Always my 1st choice when staying in Galveston. Everything was what I’ve become use to when staying here except the pool. It was not clean this time. You could not even see your feet at the bottom. I know with peak season it’s probably hard to keep it clean. For families (especially with small children) a properly maintained pool is important. Miss the neon lighting at night too.

This is great place for families. There is free parking, Wifi and continental breakfast. We got a studio and it worked well. The hotel shares the pool with another hotel on the property since they are both owned by Marriott. It was not super busy though.

We had a wonderful stay at TownePlace Suites Galveston Island! The hotel is tucked back off the main road, which gave it a nice sense of privacy and quiet. We especially appreciated the covered parking garage under the hotel — a big plus in the Texas heat! From the moment we walked in, everything was clean and updated. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, even accommodating our early check-in without issue. Our room was spacious, with a kitchen, a large table, and firm, comfortable beds. The bathroom was spotless and free of any mildew, which is always a great sign of a well-kept property. The pool area was amazing — clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing. Breakfast in the morning was great, too! They have a bistro menu available at the pool and a full bar but we didn’t eat from there this time. There were a couple of minor issues: our floor had some slumping spots, and the cable wasn’t working properly (though they mentioned this at check-in). We requested a new remote for the TV but never received it. That said, we didn’t make a big fuss — we weren’t there to watch TV anyway, just wanted something to wind down with before bed. I’m not someone who needs a super fancy hotel, but I do like a clean, safe, and comfortable place to stay — and this hotel checked all the boxes. It was the perfect balance of affordability and quality. The view from our room at sunset was beautiful, and I’ll definitely be recommending this spot to others!

The room was clean, hotel smelled good, and they're pet friendly. The pool is fun and the pool bar had lots of good options for adults and kids. The only downside was the free breakfast, the options were limited and space was tight. We had to take the food to our room. Otherwise, it was great!

This had to ne the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. When I seen all the animals in the hotel I thought we had made a mistake. This was not an issue. The employees where on top of mopping and keeping everything looking and smelling clean. Breakfast was simple, quick, and fresh. Pool was a little crowded as it looks like its shared with another hotel infront of it.

Shower was a rainfall. I didn't care for it. A/C would not maintain a steady temp. 3 am woke up sweating. 85 in room. Took it back down to 75. Woke up at 9am 80 in room. Laundry room only takes cards. Debit or credit. Not everyone wans to pay $5.75 for a washer. FYI go find a local laundry wash and dry under $7. It does have outdoor pool i didn't use. So cannot tell you much about it. Parking garage underneath. Quiet area. Dog park on site.

The grounds were well maintained and had a nice area for walking dogs. The toilet was low like a squatty potty, haha. The room was just fine in size and amenity but it had a leaking air conditioner that gave the room a dank smell. Also a wall sconce had been bent off the wall. Even though the hotel was pretty filled, there was never problems with hearing people in the hallway or adjoining rooms. Plenty of parking so that was nice. The location was away from the bars and restaurants but great for quick and quiet beach access. All staff were friendly and and smiling and helpful. The breakfast was not built for a farmboy appetite. Coffee, cold cereal, sausage links, and scrambled eggs. But great for the quick feed and go.

Stayed here for a business trip for 3 days. Great hotel, very clean. It across the road from the water but a good 5-10 minute drive to the shops and to the pavilion. If you’re looking to stay away from the busy part of strip it’s great. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel room had one office chair for seating. The hide a bed love seats had been removed and replaced with nothing. After asking for some kind of chair a maintenance man brought a lightweight metal folding chair. The television was bolted down and positioned at a 90 degree angle to the bed which was the only comfortable place to sit making any viewing problematic. There were zero options for any outside lounging except for the pool area which was closed for the first 3 days of our stay. When the pool area did eventually open the weather prevented us from using it at all. The air conditioning unit in the room had one fan setting (high) and was controlled from a wall thermostat. It was almost impossible to maintain an even temperature in the room and we went constantly back and forth between arctic and warm and stuffy. The desk staff and cleaning staff were friendly and polite and we did enjoy the variations of the continental breakfast. We will not be staying here again or recommending this hotel To anyone.

