Everything was sort of ok and not sort of.. Exterior, lobby and breakfast areas were clean ( thats all where we have been ) . Looks like everything got a refresh recently. Going upstairs to the 3rd floor : there was a dehumidifier running in the corridor .. right next to a slightly open window ( so that the water drain tube can be fed out. ) whats that going to achieve - dehumidify wilmington ? anyways, the effect of that dehumidifier was only confined, naturally, to a circle around it. The room was clean. But the musty odor was not helping. AC was quiet. Eventually - we ran the exhaust in the bathroom and sealed the gap under the main door with a bed sheet - so that the room could somehow get a little fresh. My son, a little allergic to stuff started sneezing but a mask helped. Breakfast area is a little crowded. Bare bones as expected. bread/jam/cereal/etc. Otherwise, everything was clean, staff friendly and helpful. If they could do something about that musty odor, this will be definitely be a repeat place where we can come.

The hotel is conveniently located close to UNCW. The price was good and the staff was very helpful. Overall the hotel and room had a musty smell. The carpets in the halls were stained. The room itself was clean though.
