed when I booked the room. I was not satisfied after all was said and done. The Juliet has a lot to work on, since the new owners took over.

The Juliet was clean, comfortable and has a great location. We will be staying there again.

This was a great little find. Did not know there was a hotel in downtown Lafayette. You can walk most anywhere downtown from the hotel. It is right across the street from the Rock-n-Bowl. This is a great place to stay anytime but especially if you are attending something in downtown Lafayette. I would highly recommend.

This hotel was everything I wanted it to be. We chose it because we were going to see a Rush tribute band at Rock n Bowl, and the hotel is literally across the street from the venue. After spending our time in this beautiful hotel, I quickly chose to rebook it for our next visit on November 30. The building and facilities were clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The desk clerk even went to our room when we walked across the street to Pop's Poboy's (highly recommend) to figure out why we couldn't access the TV menu. There were only three negatives, but they were very minor. Two negatives were that outside of the hotel rooms, the building was warmer than I'd want it to be, and we didn't have a trash can in the hotel room. Neither of these was terrible. Breakfast wasn't served on the Sunday that we were there, but a friend had recommended Carpe Diem, and I'm almost relieved breakfast wasn't available because we enjoyed that restaurant and highly recommend it.

We were very pleased with our stay. Room was extremely spacious and features like the bath tub were ample. You could say the tub could sleep 2. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful but they weren't often at front desk. We were unsure how to check out sonwe just left our room key and hoped for the best... location is prime. We had a lovely evening walking around trying various eateries. Spoonbills right across the street was delightful. They need to update their photos. They made some much needed updates like removing carpet from the rooms. Carpet still exists in the lobby area upstairs and looks likes it needs to be replaced as well. Breakfast options were enjoyable but minimal. They forgot one of our items, if we understood the ordering method correctly. The order sheet could use a redesign to accomidate multpie orders easier. We will definitely be back for arcadian fashion week.

This property is under new ownership and it shows. While our room was clean and nice, We had to ask for hand soap, ice and new keys as the ones provided did not work. The first morning the complimentary breakfast was not available because the cook did not show up. The second morning the croissants were good, but they charged us and extra $8.00 for one slice of bacon and an egg. Truly the only benefit is the location of this property to downtown Lafayette. We will not be staying here again.

Free breakfast made to order was on the website. No such service exists. There's a Keurig in the room with ONE POD. We've been on the phone with the front desk for quite some time attempting to get ONE MORE POD so we can drink coffee in the morning. I think hostage negotiations are less complicated. This is insane for the room rate. Pool and hot tub are FILTHY. The only nice thing I can say is that the location is fantastic. I will NEVER stay here again.