Beautiful property. We stayed in the Suites behind the Courtyard. It was a spacious room with a small kitchen with full fridge, stove top, and cookware. Could easily see myself doing a longer stay here. Breakfast was very decent and had great hot/meat options. Only downside is that even though it's technically "beachfront", the hotel is located on the part of seawall that is all rocks, no shoreline. You can't walk or swim on the beach. About a 15-20 minute walk down seawall to see any people or get down to the actual beach. Didn't know this until we had already tried walking down to the beach. I just felt bad for my boyfriend who was carrying all of our beach stuff. Next time, I would just drive the car over to the nicer/swimmable part of Seawall.

The hotel was really good. Loved the pool and the breakfast was good. It changed the first 3 days we were there in the beginning but then they stopped and it was the exact same thing over and over again. the last 6 days we were there. The room was amazing except the tv didnt really work. The picture would go in and out. The front said they werw having problems with their provider. It sucked not having a TV with a toddler. I loved having a kitchen to cook in. We made lunch and went out for dinner.

The location of the property was very convenient for walking to the beach. It was also close to a lot of the local restaurants and other activities. I do not recommend this place if you like to relax in bed and watch TV before going to sleep at night. The TV is very glitchy and even when trying to stream an app, the internet is incredibly slow and paused every 2 minutes. It overall was decent for the price

This is not up to Marriott standards. The bathrooms are small and the closet space is awkwardly designed. Our bathroom shower faucet/spigot was coming loose off the wall. There was no couch or armchair in the room, just one desk chair, yet we had a kitchen with a pull out table. Are we supposed to eat sitting on the bed? There was no safe to secure valuables and the front desk had no place for us to secure valuables either. This property shares a pool with the Courtyard Marriott which actually sits oceanfront. We were told to use the safe at the other hotel. But, there was only one safe floor two entire hotels and it was being utilized. How messed up is that? It was dangerous to cross the street to get to the beach, no crosswalks for pedestrians to get to the seawall. Galveston Island as a whole needs to work on this. Things we liked: the staff was welcoming. The breakfasts were good when they were good but inconsistent from weekend offerings to weekday offerings, the happy hour at the pool is a good value with good food. The cabanas cost way too much to rent $200 and went unused the entire week we were there. So, wasted space that we could not use around the pool. There was plenty of parking and it was well lighted around the property.

The Hotel is nice and close to the beach. The staff are great and the breakfast is good. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I booked a suite with a beach view and all I could see out of my window was an empty field. The hotel is not really ON THE BEACH. It’s actually behind another hotel about a block or 2 off the beach. So a slight misrepresentation. There is no indoor swimming pool as shown on Expedia.

The location was really clean and seemed renovated. The room especially the bathroom could use some updates. The lighting was ugly and the painting near the toilet paper holder was peeling. The restroom was clean just seemed dated. The door to the restroom wouldn’t latch so it was impossible to lock it. The cable didn’t work, it was really bad signal. It was frustrating because we have small kids.

We stayed 5 days and enjoyed our stay. The Managers in the front desk really try their best to help you in everything. Giovanii especially is super nice and helpful. I do recommend staying here we sure will be back.

Totally impressed with this place! Staff was amazing and always at work to keep things in order! I had NO complaints about my stay and will definitely plan another stay! You would not believe how many times I saw the staff actively on the grounds making sure all was in order!

Keep coming back to this hotel. However the rooms a getting very worn. Our shower/tub had a giant crack in the wall. I’m sure that water is seeping into the wall, eventually causing mold. Front desk was unattended about 90% of the time.

The property provided ample parking for my bike trailer and large pulling unit. The 2 bedroom unit with the kitchen was excellent for our needs. Everything was great except for that one desk clerk who didn't give a damn. The first request I made was never granted nor did she even put out any effort to try and honor my simple request. I walked around to the desk clerk at the Courtyard and she almost broke her neck to find me the items I had requested. 2nd incident I just simply asked if there was an exit at the end of the hallway, "she stated no", my uncle and I walked right down the hallway and went outside. Everyone else was excellent and went above and beyond especially the breakfast lady, custodian, and MVP to the maintenance man. Sorry to complain like this but I own 3 businesses and if one of my contractors was treating customers like this I would want to know. We'll be back!

The toilet would not work. They sent someone up to fix it he said he would be back. Waited 2 hours and my husband went downstairs and they said they had already left for the night. We had to use the bathroom in the lobby. Around 12am they was willing to move us to another room but I was not getting up and moving after traveling all day. The room also smelled like weed. Also when we check in the person was kinda hateful. Also the TV glitches the whole time.

We had a wonderful stay at TownePlace Suites Galveston Island! The hotel is tucked back off the main road, which gave it a nice sense of privacy and quiet. We especially appreciated the covered parking garage under the hotel — a big plus in the Texas heat! From the moment we walked in, everything was clean and updated. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, even accommodating our early check-in without issue. Our room was spacious, with a kitchen, a large table, and firm, comfortable beds. The bathroom was spotless and free of any mildew, which is always a great sign of a well-kept property. The pool area was amazing — clean, well-maintained, and perfect for relaxing. Breakfast in the morning was great, too! They have a bistro menu available at the pool and a full bar but we didn’t eat from there this time. There were a couple of minor issues: our floor had some slumping spots, and the cable wasn’t working properly (though they mentioned this at check-in). We requested a new remote for the TV but never received it. That said, we didn’t make a big fuss — we weren’t there to watch TV anyway, just wanted something to wind down with before bed. I’m not someone who needs a super fancy hotel, but I do like a clean, safe, and comfortable place to stay — and this hotel checked all the boxes. It was the perfect balance of affordability and quality. The view from our room at sunset was beautiful, and I’ll definitely be recommending this spot to others!

I liked the location right across the beach and kind of away from the main beach so you had more area to yourself. I didnt like you couldnt see the beach from our rooms. Also the placement of the tv was weird and uncomfortable. It was to the side of the bed instead of in front of bed. I had to lay flat so my wife could watch on her side. Ive never seen that before at any hotel.

Beautiful property. We stayed in the Suites behind the Courtyard. It was a spacious room with a small kitchen with full fridge, stove top, and cookware. Could easily see myself doing a longer stay here. Breakfast was very decent and had great hot/meat options. Only downside is that even though it's technically "beachfront", the hotel is located on the part of seawall that is all rocks, no shoreline. You can't walk or swim on the beach. About a 15-20 minute walk down seawall to see any people or get down to the actual beach. Didn't know this until we had already tried walking down to the beach. I just felt bad for my boyfriend who was carrying all of our beach stuff. Next time, I would just drive the car over to the nicer/swimmable part of Seawall.

The location of the property was very convenient for walking to the beach. It was also close to a lot of the local restaurants and other activities. I do not recommend this place if you like to relax in bed and watch TV before going to sleep at night. The TV is very glitchy and even when trying to stream an app, the internet is incredibly slow and paused every 2 minutes. It overall was decent for the price

Stayed here for a business trip for 3 days. Great hotel, very clean. It across the road from the water but a good 5-10 minute drive to the shops and to the pavilion. If you’re looking to stay away from the busy part of strip it’s great. I would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel is nice and close to the beach. The staff are great and the breakfast is good. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I booked a suite with a beach view and all I could see out of my window was an empty field. The hotel is not really ON THE BEACH. It’s actually behind another hotel about a block or 2 off the beach. So a slight misrepresentation. There is no indoor swimming pool as shown on Expedia.

The property was getting a pool renovation and it was spring break week, we showed up to no pool day 1 and freezing cold pool the rest of the time because the heaters didn’t get turned on right away. It is a long way down on the beach, which can either be good or bad depending on what you like. The big cinder blocks cover the beach right across from the hotel, so you have to go down the beach a bit to get sand. It is so far down the beach that there is less foot traffic, therefore more beach to you, but less amenities too. No umbrella and chair rentals close and no food places close either. About 5 miles to Pleasure Pier and the heart of all the happenings.

Parking easy and they don't charge extra for parking on-site. The breakfast buffet has a variety of options although minimal for gluten free. The only true negative is they offer only double beds (full-size), not queen or king. These beds are just too small for a married couple unless you practically want to sleep on top of each other.

The hotel was really good. Loved the pool and the breakfast was good. It changed the first 3 days we were there in the beginning but then they stopped and it was the exact same thing over and over again. the last 6 days we were there. The room was amazing except the tv didnt really work. The picture would go in and out. The front said they werw having problems with their provider. It sucked not having a TV with a toddler. I loved having a kitchen to cook in. We made lunch and went out for dinner.

TownPlace Suites Galveston is a great place to stay. It has a decent pool and outdoor bar. I booked for 6 nights for the 4th of July week.When I arrived my room was not ready yet, I waited at the bar and had a couple of drinks and visited with Sandra the bar tender. I didn't like that the manager was pushing dirty dishes by me but it was a very busy day. Billie and Jovanni have great customer service. They are very friendly and they do everything they can to accommodate your stay. Billie went above and beyond and picked me a very nice room with a wonderful sea view. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the feather pillows. They usually have a live band and food vendors at the pool for the 4th of July week end. I was told the band would be there but the day I arrived the band was not there. This hotel is at the end of the seawall strip. It is located at a secluded end and it's quiet at night away from the busy crowded area. They offer a lot of options for breakfast. The beach is right across the hotel. There are stores and Jimmy's restaurant at the pier within walking distance. Housekeeping staff could improve service, sometimes they don't want to service your room. I wasted half the day waiting for a lady who took 2 hrs at the end at one particular room only to come.and quickly wipe the bathroom in 5 minutes. She didn't make the bed or stock the kitchen. The next time this person came by I handed her the towels and trash so I wouldn't waste my time. The tub was clogged

The room was clean, hotel smelled good, and they're pet friendly. The pool is fun and the pool bar had lots of good options for adults and kids. The only downside was the free breakfast, the options were limited and space was tight. We had to take the food to our room. Otherwise, it was great!

This had to ne the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. When I seen all the animals in the hotel I thought we had made a mistake. This was not an issue. The employees where on top of mopping and keeping everything looking and smelling clean. Breakfast was simple, quick, and fresh. Pool was a little crowded as it looks like its shared with another hotel infront of it.

Jag och min son bodde där i tre nätter. Vid incheckning fick vi vänta på vårt rum i 4 timmar trots att de sa två. Max På frukosten fanns det inget vatten utan man blev hänvisad till att köpa vatten i receptionen. Balsam var slut i duschen, trots påminnelser fylldes detta aldrig på under hela vistelsen Vi var där under fotbolls-VM och ville så klart se matcherna på rummet. Kontrollen slutade fungera första dagen och trots att vi påtalade detta tre till fyra gånger så åtgärdades detta inte förrän efter 36 timmar En otroligt tråkig upplevelse överlag.

We've stay here several times. We like the pool and the suite are nice with full refrigerator and stove top. But this time only one burner worked. The first night the fire alarm started going off intermittently at 2:30 am. That went on for the rest of the night and most of the next day. The staff couldn't or wouldn't give a clear answer on repairs being done. They were 'monitoring ' the situation. It didn't go off agian - thank God. We will probably give this property another chance.

The room was far from advertised and did match the pictures online. The breakfast was very disappointing and we had to eat offsite costing several hundreds of dollars. The bar Castaways did not exist and was a main reason I booked at this hotel. I will never stay at this property again.

The Marriott in Galveston down by The Beach Pocketing so we wouldn’t stay there again. When we got there there was one Mamed in Uniform and he was very nice and Grateful for our hospitality !! The only thing they Had worth Paying for is Nothing I will never stay at this Hotel again also first he said it’s the Big Hotel behind them on Stllts so, I had to Pay for there Hotel Again and extra to be on first. On my Booking it showed the exact address I booked and the Same pictures on the Website who I have used so many times together.
